Nous venons de terminer la construction d'une petite maison à louer aux personnes à la recherche d'un endroit isolé, amusant et excitant pour des vacances! Vous avez tout ce dont vous aurez besoin et si nous ne l'avons pas, nous ferons tout ce dont nous avons besoin pour vous en assurer!

Vous entrez dans une kitchenette qui a tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour préparer le dßner ou simplement coller un petit quelque chose au micro-ondes pour chauffer. Il y a un four / grill à convection. et grille-pain tout en un! Il y a aussi un gril sur place pour vous!

L'idée principale est de se préparer à se détendre et à s'amuser! mange bois et sois heureux!

Awesome Vacay

We had an excellent Fourth of July celebration week because of The Medici’s and their rental. Lots of amenities to keeps us busy on and off beach and the fireworks were fantastic! Thank you so much Christi and Rick!

Beautiful and Quiet

Perfect if you are looking for a quiet vacation away from everything. The beach was beautiful and private. The house is small as advertised, but big enough for a small family. It does have all the basics, but I would not plan on cooking there. Multiple restaurants about 20 minutes away and if you are willing to drive further, Cape Charles is about 40 minutes and has restaurants and shops. Christi was very nice and hospitable, great with kids.

A wonderful experience and gracious host

From start to finish, Christie was warm, friendly and welcoming. The hospitality and communication were off the charts. The private beach view is one of the most amazing views we experienced. Very private and a long stretch of beach to walk along. The place was clean and has everything you need from a basics standpoint. The surroundings were awesome. Lots of fields and nature to explore nearby with the golf cart. Highly recommend and will be back.

Million dollar view!

Fabulous place to unwind and revel in the beauty of nature. The tiny house was intimate and very comfortable, and the host was absolutely amazing. We loved the kayaks and tooling around on our bikes. We didn’t use the available golf carts, but we will next time we go, and we plan to return. Wonderful experience!

A Secret Paradise

You will not regret staying here. Our experience was better than we could have ever expected. The tiny house was perfect in comfort and location, literally just a few steps away from the beach. The beach is so peaceful, clean and private! Christi and Rick are the most humble and amazing people I’ve ever met, they will make you feel like family, I don’t know what was harder leaving: the beach or our amazing hosts. We will definitely be back! 11/10 recommend to anyone contemplating this perfect getaway! Thank you again Rick and Christi!!

Peace/Quiet If/When You Want It

Couple of city folks here. We were in dire need of "getting away from it all." We studied out private beach cottages ( we wanted ON the beach, not NEAR the beach) and we came across this one. Was a gem! If peace and quiet is what you are looking for, this is the place. No hustle and bustle of your typical vacation rental, with lots of other travelers and vacationers all around you. The place was all ours! The BEACH was all ours! Christie has thoughtfully outfitted the place with everything she felt we would enjoy. At our disposal were row boats, kayaks, knee boards, etc. She has 6 or 8 crab traps that you can just go out and set any time you want. Afterward, Christie boiled our crabs up for us and taught us how to properly eat Blue crabs. It was a fun and unique experience for us. She has fishing poles already set up and waiting. She has bait for both fishing and crabbing bait ready to go for you and you can just grab it whenever you want and go! While we went for peace and quiet, we heard that another family previously rented the property and brought along 17 total guests who all set up tents on the 1.5 acre property. The property is very versatile. We were even given a street-legal golf cart for the week! Christie was the best host, always available and ready to help us out with anything we needed. The property is beautifully landscaped and well kept. Make sure to read all of Christie's ad. She gives great details. Read the reviews of others as well. The town of Exmore itself is a little slow. Not a lot to do and Covid has a lot of it shut down. We drove to Cape Charles and it was quaint, but still... Be prepared to entertain yourself. We didn't mind as we were there to NOT be surrounded by lots of other people, but if a nightlife, shopping or regular dining out is part of your dream vacation, you won't find it here. Think sleepy little town... Think of "getting away from it all," because you will be far away from it ALL... Which was just the way we wanted it. Oh... The view! Let me tell you something... The sunsets were absolutely astounding. The property is on The Chesapeake Bay facing west. The sun sets in your back yard over the water. WOW! You'll see! Words and even photos cannot do it justice. We are happy to know of this little hidden gem and will keep it in our list of great places (and people) to revisit.

Another amazing trip!

Second time staying here. Brought my husband and 3 boys this time. We all had the best time. Everything was perfect. Christi is amazing, anything you need she will get. From beach time, to bon fires, fishing, riding in the golf cart, cooking, playing you feel safe and welcomed. Love it here. Will definitely be back!! Also the views are to die for!

Angels All Around Us

My husband & I wanted a small place to stay near family members staying in a larger house in the Silver Beach area. We could not have asked for a better rental or better owners. The property is quiet, the tiny house provides all that you need, the beach is steps away and the use of a golf cart made it perfect! From our arrival until our departure, we were treated as family, no request was too small. Our son joined us for part of the week & the use of crab pots was a highlight for him, not to mention the use of a kayak. Our stay was perfect and we will return. Now, on to the angels . . . . we had other family members staying less than a mile from us in a larger rental. My niece's husband is in a wheel chair due to a car accident almost 5 years ago. They came down to our tiny house to visit one day & Christi started talking to them. My niece explained that their goal was to get her husband, Tiny, to the beach so that he could spend some family time, including 3 small grandchildren, on the beach. She had reached out to their rental owner/realtor, VRBO and various pharmacies in the area to get information on how or where to rent a beach wheelchair as his motorized wheelchair will not work in the sand. No one was able to help. Christi immediately said that she could get access to a Gator that would transport Tiny onto the beach as it has 4 wheel drive. Everyone was thrilled. . . unbelievable that a complete stranger a day earlier could make this happen. Plus they were not even staying on their property! The next day, down came the whole clan of 12 + 3 little ones. Christi & Rick had the Gator & and also provided a beach wheelchair borrowed from a neighbor for the beach!! Rick drove Tiny onto the beach, the guys got him into the wheelchair and along with 12 of us + 3 little ones, prayers were answered and the dream of spending family time on the beach was answered. It had been over 5 years since beach time had happened. Tiny's son-in-laws wheeled him into the water for a dip in the Bay!!! This is another first and another goal met for Tiny and my niece and it was all due to angels called Christi & Rick. Wonderful people, wonderful house and wonderful week.

Our New Second Home

It wasn't just a rental but an atmospheric experience. From the peaceful neighborhood to the koi pond to sleeping so close to the ocean to having everything we needed right there. My wife and I wanted for nothing during our stay and enjoyed ourselves at every instant. We wanted a relaxing and stress free getaway and we got it.. No request was too big or too small for our gracious hosts. Everything was provided. We can't wait to go back next year with our children. We are already planning our stay. Hidden Gem

We stayed at Sandy Hill Sunsets for a long weekend. Both the kids and us did not want to leave. The bay is beautiful and sunsets are unparalleled. We had full use of kayaks and paddle boards, as well as a private beach, not to mention, even an ice machine on the premises. It was quiet and relaxing! We will be going back!

Gem of a Get-A-Way

This was our second visit. This vacation was relaxing, comfortable, and magical - again. Sunsets on the Chesapeake Bay are stunning, and being steps away from the house is so convenient with young children. Christi is the best host, very thoughtful and considerate, and is always so nice to my kids. They love her and talk about her often. If I could come once a month I would!! Perfect Weekend

Christi was so welcoming and accommodating. The tiny home was right by the beach with an amazing view from the bay window. Plenty of water toys to choose from and the water was so clean. Having a fire right on the beach while watching the sunset was the highlight of the trip. Definitely helped us unwind from the daily grind.

A Hidden Gem

Making arrangements was super easy with owner. Makes you feel welcomed and relaxed, available to help make plans for local sight seeing and restaurants. Beautiful yard, perfect beach on the bay. Watch eagles, osprey, herons diving for fish. Almost magical. Cabin was cute and cozy with a picture window to see the bay. Lots of outdoor equioment for activities. Absolutely a place to return. We have stayed many places over the yeara and this is one of ours favorites hands down.

Amazing time at the little blue house💙

My best friend and I rented this house for the weekend and had a great time. The views were breathtaking. Had the beach all to ourselves. Christi was just awesome, she treated us like family. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. Already booked our next stay for August and am counting down the days!

Perfect tiny house with the best host

We wanted a quick getaway weekend to relax and explore. This spot was perfect for it. The owner definitely goes the extra step to make you feel welcome. The tiny house was perfect. We will definitely be back. It was too cold and windy for a fire on the beach but the star gazing was amazing. Can't wait until summer to experience it again!

Silver beach 2020 girls trip

Hello, Iam a person who loves a unique experience! This is THE SPOTto come for your own laid back vacation! Christi and rick are awesome hosts! The tiny house is where we stayed?🌅There is also a apartment thats the former garage of the house. Very nice for someone that needs no steps. Also there was a great couple that was staying there. We had all the privacy and space we could want. The tiny house sits closer to the dunes and has awesome view of the bay to wake up to. We crisscrossed paths them a few times but other than that we had the whole property and beach to ourselves! Truly a one of a kind paradise! The sand is soft and white🏖 and the water is beautiful! The waves🌊 ranged from lapping at the shore to flat water almost to bigger waves on our last day we were there. We stayed mon to friday it was beautiful! The dune that sits above the beach has 4 tall chairs that are a view NOT TO BE MISSED! A front row seat to the sunsets that are so gorgeous! Bonfires on the beach, or on the property in 3 different places! They have everything you need and more. Rick and chrsti said pick a golfcart for your stay and its yours to use anytime! Cool! Ok! We all loved it. we cruised the neighborhood everyday! It was lovley to see the history and small shore homes on the bay! Long walks on the beach and bird watching. The schools of fish were awesome to watch. All the watercraft is there for hours of fun! My 20yr old daughter laurel loved learning to paddle board! So much that shes going out to buy one for herself! The tiny house was comfy beds with quality nautical sheets and cute bath and equipped kitchen for cooking all your meals! I loved the nice setup they have for all your grilling needs. Plus laundry and fullsize ice machine for everyone. I feel like i could go on more!!! but just go! and have fun! We will be back christi! You made our bayside getaway vacation the best!

Great small family get away

This was a great place to stay, location is great for those who want a calm beach to yourself. The owner helps you in every way. You name it, she has it or can tell you where to find it. She is great with kids and pets if you stay in her pet friendly location. Highly recommend this hidden jewel.

Quiet, private, and lots to do

Christi was a wonderful host and was great with our two year old and made us feel welcome. She also made sure we had everything we needed to have a relaxing few days on the Bay. We took advantage of all the activities provided in the stay- crabbing, fishing, kayaking, golf cart. Everything was accessible and kid friendly.

Loved It!

The owner was present throughout our visit. She spent time talking with our kids, started a s’mores fire for us, and was extremely friendly. We practically had the whole beach to ourselves for much of our stay and it was so wonderful and magical. My children are still talking about this trip! Hope to visit again soon! Thanks Christie. XO

Excellent location and a great manager

It was a nice stay. We enjoyed the view of the bay, using the kayaks that Christie had for our use. She even cooked a bucket of crabs for us, which were delicious. I definitely would stay at Tiny House in Exmore again.

I am a retired Paramedic and Lieutenant Firefighter for the City of Hampton, VA. I live with my husband, Rick, and our two parrots, Joey and Nikko. I am an outdoors lover and love to fish. We have bon-fires often and just enjoy the evenings and the sound of the waves as they crash along the shore line while looking at the stars above us. We have a fish pond in the yard, but these fish are just for admiring. I love to get around to talk to my neighbors and make sure they are all doing ok. I try to exercise as much as I can by walking on the beach and kayaking. There is a garden in the yard that Rick and I tend to. I love to can the vegetables for the Winter.

So I have been asked how I came up with the name "THELMA'S DAWN". Well, my mother passed away from cancer in 2007. Mom was 68 years old when she was called home. I had a sister, Dawn, who was called home at age 28. She was murdered in January1988. It was fitting to name this beautiful place after the two of them.

I have lived in this home since I was born, except for the 25 years I moved to Hampton, Virginia, in 1985, to take a job as a professional firefighter and went to school to become an Emergency Rescue Diver and Nationally Registered Paramedic. I was diagnosed in 1995 with Multiple Sclerosis, but continued to work in the fire department as an instructor of various Fire, Emergency Medical, Driving, CPR and Water Safety courses. I retired from the fire department in 2006 and moved back to the Eastern Shore, which I have always called my home!

Having MS, I can not enjoy things the way I use to. I love the beach and the water, but due to MS, I cannot stay in the heat long. With this being said, I have felt that this property was being wasted, so I made the decision to renovate a travel trailer that was going to waste and this is how Sandy Hill Sunsets came about! We wanted a tiny house and this made it easy to decide.

This property is special in it's own right. There is a private beach and you can have bonfires on the beach and grill hot dogs, make Smore's, fish at night, put a tent up on the beach if you want and just have a great time just being you with no worries about anything. If you want to drink on the beach, you can.

This is a secluded place where you will not have to worry about loud noises, except those created by nature. If you like serenity, you have surely picked the right place!

You get to drive a golf cart any where you want to go, of course within reason. The fun part is......There is no charge!!!!!!
