A place to feel human again.

Quiet, peaceful, relaxing, amazing ocean view. Nothing as relaxing as sitting on the deck and staring at the ocean for hours on end with the rythmic break of the waves soothing the spirit.

Blissful and Restful

This is a truly wonderful property. The views are fabulous, everything about the place is extremely comfortable including the beds and I would have to say it's one of the nicest places I have ever stayed in. The owners have given attention to detail and they have literally covered everything you can think of. We will most definitely be back.

Perfect spot on the ocean

Owners go to a lot of trouble to ensure a very comfortable stay. Thank you Denise. Highlight was using the bikes to cycle the excellent path to Falcon Bay enjoying magnificent views.

Beautiful views and fantastic hospitality

We were welcomed by Denise and we were pleasantly surprised to find a cheese board along with champagne, fruit and bread for our stay which was a great touch. The views from the deck are amazing and the property itself feels very cozy and homely.

Breathtaking views

Omgosh this place is just beautiful from top to bottom. The ever changing views never become tiresome so much so we hardly left. There were only two things I could say that I would of preferred and thats a dryer and being able to have a longer shower even though its small, as the hot water runs out to quick if you need to do the whole washing hair and maintenance of oneself. But the view made up for that 100 times. ?

Wonderful views

My sister and I had a wonderful peaceful 3 night stay at Wedge. The beds were super comfortable. Lovely decor throughout and lots of reading material. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we might need. The balcony such a great place to relax and watch the amazing changing faces of the ocean and sky. Even though we had bad weather it was still the best place to be.On our arrival we found lovely welcome nibbles in the fridge plus breakfast for our first morning. Denise is a lovely person and very approachable and friendly. Thank you Denise for a lovely stay. My sister says she can still hear the sound of the waves.

Excellent stay at Wedge!

Our hosts Denise and Barry are very considerate. They make our stay at Wedge a memorable one. The house has everything we need and ready for us, we felt very pampered. Wedge faces the sea, every evening we have a beautiful view of the sunset. In a cool breezy night, sometime you can hear the waves.

Great Location

A few ladies went to Wedge for a sewing week end. Wedge is located with a full view of the ocean. This is worth every bit you pay for. The welcome cheese and champers is a very nice touch. The property is older but very well kept and very neat. A very relaxing week end had by all.

We have just spent a week in a heavenly hideaway

Only an hour from Perth, Beachfront - the Wedge is comfortable with sensational views overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean and an almost deserted beach. Denise and her husband are accommodating and generous hosts, only a text away if you have a question and a cheery smile and chat if you bump into each other on the way in or out. The bottle of bubbles and cheese board in the fridge was a lovely touch, we appreciated the gesture. With comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen, the accommodation is clean and there really is everything you could possibly need for a very enjoyable stay. If you are looking for a restful break away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, the Wedge really fits the bill. We loved it.

Wonderful!!!!

We stayed at No 2 and it was simply wonderful. The apartment had everything you could need or want to make your stay totally relaxing and enjoyable. Denise and Barry were the perfect hosts, there if you needed them but gave you your privacy too. We wish we could have stayed longer but hope to return.

Last minute change of plan found us The Wedge

We were due to be in the south of WA, but fires meant a change of plan, and Denise and Barry were able to provide accomation at short notice, and how lucky we were. The house is stylish, extremely well equipped and comfortable with views over the ocean. Parking was good and the town centre was only minutes away. Were we to retrurn to this area we would want to stay here and would recommend the hospitality and welcome. Where else would you be offered home made crab sushi? Thank you De noise and Barry.

Amazing location

The view is even better in real life! Beautiful, empty beaches at the doorstep with shower facilities.Very tastfully furnished and well equipped kitchen. Washing machine in the bathroom - to be honest, I would have preferred a dishwasher... Lots of books to choose from (even in German!) and some Information on the are. Choice of DVD for bad weather (which we had, unfortunately...). Nice open plan layout which in turn means that anyone getting up early has to be very quiet so as not to wake up people sleeping upstairs. Shopping / Restaurants all have to be reached by car (5-10 min drive) except for a Dome Café in walking distance. Street in front of the house but very little traffic. Very friendly welcome by the Denise and Barry, always helpful for extra Information. Thank you very much!

Above Expectations

Our reasons for a weekend away was to relax & recharge. In summary, it exceeded our expectations. The Wedge is positioned a short distance from the hussle & bussle of Mandaruh City Center but you could mistake yourself being in a sleepy seaside village. The beach is directly across the road which had little traffic. Not two minutes walking distance away is a safe swimming area & places to fish. With regard to the accommodation, its the cleanest I have stayed at for a very very long time & not once did I want for looking for items to complete our stay. The kitchen is well catered for & very easy to use. The furnishing are elegant & comfortable. (PS.. take note of the wonderful canvas pictures on the walls). The design of the place is a lovely open plan with views to the ocean from all aspects excepting the 2nd bedroom & bathroom. The only exceptions I can say is the bathroom lags behind the standard of the rest of the accommodation & if your sensitive, the open upstairs bedroom is susceptible to noise & light if sharing with others. All in all, I can not thank Denise and Barry enough for our wonderful stay and we will definitely be repeat customers.

Ocean Ambience and Stunning Sunset Views

With the beach across the road and stunning views from the large deck looking out across the Indian Ocean and an apartment that has everything supplied from quality linen,good novels & music, to all the kitchen crockery,cutlery and appliances it was an ideal retreat. There are two bedrooms upstairs both with fine furnishings and even bath robes available. The view alone and privacy of the units made it such a relaxed time, having all the little extras (like a pantry stocked with the basics) exotic teas and fresh coffee options just added to the experience. The unit was very clean and well presented, parking is available at the back of the unit and the private courtyard allows for another outdoor sitting option. The bathroom is a little on the compact size but does the job. If you need restaurants they are relatively close by but not within walking distance, but why would you need them when you have the best views in town! Denise is to be thanked for looking after everything so well. Looking forward to another stay.

It was not only a pleasant but a great stay - a luxurious self-contained house overlooking the India

It was not only a pleasant but a great stay - a luxurious self-contained house overlooking the Indian Ocean. The friendliness of the owners was unbelieveable. The best Holiday destination we have ever known.If you like a cup of early morning the - you take it in the small private garden and will be able to watch the sunrise.
