THREDBO IN SUMMER

We totally enjoyed our stay in Thredbo and Karas#1. Karas#1 is centrally located. Everything is within easy walking distance. Karas#1 is roomy, well priced and well appointed. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to other travellers.

Wonderful location, cozy, well organized

Warm, well-equipped and cared-for home in a great location above the village with views across to the ski slopes... and a friendly, responsive host. All made for a great long weekend away. Thank you, Amanda. We hope to be able to return sometime soon.

Fabulous

Great apartment with plenty of room for mum dad and our two kids. There was rooms to spare. Well appointed and equiped. Well located a short walk to central or Friday Flat. A mini bus pick up comes by every few minutes which saves even the short walk. Lovely stay.

Lots of space and everything you need

Myself and my 3 kids 11, 13 & 14 had a great stay for the week of Interschools MTB. The apartment is huge and well layed-out. Two balcony’s and 3 bathrooms. Amanda was super helpful. A little bit of a walk up the hill but that’s good for the lungs and legs.

Home Away From Home

I agree the photos don't do this property justice. Well appointed, warm and comfortable this property accommodated 4 Adults & 4 Children comfortably. The 3 bathrooms & large drying room were an added bonus. We loved lazing by the gas log fire & in the spa & cooking homemade meals in the self contained kitchen. In a great location within walking distance to all amentities & a bus stop straight across the road, park the car in the overnight carpark & forget about it for the rest of your stay. Thanks for a great stay!

Enjoyed the stay. Everything was fine except for the internet which was almost non existent. Not good if guests need to do work and rely on the internet. Suggest installing Starlink which has unlimited downloads. For some reason the mixer in the main ensuite sometimes puts out hot water even when the tap is in the cold position.

Average accomodation with no onsite parking

Property could do with some minor maintenance. Internet not reliable, lights in bedrooms very dim, bathroom extractor fans not working, x box not working and tired dining chairs. We would have liked onsite, undercover parking, but didn’t think to check this at time of booking.

Hi Allan, thank you for your feedback. Both electrician and the Cleaner have checked the extraction fans in the bathrooms and they appear to be working. We have had the same lights in the apartment for quite some time and never had any feedback previously. There are dimmers on the walls to control the lighting. There is no Xbox mentioned in the advertisement, and directions for parking provided on check-in. And sometimes the Wi-Fi during periods the Wi-Fi does slow down right throughout Thredbo, unfortunately this is something we're not able to control. We have purchased new dining chairs as a result of your feedback. Thank you again for your comments we strive to ensure we maintain our five star rating and value all comments from our visitors to ensure the property exceeds expectations.

We loved the apartment. It’s an excellent space in an excellent location. Lovely views across to the slopes.Four bedrooms so plenty of space for a couple of families. Two decent sized bathrooms upstairs and an WC/shower downstairs. All the necessary kitchen appliance and a very good washing machine. Fantastic warm room with boot heaters for ski gear and shoes to dry out. Great location just past Candlelight Lodge. The Peak bus stop for the red 1 bus is literally out of the front of the property and the buses come every 5-10 mins to ferry you (more importantly the kids!) to Friday Flats.

The whole experience has been exceptional. Booking process went smoothly, the accuracy of the listing was above expectation, the location closed to most amenities and easy access to such helpful host. It place has truly given us the feeling of being home away from home!

Over and Above!!

What a perfect place to escape the Christmas madness! This absolutely beautiful apartment certainly was a home away from home and while cosy, it was big enough to comfortably house two families with all the bells and whistles! The kitchen was perfect for cooking up a big Christmas feast, which we enjoyed while taking in the amazing view of the mountain visible from every window. The central location meant that croissants and coffee, bobsleds, swimming, chairlifts, and mountain tracks were literally at our doorstep. This really is a magical place, we are so grateful Amanda, for your warm hospitality, and helpful tips... the Dead Horse Gap walking track was definitely our favourite too!! Your attention to detail and all the over and above extras of this apartment made this holiday one of our best. This was our first time to Thredbo, but it definitely won't be our last. We can't wait to come back and stay at Kara's again!

Great apartment. Great experience with the family, hiking snow covered tracks by day, cooking, eating out, playing cards, chatting by the warm gas fire by night.

Awesome Place

Stayed at Karas #1 as a group of 6 in mid-September, and we all really enjoyed our stay. The owner was very helpful, both in the lead up, and during our stay. Great location, with easy access to stairs to the village and a shuttle stop right outside. Very comfortable inside, with all the amenities needed to recover from some great days on the slopes. Awesome stay!

We had a group of 10 stay in this apartment in early September and we were all extremely happy with the whole experience. Amanda was very nice and helpful in the lead up to the stay, providing us with all of the information to make the time go perfectly. Located within walking distance of slopes (not to mention a shuttle stop right out front) we had some really great days both on the mountain and in the village. The apartment was beautifully furnished with the essentials, but also included a whole bunch of extras to make sure we felt totally at home (x box, games, stereo etc). We were especially pleased with Angel, who looked after us during the stay. He was very friendly and accommodating to any needs we had. Thanks so much for having us. Can't wait to come back!!!

Fantastic stay!!

We had the recent Easter weekend staying at Kara's Apartment 1 and we had a fantastic time. In the lead up to the stay, the owner was exceptionally helpful regarding the booking and our bedding requirements. We arrived late at night to a warm gas fire and a unit that is recently renovated and very very comfortable. The online photos dont do it justice. There are multiple combinations of bedding which suited our group of 10 (with 5 kids included). There is a great view and the unit is just above the main village right in town. Definitely recommend this place! And we will be back.
