Bush retreat on North Bruny

Very spacious property with absolutely everything that you could need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was so well equiped and everything was scrupulously clean! We would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful house well presented by Jackie and Jeff, who welcome you on your arrival. Located in the middle of the bush.it’s a relaxing place to visit with great attention to detail including the provision of socks to compliment the ‘no shoes inside policy’. A great spot for birdwatching. We were even visited by a curious Quoll on our first evening, in addition to the pademelons and wallabies.The house even has provision for EV charging. Absolutely recommended.

Return visit

Had another terrific stay at Echidna. Always love staying here and our host is so lovely and welcoming. Enjoyed seeing the wallabies visit the garden one morning as well. Very peaceful place, great to unwind.

We all loved the spotless, clean house, the beautiful view, and the relaxing surroundings. This house feels safe, and it was like a second home to us for our stay.The kids really enjoyed playing outside in the front yard and watching wallabies at dusk and dawn. This is one of the most beautiful places we’ve ever been to. It was so lovely to see both Jackie & Jeff when we arrived. We all loved the warm welcome. We would love to visit again and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Family visit

As usual, we enjoyed our stay (3rd time) and this time had family stay with us who enjoyed it as well. Our host was lovely, the accommodation excellent and the wildlife we saw this time was phenomenal - quolls, wallabies, potoroos, red robins, green rosellas, currawongs and echidnas.

Beautiful stay

The property is in a beautiful bush setting, we were welcomed at the property and Jackie answered all of our questions about local attractions and closest beaches. The house was so welcoming, well set out and had everything we needed. Everything was very clean and easy to find. We will definitely be back again

Perfect Bruny location

Perfect house for our group. Everything has been thought of: plenty of wood for our daily fires, bbq, fully equipped kitchen, books n games. Wish we were staying for a week! Bush setting but close to everything. Stunning views around Bruny.

Idyllic holiday

We absolutely loved our stay at Echidna. Jackie and Jeff provided absolutely everything needed to make our stay comfortable. Their attention to detail was fabulous. We loved all the information they provided about Bruny island and also its amazing wildlife. The house was super comfy in an amazing peaceful setting.

Bush Haven

A wilderness bush haven where you will be visited by gorgeous quolls and other wildlife at night. The property is amazing, spotlessly clean and well equipped with ample room for 8 people. Jackie and Jeff were terrific hosts with great communication skills.

This property is just wow. Immaculate, private and has all you'll need for your stay perfect.

Echidna what can we say, absolutely beautiful this place is our No:1 choice to stay on Bruny Island, peaceful private comfortable , great place to relax the wild life is amazing. Jackie is lovely friendly and ready to welcome you when you arrive, home away from home with all you need, Myself and my partner highly recommend Echidna perfect for that romantic get away, family's couples or by yourself we are certainly looking forward to going back to this beautiful accommodation tucked away surrounded by trees and wild life,
