Family reunion

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Sarasota home. The property was exactly as described and was delightful. Plenty of room for our family ages 25 to 85. Owner was very responsive to any questions. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful house and nice people

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. Our kids loved the pool and movie theater room. Everyone is super friendly and house is very clean and well maintained. We defiantly plan on booking in the future. Also love how a certain percentage of our stay goes into his foundation. Thanks for such a nice relaxing vacation.

Nice place to stay!

We really enjoyed our February getaway to this Sarasota home! Great neighborhood and tons of wildlife behind the house. Our family especially liked to watch for alligators. The heated pool was warm and the hot tub was great. We had everything we needed for our stay and the care taker was very attentive and friendly. She even brought over a high chair, stroller and pack and play for our young kids! We had a great time, highly recommend!!

Great house in a great/quiet neighborhood.

Loved the pool and hot tub. Very clean and quiet. Could not get the speakers by the pool to work but we listened to the birds and frogs instead! We would go back.

Family gathering

Overall it was a spacious roomy accommodation for a family of 14. The young people really enjoyed the large screen projector and the adults the several sitting areas. The hot tub had some issues but owner worked to fix the problems. Pool was not heated as advertised. Beautiful master suite.

Lovely place to stay

The property was beautiful, the home was perfect for our family. Plenty of space for all 9 of us. We didn't use the theatre room or upstairs balcony - which all were very nice. While we were home we were outside in the pool / hot tub. Plenty of chairs and tables outside, very relaxing and beautiful. Kitchen is well equipped. Owners are very accommodating and very quick to respond to any/all messages sent. Along with the property manager, she was fantastic. I would highly recommend staying in this beautiful home.

Beautiful retreat!

Our group of seven college friends really enjoyed our stay at Michael’s house. The property was well-maintained and equipped, clean, quiet, and attractive. The spacious house had several large common areas for us to gather comfortably for meals and entertainment. The expansive screened-in patio with a large pool, hot tub and grilling area was a favorite spot for our group to spend time. The surrounding Misty Creek neighborhood and golf course are pretty and tranquil. We thank the owner, Michael, and property manager, Millie, for their prompt and helpful responses to our questions and requests. We all agreed that we would stay here again without hesitation!

Perfect Golf Getaway Pad

Everything about this property exceeded our expectations. First, from the time I booked the property and had questions, the owner was very responsive. He also checked us in and followed up with us during our stay. Michael knows how to provide great customer service! The property itself is luxurious with a hot tub, pool and located in a nice gated community. Very much a Ritz Carlton feel. It is well furnished with high attention given to details. Everything we needed during our stay was there. Oh, and the beds were very comfortable…That is premium for a golfer after 27 holes per day. In summary, I highly recommend this property.

Awesome stay!

We had a fantastic four days/three night stay at this property. We were eight adults and four kids and had plenty of room to spread out. The property is gorgeous and well maintained. The upstairs movie room is awesome!!! Surround sound, comfy seats, and great for a large group. The master bedroom was closed off but we didn't even notice bc it's on the other side of the house. The only negative are the amount of breakable items in the home, so we just made sure to put all the glass items in an area where the kids won't break them :) We will definitely be booking this property again in the future. Thank you!!

Horrible experience!!! Do Not Stay Here!

The master bedroom is not available in the house to use. The water wasn't working and the big tv in the pictures didn't work. The a/c down stairs didn't work. The responses from the management team were not acceptable at all. The owner was out of the country so we couldn't even talk to him. He just referred us to the unprofessional people in charge. It was a complete nightmare. We left only after one night when we woke up and there was no hot water after the water finally got turned on. It is a shame. The neighborhood was very nice!

I'm very glad to see that our guest recognized the neighborhood was very nice as its located in a gated community with a beautiful golf course on a wild life preserve. That is the only true statement in this review made by the guest. Our master bedroom was not listed as available on our listing and we have 4 beautiful and spacious bedrooms with queen beds available for all our guests. Due to the owner not being at the property for an extended period of time the main valve is turned off as a precautionary measure, there is no water issue at the home. Our home theater is fully functional with chromecast, 4k Super ultra high definition (suhd), Blu ray and Netflix services. Unfortunately the cable box was not functioning in that movie room at that time (has since been fixed) however we have TVs in our kitchen and living area that also work perfectly. Our air conditioning unit has no issues. We ask that our guests not adjust our humidifier settings resulting in the units appearing to be faulty. Unfortunately the guest accidentally turned up the humidistat instead of the ac. We have an annual contract ensuring our units are maintained regularly. At every step of the way we respond to all our guests in a timely manner by phone, messaging as well as in person by either one of our representatives. We ask that our home is treated with the utmost respect and that our guests abide by our rules as any violation will result in the termination of our agreement as stipulated in our listing and endorsed by HomeAway VRBO. Unfortunately this guest did not abide by our rules. We reported the issue to HomeAway for a major unlawful violation and the guests were asked to leave.

Luxurious and relaxing!

Michael's property is wonderful. The house is beautiful, big, spacious and well furnished. The highlight is the massive heated pool with attached hot tub. The sunshine and scenery from the lanai / pool are so great that you will probably spend very little time indoors. We did not even take advantage of the impressive theater room - although it looks terrific. The kitchen is well stocked, but be aware that this is a rental property, so appliances, cookware, etc. are appropriate for such a setting. Also be aware that if you are renting with fewer than the maximum number of people, the property manager will close off any unused bedrooms/bathrooms to save on cleaning cost. The property manager stopped by the first afternoon for a quick walk-through and was very helpful. The location is about 20-25 minutes from downtown Sarasota, so it is quiet and peaceful, but any attractions you may seek will require a moderate drive. There is a Publix supermarket 3 minutes down the road which is very convenient. I highly recommend this property to those looking for a comfortable, quiet place to relax and soak up the Florida sunshine!

Nice but not ready for guests

We rented the property for 12 days. We have rented other places through similar methods over the past few years. The home is very nice. Beds are comfortable, view of pond and golf course was great. Neighborhood was nice. We were met at the home by Dazery, who gave us a tour of the property. She identified herself as a good friend of the owner. We followed her through the front door and were immediately instructed to remove our shoes and told we were not permitted to wear them in the house. There was a basket of flip-flops at the front and back doors we were told to use. There was no hand soap at either of the master bathroom sinks. The bath towels were stained. The Master bedroom was nice and had room in the closet but there were virtually no drawers that were empty to put clothes in. We had no hot water for a couple of days or so. It was barely warm enough to shower but we managed. The hot tub and pool were too cold to use for 4 or 5 days. The grill by the pool was not working. The other grill needed cleaning so we didn't bother to use it. The TV in the master bedroom and in the living area adjacent to the kitchen did not work. It was a nice home, but we were put off right away by the fact that the owner did not allow us to wear our shoes in the home. We have a home as nice as this one and would never ask anyone to remove their shoes before they walked on our floors. Had we known that ahead of time, we would never have rented the property. We had no intentions of using the flip-flops. We abided by their rules by going barefoot or wearing socks, but weren’t happy about it. As soon as we finished the tour with Dazery, we went to the store to shop for hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and paper towels. The TV issues and the pool and hot tub not working were blamed on a power outage that occurred with some storms the week before and were eventually fixed. There was a laundry room, so we washed towels before using them. The stains came out. When Dazery was back at the house rebooting the TV’s, I mentioned the water temperature in the house. We found out the hot water tank had been unplugged. Dazery was very helpful and apologized for all of the inconveniences that we had to put up with and did her best to see that issues were corrected. We would recommend to the owner to consider hiring a management company that would make sure the property is ready to receive guests, because in this instance, it certainly was not.

We apologize for the stained towels and not having hand soap, again this is not our policy. Unfortunately the electrical issues you encountered were beyond our control due to a recent storm in the area. As you are aware we took action and worked quickly in resolving those matters. Thank you for your feedback and recommendations, it's greatly appreciated. Steps have been taken and changes implemented to ensure these issues do not recur. It's never our intention to provide less than excellent service to ensure your experience is a pleasurable one. In life we often rely on others to assist since it's impossible to be in more than one place at a time. However what we're being told is not always accurate. As the owner, I will be more involved and vigilant to ensure our clients enjoy maximum satisfaction and tranquility at the preserve.

The house was perfect for our family of 11. Kitchen well stocked, spacious living areas, and wonderful outdoor seating and pool area. The only issue was the heating of the pool. We were under the impression that heating it was included in the rental price. It was not but communicated with the owner to come to a compromise. Overall, it was a home we all enjoyed for the week.

Great house but cold pool

The house was great with plenty of room but pool was unusable due to it being too cold even though was advertised as heated pool. Also gated entry to neighborhood was a little difficult when having two cars. And security system at home should be silenced when guests are renting it. For these reasons, I rate it 3 stars out of five.

Great house, not a speck of dust. Big pool, upgraded appliances, amazing movie room. Master bath makes me drool :-) Water was off, spa not heating, and kitchen fridge not cooling on arrival. Fortunately, the local property manager met us at the house upon arrival. He said to text if we missed anything. Whoops! But within an hour of arrival, everything was sorted out. If it weren't for Tyler, I would be leaving a 1 star review. Great spot, ask for Tyler's contact info!

Wonderful! Can’t Wait to Return!

We loved wintering in this beautiful and spacious home with its pretty setting, heated pool, quiet neighborhood, and gorgeous sunsets. The house was well equipped, and we enjoyed watching movies in the media room. Michael’s life story is amazing, and he truly cares about his home and guests. Dazery, his property manager, went above and beyond to make sure was everything was in order. We cannot say enough nice things about this team. Sarasota offers so much for visitors in any season, and we look forward to staying here again.

This property is everything a family could ask for under one roof. The kids loved the movie room. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub! The property owner and manager are super friendly and welcoming. Nothing less than 5 stars!

Wonderful

Enjoyed our stay. Caught a few fish from the pond, watched the sand hill cranes from the house and the movie room was fantastic!

We enjoyed serving you! Don't make me jealous now I hope you didn't catch one of those 10lb bass in the lake. I've been trying to catch one for years now :-) We've made it more convenient for you by installing 40" smart tvs in every room. The master suite is also now included for your pleasure!

Humbled

I loved being here. It was beautiful place and I was able to reboot. Very peaceful and was exactly what I needed. I want to stay at this owner's other vacation rentals. it was well worth it. I feel blessed to have stayed here. thank you Micheal for such a beautiful home
