The house was well-maintained and fit our group of 10 comfortably. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to use. We loved that linen was supplied so we didn’t need to bring all of that with us. The host answered all queries promptly and in detail. We loved staying at this property so much we will be back again next year.

The house was very well presented and exactly as described. It was well set up for 8 adults and 4 children with games, spacious living areas with 2 tvs and a good kitchen. It was an easy walk to the beach and nearby playgrounds. The quiet court provided opportunities for parking and street cricket. The owner was very responsive and delivered access information in a timely manner. We enjoyed it so much we are looking to book again for next year.

The house created a beautiful calming element amongst the trees. The house can be echoey with many kids though the facilities and location to the beach far makes up for it. The host was awesome with communication and responding. It was absolutely lovely staying there. Just if you like coffee like us first thing, you’ll need to bring your own coffee machine. However there are many awesome coffee places in town.

Fantastic location and space for friends or family. Just a short walk to the Main Street and beach. We all loved our stay and will definitely stay here again.

Great Location

We stayed there with two families, 12 of us in total and the house is a great size and has everything you need there. It’s within a quick walking distance to the beach. Also a quick drive to everything. We will definitely stay here again

We absolutely loved our stay. Mark and Fiona are wonderful hosts who really look after their guests. This is our third time staying at McLardy Island Retreat and we have already booked for next year. The home is neat, tidy, clean and spacious. The amenities are great quality. We cook a full Christmas dinner. Just a short stroll to the local beach and Cowes shopping strip. We just love it, and our dogs are safe in the spacious yard. We also enjoy seeing the wallabies and rabbits in the front yard every morning. 10/10

Family getaway

The perfect property for our family getaway. A room for each couple and beds to spare which would be perfect for future use as more grandchildren come. Close enough to the beach and the main street to walk but far enough to create the quiet haven feels. Highly recommend this property.

Comfortable well appointed suitable for a family stay. Property has everything needed for younger and older teenagers especially garage setup with pool table and table tennis table lots of fun had by everyone. Overall a great place to stay.

Excellent for a large family.

The property was perfect for our family, with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs. The kitchen and living area was large and perfect for a large group. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms modern and clean. Walking distance to the beach. We would definitely stay here again.

Great family get together

Just had a great stay in Cowes. The house suited us perfectly, 6 adults and 2 children. The house had everything we needed with a great supply of kitchen plates, cooking goods, entertainment etc., plenty of room, different areas to keep everyone happy. Nice and handy to the beach and all things in Phillip Island. Would definitely recommend this house to others.
