Charming well presented cottage with all the amenities needed for a great stay. The beds were very comfortable, lovely warm and cosy getaway. Would highly recommend and we will be back for another stay.

I was seeking a cosy, comfortable, cottage in a 'country' area - two bedrooms and fireplace essential. There are plenty of 'love nests' available with 1 bedroom -suitable for couples, but not relatives or friends.I was SO happy to find 2 Cox Street Maldon. Our first sighting from the roadside brought joy and expectation of good things and good times. We were most definitely not disappointed!It is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated throughout, with extremely comfortable beds & couches. It was most definitely clean and well provisioned. A pure pleasure to stay for three luxurious nights. ....plenty to see and enjoy around historic Maldon!Thumbs up from us.

A quaint Cottage just out of the Maldon Township. A Coonara wood fire made things lovely over the two rather cool/cold days. We were provided with everything we needed for our couple of nights.The cottage is a credit to Gayle.

A thoughtfully renovated cottage, in an idyllic setting. We loved the special touches from the welcoming communication and homemade cookies, the furnishings and being made to feel at home. Easy walk into town or alternate adventures beckoned. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed staying in the miner's cottage in Maldon because it had everything we needed for a mid-week holiday from the city. Books and tourist leaflets about Maldon's history helped us understand the landscape and location of the town. It was an easy walk into town. We found the walk up the Mt Tarrengower was tiring but worth it for the view from the lookout. We could have taken the road to the lookout if we didn't want the exercise. The cottage stands at the foot of the mountain so we were glad to flop onto the lounge chairs when we got back after the walk. We learnt that Maldon is a weekend town because most of the shops are open on Saturday and Sunday. However, there were enough restaurants and cafes open mid-week to keep us fed. Portia and Co. and the newsagent were full of delightful discoveries. The volunteers at the Maldon Visitor Information Centre gave us useful advice. We enjoyed the absence of the weekend crowd when we were there in the middle of the week.

Check in was easy with our host Gayle. The cottage was clean and the kitchen had everything you need with the option of purchasing local organic honey as there are beehives on the property!

Simply wonderful

An amazing place to stay, clean, cozy and comfortable - I did wonder if we stumbled into a beautiful home magazine shoot. A lovely walk into town, warm welcoming hosts. This was a great stay.
