We had an amazing stay at Ocean Retreat at Kingfisher Bay Resort\. There were 10 of us staying in the house, and it was absolutely perfect for a large group, with plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy themselves\.The location is fantastic — right on the beach, with everything at Kingfisher Bay Resort within easy walking distance\. We actually didn’t go out for a meal once during our stay because the house had everything we needed to cook, eat and spend time together\.The house was spacious, comfortable and in a beautiful location\. Being able to walk straight out to the beach was a real highlight\.We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend Ocean Retreat to families or groups looking for somewhere special to stay on K’gari\.Thanks again, Pete, for a fantastic stay\. We’ll definitely be back\!

Great Stay

Awesome location and lovely big home which suited our needs perfectly as a large group. All facilities extremely conveniently located to the home and owner Peter was very easy to communicate with and quick with replies.

Amazing perfect location for what we needed especially with younger kids . House was perfect for our big group 3 bathrooms beautiful big house with everything we needed made life easy . We will definitely be back .

Everything was great - exactly as described! The host was incredibly helpful and the location was absolutely perfect! Still in the resort to enjoy its amenities but also a short stroll directly to the beach! We had 3 families and the house was exactly what we were after- big enough for all of us but spacious enough to enjoy your own space. Could not recommend this house more! We will definitely be back!

For our annual extended family trip, 7 adults & 7 children, the house was pretty much perfect. The massive open plan living area, with extra long dining table, along with the lovely long deck & outdoor table, meant we had multiple options to all sit together for food, chatting & boardgames/cards. The only downfalls were that as 2 of the 3 bathrooms are ensuites that left only one bathroom between 3 adults & 4 children (the other 3 kids used the ensuite of their parents room) & the bunk room doesn’t have a proper ceiling fan, just a small fan attached to a wall, so their wasn’t a lot of air flow in a room that had 4 kids sleeping in it… neither of these points was enough to to impact on such a great property & the wonderful holiday it provided. The resort facilities were also great.

It was a fantastic stay. The house is large and plaenty of room inside and out. There were a few cleaning things that werent done by housekeeping.

Work Retreat

Perfect for large groups whether families or groups of friends. The house was much larger than anticipated with loads of space inside and out. Great location and everything there that we needed. Resort staff were also excellent. Highly recommended.

Great holiday house

Large, spacious holiday house. Great for extended families. Very good location close to the beach.Extra large deck and loved the seating for large groups both inside and on the deck.Some minor maintenance needed including lights in main lounge kitchen quite dim.Great to be able to use the resort facilities but excellent to be able to self cater in such a large house.Beds comfortable.

Perfect all round

From the amazing beachside position to the high standard of the house we had a great 3 nights here. Really wish it could have been longer but the house is heavily booked. More than comfortably housed 3 families of 4. Would highly recommend

Awesome K’gari

The house was beautiful, lovely and spacious for all our family- young and older. Fantastic location in the resort, very quiet but also close to the Kingfisher bay resort facilities. Easy access from the barge too. Everyone was extremely helpful and so nice n happy, great atmosphere all round.

Expansive, tranquil, eco-luxury, beachside retreat house

A perfect space for our women's yoga retreat, with plenty of living and kitchen space. The large balcony was ideal for relaxing along with group practices, as well as the beach-side area for morning and sunset yoga and meditation. It was very soothing being surrounded by relaxing sounds of wildlife, the beach and the breeze blowing through the big gums, and so close to Kingfisher's facilities too.

5br K’gari retreat

Great property, amazing location, well provisioned and equipped. Modern open plan with lovely rooms, en-suites etc…My only critique would be the lack of internet or Wi-Fi so limited viewing a d entertainment in the evenings.. Also serious cockroach problem with them crawling across benches and beds in the evening.

Family get together

We have six adult children and book this accommodation each year and ask all plus partners. The house is big and roomy and we all have plenty of room. We have access to all amenities at kingfisher.

Big Group Big Room

We had 4 families all staying together under the 1 roof for the 1st and this house was perfect for that. So much room! So much to do. Beach was close, jetty was close resort facilities were close. We all loved it. Communication was so easy, the location was so quiet. Beds were big and comfy.
