UNE MAISON MODERNE DE 2 CHAMBRES ET PETIT DEJEUNER ALPINE HÉBERGEMENT; Capacité d'accueil 4 avec petit-déjeuner continental fourni chaque jour. Accès indépendant par escalier avec un grand balcon. Supermement fini avec spa, salon séparé et kitchenette, buanderie, TV / vidéo, air conditionné, lecteur CD et barbecue. Votre propre parking sous couverture et l'accès à une lessive partagée.

N'hésitez pas à traverser les jardins de quatre saisons, comme indiqué sur ABC Gardening, faire une promenade le long du ruisseau de montagne clair ou vierge ou sur nos sentiers pédestres et attraper les vues magnifiques. Une multitude d'oiseaux habitent le jardin et le buisson, marchent ou se rendent en ville.

Les chalets Shady Brook possèdent trois chalets indépendants individuels et un appartement spa sur la rivière Ovens (voir site web). Ils sont situés sur 12 acres, 8 acres est un jardin paysager dans un cadre pittoresque très unique, une rivière d'un côté et une forêt d'état sur les trois autres, à seulement 500 mètres du village de montagne de Harrietville, mais votre retraite isolée.

Harrietville est un village historique à la base de Mt Hotham et Mount Feathertop. La ville dispose de deux hôtels, musées, cafés et une boulangerie servant du pain frais tous les jours. Montagne La truite fraîche et la ferme de saumon est également une activité préférée avec notre ferme locale de lavande avec son propre café sur la rivière Ovens.

La ville et Shady Brook sont idéalement situés pour le tourisme à la nature avec les chemins de randonnée iconiques à travers le grand parc national alpin. Le parc national alpin borde le côté est de Harrietville et votre promenade peut commencer de votre chalet à Mt Feathertop. Ou prendre un trajet 45 minutes au point le plus élevé de Mt Hotham.

Autour du village, il existe de nombreuses pistes et sentiers adaptés aux familles pour la marche ou le VTT. La ville et Shady Brook sont idéalement situés pour le tourisme à la nature avec les chemins de randonnée iconiques à travers le grand parc national alpin. Le parc national alpin borde le côté est de Harrietville et votre promenade peut commencer de votre chalet à Mt Feathertop. Harrietville possède de nombreuses pistes motrices à quatre roues et des motos dans la forêt d'état sur notre ouest.

Seulement un court trajet en voiture à Bright, il existe de nombreux bistrots magnifiques, des activités sans fin de base naturelle et divers restaurants pour répondre à tout budget. Pour les plus aventureux, il existe de nombreuses activités basées sur la nature, y compris le Mystic Mountain Bike Park.

Cosy, warm and convenient

This is a cosy little place close to shops and pubs. The view of the garden from the balcony is spectacular and it was warm for our mid-winter stay.

Magical garden

John and Anne made us feel very welcome, and we felt so lucky to share their wonderful garden. I had a marvellous time exploring the nooks and corners, and sitting by the creek. Fresh eggs from the free range hens and charming Harrietville- a perfect gem to stay and take a breath before the busy season.

The perfect getaway.

This was our second stay with John and Anne and it won’t be our last. We simply love it here. The scenery is stunning and the birdlife magnificent and that’s without even leaving the grounds! Harrietville is the perfect base to explore the area. The room is clean, comfortable, equipped with everything we needed and the view from the verandah made us never want to leave! Love it so much!

Quiet oasis in a beautiful village

2 cottages and an apartment (the upstairs of the hosts' house). Stunning gardens, great hosts. We were in the apartment which has lovely views of the garden but is a bit smallish (even for just 2). Although we didn't see inside, the cottages looked much more spacious and certainly had more privacy and general ambience, being set in different parts of the garden. No complaints though.

Great Holiday after a tough year

Thank you John and Anne for giving us a wonderful stay at your cottage. We really loved exploring your beautiful garden. Our son enjoyed splashing in the stream next to the property. Tranquility and beauty! Great location close to the snow!

Shady Brook Cottages had a stunning view in the gardens surrounding the apartments and cottages in site as well as of the mountains. It is a very relaxing atmosphere to unwind for a few days in comfort. My partner and I would like to thank John and Anne for their outstanding bed and breakfast service as well as providing excellent, friendly service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay close to the snow at Mt Hotham and would gladly visit again! Thankyou!

Anne and I (john) are passionate about Shady Brook. We believe we have develop a magnificent garden in a very unique location which we love to share with others. We are passionate gardeners, and enjoy the pristine mountain environment we live in. We are both involved in our local community and believe life is found in giving. Anne has poultry which adds to the setting as they wander through the gardens. We wanted to developed something that was more than just accommodation but an experience that will last and be shared. Anne and I do all our own maintenance and cleaning to ensure the highest standard.
shady brook is set in an unique spot right on the Ovens river on fertile river flat with very steep mountain taking off at the rear of our property. This has enabled us to develop lush special gardens with a fantastic array of autumn and spring colour, summer also with hydrangeas and dahlias and others also compete in this regard.S

Your cottage is craftsmen built by local builders on an alpine style to complement the environment in which we live.

Shady Brook has been set out amongst magnificent gardens with spectacular all year colour our spring and autumn colour is to seen to believed. We are set on the Ovens River and surrounded by state forest secluded and quiet yet only .5km from the local bakery and hotels. It is the ideal place for just relaxing listening to the birds and the mountain stream right near your accommodation. If you are into nature based activities we are virtually head of trail for two of the most iconic mountain walks up mount feather top. There are also plenty of great short to medium walks to suit all ages most of which are shared with bikes. Then for the road cyclist this is the mecca with rides throughout the Alps. For those who like a different style of adventure to our west are endless four wheel drive tracks out to mountain ridges and down into pristine rivers. There are endless short drives to wineries and restaurants the variety is amazing only 25km from Bright. In winter its the ideal place to stay to enter the ski resorts only 30 kms from Mount Hotham
