This place was great. Super clean and had pretty much everything you needed. Looking out at the ocean while having my morning coffee was amazing! My grandkids burned up so much energy between the ocean and the pool. Would definitely recommend this place for your family.

Quiet paradise

Everything was perfect for us, it is remote but this is what it makes it an incredible place to stay. Bernardo is an amazing host, very accommodating. It was our first time in Costa Rica. We spend 2 wonderful weeks and looking to come back asap.

Family getaway

We love this VRBO for families. The pool and ocean access are wonderful. Unfortunately, the power went out and would have liked to have been given candles or lanterns as it was getting very dark. But has soon as I asked for them, the power was restored. Overall, great place to stay,

Loved the “private” beach feel. Construction next door to house was loud in the mornings but otherwise was not terrible.

Great week.

We had a wonderful relaxing week at the beach. Several members of our group are birders and loved seeing so many great species right from the garden! The location was peaceful and had access to tours and parks within an hour's drive.

This VRBO has wonderful things and challenging things people need to be aware of. The house is located on a black sands beach that is safe, quiet and very private. The outside space with the pool, covered patio and open decks with ocean views is outstanding. We loved spending time out here. The master bedroom also had a comfortable bed and AC and the bathroom was upgraded as were most of the bathrooms in the house. We loved all the wildlife-Scarlet McCaws, white faced monkeys, iguanas and racoons and just down the road were a family of howler monkeys that we liked watching. The challenges with this house is that is set up a bit differently. The master bedroom is in the main part of the house where the dining room, very small living room and kitchen are, but the other two bedrooms can only be accessed by walking outside. Great for adults but not if you have small kids. There is also no AC in the main part of the house, only fans and it gets quite hot in there. The kitchen was dirty when we arrived and the glasses, all plastic, need to be switched out as they were well used. The stove was also dirty looking and could be cleaned better, but it did work. Because this house is not close to many restaurants, we were hoping to cook in more, but the cleanliness had us not wanting to do this, plus it was hot inside. We had to navigate lots of sugar ants inside and outside. We did not swim in the ocean because of the trash that came up on the beach. Our host was responsive.

The Best of Costa Rica

After spending several weeks in various locations across CR, this Tivives home was by far our favorite. We had a large party and this home allowed all the privacy they needed while providing excellent communal space. The pool, cabana, open kitchen and access to a virtually private beach were outstanding. It is a bit remote, but I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away from the resorts and other tourists. Also, please try Rastaurante Costa Linda at the entrance to the community. Wonderful people. Bernardo was a wonderful host and after a little initial miscommunication (which he corrected immediately) we had zero issues. Very helpful.

True Costa Rican Vibe

A very clean stay with my family. We enjoyed every moment of our stay there. The pictures are very accurate and the view was beautiful. The pool was so amazing to be on the beach with the view it has. I would most definitely recommend a stay here. Bernardo was very nice and a great property manager. One night at 9pm I called him because a key to a certain door was not there. He went out of his way to have a key delivered to us immediately. It was late and I did not expect an answer to be honest. Very thankful for the great communication. Only downside is the beach there isn’t friendly. Very powerful and lots of tree logs everywhere but still a beautiful sight.
