Beautiful house but poor management

Lovely large home great for big groups. Fantastic waterfront location on the lake. Only complaint re property is in regards to level of cleanliness, as home had not been thoroughly cleaned before arrival (eg food left in oven). Communication with property manager was poor. Complicated registration process, emails which referred to cameras being used, and far too many text messages, some of which were spam: eg discounts to seaplanes, discounts for additional nights etc. When on holiday it’s preferable not to be interrupted by unnecessary text communications from the property manager.

Our online registration is similar to a hotel desks and can be done within minutes from your mobile or desktop computer. Family getaway

Ten of us, including 4 teenage kids and 6 adults stayed at this property (main house plus the studio) for a weekend. It was fantastic! There was plenty of room in each of the bedrooms, with the main room having heaps of room and a great sized en-suite. From all reports, all of the beds were comfortable. Huge kitchen and dining/living space with all the cooking and kitchen utensils you could ever need. The deck was a perfect setting overlooking the Lake and the kids had plenty of room to run around in the grassed area out the back. Beautiful tropical garden between the studio and the main house. There was only one minor issue and that was the access to bedrooms 3 &4 was via the walk-in closet of the main bedroom. Having said that, each room had their own sliding doors to the front deck so this wasn’t a huge issue all the time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend to others with a large family or group of friends.

Comfortable, well equipped home

This 5 bedroom house accommodated 10 members of our family very well. The kitchen was well equipped and there were lots of games for children and adults. The view onto the lake was superb. It would be great for someone who had a boat as there is a private jetty there which is also good for fishing. We were able to play ball games on the lawn near the lake but it was very hot. A nearby Marina provided free kayaks and paddle boards. This would be a top property if it had a pool. We found a local pool not far away. Some people swim in the lake but our kids didn’t like the slimy lake front. We also saw a blue ringed octopus at another spot on the lake so decided it wasn’t a great place to swim. Morisset is a quiet but fairly uneventful area with not much in the way of entertainment for kids. Otherwise it was a restful, beautiful place to be. The managing agent was good to deal with always answering questions promptly. Thanks to the team at Weekenda.

Some shortcommings

The property is great and exactly what we had hoped for. However the overall experience was tarnished by the managing agents very frequent warnings of the severe consequences of failing to comply with the terms and conditions. I can read. I don't need to be told ten times I will be penalised for any transgression. Then to add to the insult after being told there will be a $50 charge if the BBQ is left not cleaned, we found on arrival the BBQ was filthy, as was the microwave. To their credit a cleaner was assigned the next day and did an acceptable job on both appliances. In summary, the property is great but the managing agent is not adding to the owners asset.

Gorgeous home in a fantastic setting

Home was absolutely gorgeous, clean and tidy and the check-in process was easy. The views are outstanding too I’d highly recommend.

Wow what a beautiful place to stay

We booked this house to spend some time with my mum for her 60th birthday. The house and location is simply amazing! Whilst the photos on the website look great you'll still be very surprised when you see it. We'll be back
