Katama Gem nouvellement inscrit sur Martha's Vineyard, MA

Maison familiale de 6 chambres récemment rénovée à quelques minutes de l'océan. Situé sur une ruelle tranquille au large d'Edgartown Bay Road, le quartier le plus recherché de Katama. Plusieurs ponts et salons. La maison principale dispose de 5 chambres. Une belle-famille ou une gardienne? Une suite lit king-size privée est située dans un bùtiment séparé. Une grande cour et une vaste pelouse entourent la maison, permettant des brises croisées partout et beaucoup d'intimité. Certaines parties de la maison ont été récemment rénovées, avec de la nouvelle peinture partout, et tous les meubles sont neufs pour la saison 2020. La maison peut accueillir deux familles ou une famille multi-générationnelle. La suite king privée est un gros bonus et agit comme un second maßtre ou un endroit séparé pour les beaux-parents ou une fille au pair.

Ce magnifique complexe familial Vineyard donne sur Norton Point, une bande de dunes de sable de 2,5 km de long reliant Martha's Vineyard et l'ßle de Chappaquiddick. A 5 minutes en vélo de la magnifique South Beach avec des plages de sable blanc. Une courte promenade jusqu'à l'atterrissage en bateau de Katama Bay pour lancer votre kayak (Island Spirit a des locations) ou rouler 3 miles jusqu'à Edgartown sur la piste cyclable. Vous pouvez emmener votre véhicule à quatre roues motrices sur la plage en achetant un permis auprÚs des syndics de réservation. Norton Point et South Beach offrent la meilleure opportunité sur le vignoble pour les palourdes, le surfcasting, la natation, l'observation des oiseaux et les pique-niques. Emplacement, emplacement, emplacement!

En outre, à proximité à distance de marche se trouve le 162 acres Katama Farm Institute, une ßle à but non lucratif consacrée à la conservation et à l'agriculture. Promenez-vous sur une paire de sentiers de randonnée plats de moins de deux miles le long des pùturages sud, ou faites une petite épicerie au stand de la ferme toute l'année.

Katama est un petit quartier de plage calme à 5 km d'Edgartown, accessible par une piste cyclable, en bateau ou en voiture. Edgartown est réputé pour son architecture de l'époque de la chasse à la baleine, ses boutiques et ses restaurants incroyables. Le port d'Edgartown est l'un des plus beaux du monde. We had a wonderful stay at this property. It was impeccably maintained, clean, well stocked with towels, bed linens and a completely stocked kitchen! The generous living quarters were comfortable, spacious, and overlooked the beautiful property. The location was the Best in Katima, 4 minutes from South Beach. Our property manager Barbara was responsive and so helpful. Everything was effortless and enjoyable. We recommend this property so very highly! I will recommend to All my friends and family! Perfect for multigenerational family vacation

This was a fantastic property for our family vacation. It comfortably accommodated my brothers and their families as well as mine and our 84 year old father. The suite above the garage was a perfect addition to provide more space for us to spread out throughout the week. The morning walks to South beach were beautiful and we could pop into Edgartown really easily. The property manager Barb was amazing with communication and responsiveness. The property as a whole was well laid out and in excellent condition. We had a great stay.

Amazing owner, amazing home, amazing location

We spent a week. Our first trip to the vineyard. Owner was beyond helpful, from tips re restaurants to things to do and see, where to rent bikes and chairs, and also helping us with the car ferry. Home was lovely for our family, clean and spacious. We can't wait to rent again.

Summer Retreat

The house lived up to its description and we were not disappointed. It had plenty of space for all of us to spread out and not be in each other's way. The view from the top deck was amazing and we enjoyed our cocktails up there in the evening. I have traveled to the Vineyard every summer for several years now and have always enjoyed running or riding my bike through the Katama bay area and staying there was such a treat.

Wonderful house, excellent location

This is a very comfortable house in an excellent location... walking distance to south beach. Air conditioners worked well, and the decks were lovely to use. We had a couple of meals outside and enjoyed them very much. We set up a volleyball net in the backyard... plenty of room. Gas grill made cookouts easy. Plenty of trash barrels and recycling barrels as well. We had one nice evening dinner with 25+ people, and the house handled it all very well. Excellent internet speeds, and TV was internet connected so there was plenty of choice. Washer/dryer worked fine. Pictures in the listing were accurate. Linens were comfortable, and not having to bring bath towels (supplied) or beach towels (10 were supplied) was great. Location is also just a half block from the bike path (along a dirt road), so perfect for those that like biking/jogging/rollerblading. There is also a kayak/canoe/etc entry point to Katama bay just around the corner, with parking. Barb is an excellent owner, helping with our every request, and alerting us when we had left a bathing suit behind (even offering to mail it to us).

Fabulous family home!

We stayed at this home with my family of six and my sister's family with kids ages 11-26! There were tons of bedrooms and great spaces to hang out. The location was fabulous - a ten minute walk to the beach or a 15 minute bike ride to town. We cooked great family dinners and played lots of games at night. Barb was a fabulous host who got back to me quickly with any questions or needs that I had. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing property!

This property was amazing. Lots of space inside with a beautiful dining area. Spacious back yard for kids to run around and just minutes from the beach. Very private as well. Would definitely come back in the future.

Excellent stay!

This property has the perfect location, it is within a short walk to the South Beach, and a 15-minute bike ride to Edgartown, we also really enjoy the amazing sunset view at the nearby Katama Farm. The host (Barbara) is very helpful in providing information about the house, the town, and really makes the trip totally worry-free. I will strongly recommend this property.

Wonderful Vineyard family vacation home!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home! Location is great, house is perfect for families and guest house with separate WiFi ideal for those needing to do work from home. Great location / easy to deal with all around

The house is great located minutes from the beach and a short bike ride/drive into Edgartown. The owners of the house were extremely responsive and easy to communicate with on all questions related to the house and the island. Highly recommend!

Hello! My name is Barb and I am the owner of our 6 bedroom, air-conditioned Katama Gem. My family has been coming to Martha's Vineyard for forty years. We started coming by yacht from New Jersey and fell in love with Edgartown Harbor, one of the most beautiful in the world! Luckily, my parents bought a house off of Edgartown Bay Road in Katama and we got off the boat! We now spend our days with the next generation of grandchildren, sailing a classic wooden dory made by my father and shopping for fresh island-grown corn and pies at Morning Glory Farm. We also play a ton of tennis, go for runs on the Katama Farm loop and spend time on nearby South Beach and Norton Point or water skiing in Katama Bay. In the evenings, we have cocktails on the upper deck or play corn hole on the lower deck and have large family dinners. Did I mention the pie from Morning Glory? When we are not soaking in all the Vineyard has to offer, we are in the Boston area raising three college-age boys. My parents and siblings are in New Jersey still and active in the house and the Vineyard community. If you have never been to the Vineyard before, I know you’ll love this amazing place!
