Absolutely wonderful stay. The cabin is just so warm, comfortable and cozy and inviting. The owners have done an excellent job ensuring their vacationers have everything they need for a great stay. This was the best appointed vacation rental I have experienced. Hope to make this an annual "senior girls" trip to Blue Ridge and we will definitely stay at Whitetail again.

The cabin was beautifully decorated, well organized, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for our trip. The customer service before and after our stay was wonderful. The location provided challenging hikes for us, and we loved the chapel, lake, and wildlife. We would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Blue Ridge and plan to return again. It was the perfect place for our lil getaway!

Great cabin on top of mountain

Little get away for my wife and I. We spent a week at this beautiful cabin. Nice hiking trail right by the property. No complaints. Would stay here again for sure.

Beautiful Cabin and Wonderful Host

My husband and I stayed for our 37th wedding anniversary. The owners attention to detail in the decor of the cabin was so evident and beautiful. The cabin was stocked with everything to make it your home away from home. Although it rained every day but one, the covered back porch with mountain views, rocking chairs and eating area were more than perfect. Blue Ridge is very close as well as several other small towns to visit. Great communication by owners and managers.

Peaceful & Perfect Stay

Our stay at Whitetail Retreat was absolutely wonderful! We arrived with an easy check-in process and were impressed with how clean and well-organized everything was. The cabin was better than expected and felt very homey. Our host was friendly and easy to communicate with—she checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and gave us many recs before we arrived for things to do in Blue Ridge area. The highlight of our stay was definitely the back deck—it was breathtaking and we spent most of our time there! Beautiful wildlife and the cabin felt private but still surrounded by the well-maintained community. We also loved how comfortable the beds were. Such a cozy cabin and the perfect size for our little family. We highly recommend it and would love to return!

Cozy Cabin

View from the cabin porch is to die for. The listing doesn’t do the property justice. We had the best stay. Secluded and quiet. The cabin itself was clean and quaint. Only recommendation is to replace the pillows - they’re pretty flat. Luckily we had brought our own. We had an amazing stay.

Best Friends Reunion

Two old friends finally connect! The immaculate and beautifully appointed Whitetail Retreat served us well. Fresh flowers, a bottle of wine, and a personal note welcomed us upon arrival. We each had our own bedroom and bath, and found the living room and porch/deck to be perfect for us to just sit and chat for hours. Getting there on the steep single lane road was a bit unnerving, but I felt comfortable after our first day venturing out. My friend was more wary and did not drive until we left. Still, take the owner’s advice and arrive by dark. Proximity to Blue Ridge was perfect-about 10 minutes. Both of us agreed we would like to come back with our husbands, and will recommend this cabin to others. Thank you for a perfect getaway.

Highly recommended this lovely home!

This property and company was exceptional! The property was updated, decorated tastefully, well maintained and clean. The home has everything you could imagine needing, the entire house was very clean and tastefully decorated. Outstanding service to customers, host was super attentive and exceeded our expectations.The cabin was very clean and well stocked with anything we needed . The kitchen has all of the utensils and appliances -new and great quality .They provided complimentary bottle of wine and there were so many others thoughtful details. The host reached out to check in multiple times to ensure our stay was going as smoothly as possible. Thank you for a great stay!

Restful Stay

Very clean property. Although there are several other homes/rentals up to and around the property you don’t see many of them because of the trees and how the rentals are placed on the mountain...and you don't hear them at all. The drive up the mountain is very doable but gets very narrow in a few places. It was no problem for us. I would definitely recommend this property.

We think it would have been nice

We only got one night there as they lost water. My wife’s medical condition doesn’t allow for to many hours without water so after speaking with the owner it was agreed that we needed to leave.the water did come back around 6 or so hours later ( the owner texted my wife to let her know leaving under the circumstances was the right thing to do. What little time we did spend there was very pleasant

Last minute getaway

The trip was a last minute decision I actually booked this cabin at a rest stop and it was the best decision I’ve ever made on a cabin . So if you’re reading this believe me when I say this cabin was amazing. It was a perfect getaway for my husband’s parents and me and my husband. Would definitely stay here again

Comfortable and Cozy Cabin

My husband and I stayed at Whitetail Retreat for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year's and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The cabin is located conveniently to Blue Ridge where we enjoyed dining at a few favorite spots. We did opt to cook in the first night until we felt comfortable with getting back in the dark. Turning left after the railroad crossing proved to be much easier for us. The GPS took us to the right on our first drive in and we much preferred the left easier route. The cabin is wonderfully equipped and we got to see a deer as well as snow flurries during our stay!
