"The Woods" Container | Pickleball | Rooftop Patio

Summary:
The Mainsail is a tiny container home handcrafted by CargoHomeℱ right here in Waco. With 1 bedroom and an inflatable floor mattress, it sleeps uptimes to 4 people. Features a super comfy Tuft and Needle queen mattress. The rooftop deck lights up beautifully at night and is a great place to stargaze or enjoy a morning coffee. Full size, custom-tiled shower and spacious bathroom completes this beautiful home. Just a short 12 minutes to Magnolia and Baylor.

The Space:
This unique home started as a 40' shipping container. Our build company, CargoHome, insulates and panels the interior in pine shiplap and trim it out in 100+ year-old barn wood. The outside is clad with cedar siding, spaced to allow the original container to still be seen. The fun rooftop deck is surrounded by a custom cable railing system and lit with LED lights that gives the deck a beautiful glow at night. LED lights inside and a super-quiet, efficient mini-split AC unit makes this a comfortable, energy efficient space.

The Neighborhood:
Great, safe neighborhood in the country just north of Waco. 5 minutes from I-35 and 2 minutes from Homestead Cafe and Craft Village. Only 8 minute from the Waco airport.

Getting Around:
You can park right at the house and Uber is available.

Interaction with Guests:
We live right around the corner so are available for anything you need including any questions on the house or your time in Waco.

Nice Getaway from the City

The area is so serene, you can see a lot of stars at night. The area is secluded but accessible to a lot of dining, walking and tourist areas. Definitely worth your visit!

Tiny home experience

We chose this listing for our Waco trip because the tiny home concept was intriguing. It was a comfortable stay. The location was a good location to experience the Magnolia fun. We fully recommend.

Unique Experience You Won’t Want To Miss

If you’re looking for a unique stay in an adorable place-this is it. From the shiplap walls & ceilings, decor, and every detail you can imagine. So much fun!!! The rooftop deck with lights with the sunset was pretty neat too. Clean, cozy, comfortable, and everything the pictures show is there. Centrally located to downtown and across the street from The Heritage Homestead. Will stay again!!!

Cute Tiny House

Love the layout and decor of this tiny house. We enjoyed sitting on the roof to watch the sunset. The house wasn’t cleaned when we arrived and delayed our check-in by almost 2 hours. We were offered a late check out but already had plans for the next day. The cleaning may have been rushed because I think it could have been cleaner. It needs a deep clean as well as some maintenance work to the broken floor boards in the restroom and front doorway.

Convenient location to everything you want to do in Waco. The concept of the Tiny House Cargo Container is such a unique experience. The property and surrounding area was safe and friendly. This was an impromptu getaway for our Anniversary!! Great hideaway in a country setting. Extremely clean and well stocked with all the amenities needed. Loved our short stay and will definitely book another stay here!

Great Getaway

Beautiful place to stay. The scenery outside the home was amazing with houses and trees. The inside looks JUST LIKE the pictures. We especially loved the little clear square instructions on the walls, the chocolate by the bed, and the black tea kettle. AND! The brita water filter was so clutch! It really made our day. Really EVERYTHING was amazing. We definitely will be coming back. We fell in love with Waco in less than 24 hours.

Amazing stay

Photos are exactly what you get! Super cute and unique. It’s in a perfect location. Within walking distance of Homestead Cafe which is the best place to eat. I will say that some of the containers are close together and then some have distance between them. There was some road noise but honestly it didn’t bother us at all. We sleep with a fan for noise so we didn’t hear it at night anyway. It’s very clean and comfortable. These are small! I wouldn’t do more than 2 or it would be too crowded in my opinion. It was perfect for a couples getaway!

Fantastic Container Home!

The interior and exterior was just like the listing--adorable! It was my first time staying in a container home, and I loved it. Definitely enough space for a couple. The bed was comfortable, living area was cozy, and kitchen had what you'd need (I didn't cook but did use the coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge). Communication was fantastic, and signs within the unit were helpful. It is easy walking distance to Homestead Craft Village and an easy drive to the Silos, Cameron Park, etc. There are other container homes nearby but everyone was quiet. A bit of road noise during the day but not bad indoors, and no problems at night. Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful & peaceful

The Woods cargohomes are clean and decorated beautifully. Such an efficient use of space! This was the perfect place for my husband & I to take a quiet break. The views from the rooftop were amazing and the bed was very comfortable. This little place has everything you need for a relaxing stay!

Modern, cool, tiny "Homestead"

The BEST set of tiny container home rentals anywhere - I bet! Also, if you want to spend a weekend at Homestead Heritage, Kenneth's properties are the absolute Best way to go. My only disappointment was the constant rain :( So I didn't get to enjoy the awesome rooftop patio.
