Lindley’s Little Gem-a cozy cottage close to the Silos

Wonderful Waco 1930's cottage completely restored just blocks from The Silos and Baylor. The location is ideal for Baylor games and events or visiting the Silos and all Waco has to offer. The cottage is comfortably furnished with antiques, a spa-like bath with a deep copper Japanese soaking tub, and Kitchen-Aid and Nespresso appliances. This home is adorable, functional, and homey. City of Waco license number STR000799-09-2021.

We did not stay at the cottage. When we arrived, it was only partially clean and the bed was unmade from the previous guest. There were no towels in the bathroom and the kitchen counter was dirty. The host was kind enough to cancel our reservation when we contacted her. It did take a phone call and text message to get in touch and then we waited over 30 minutes for a response.

This is a cozy little cottage with everything we needed. It is close to the Silos, Magnolia, Dr. Pepper Museum and other sights. Our only recommendation- if you go when it's cold, bring a space heater. The host provides one but it doesn't warm the whole house. She was very responsive when we asked about it. We enjoyed our stay and the convenience of getting around easily.

Clean place - bed is too soft, almost like I was sitting in it. The shower water wasn’t reliable. It was hot, then cold, and there was no pattern to it.

Didn’t use laundry. Lots of shopping. Charming, my 3rd stay. Enjoyed the wild chickens. All perfect.

Tiny, but good use of space.Reading light in living room would be nice.Daybed could use a mattress topper.TV service and availability very sketchy....no local channels...or if they were available, instructions on how to get normal cable TV stations. Husband went all weekend with NO FOOTBALL!!!Sketchy neighborhood and too close to bust freeway.BUT....overall nice place and very close to Baylor.

Close to Baylor, very short drive. Easy to locate after dark. Lock box is about knee level, so you do have to squat to access the keys. No worries about security in, and around, the home. Quiet neighborhood. Note: Toilet paper was single ply. Was surprised that with how cute, warm and welcoming the house was that the toilet paper would be subpar. That was my only negative.

Very cute place to stay. Very short drive to the silos. Neighborhood is old and ran down. At first, I didnt like it but no one bothered us. Bathroom is huge! The fan in the bedroom was a huge bonus. Looking to get one myself. I would stay again while traveling.

It was extremely quiet, and it was very near good eating places and near our event. There wasn't soap or shampoo in bathroom but luckily, we always carry some and there wasn't real coffee. If we'd known this, we would have taken some. Otherwise, it was quaint and well thought out.

Cute but needs some work

Property is cute and was clean. Many negatives I feel I must list, unfortunately.Major thing was AC units are extremely obnoxious. I read a review prior that said they were loud, and I thought no big deal, I like white noise when I sleep
. Absolutely not. This was a loud mechanical noise coming from both units. Don’t stay here if you are a light sleeper or need silence when you sleep.Other things to note
. Beds are very, very uncomfortable and scratchy cheap sheets. Nespresso machine but no coffee pods supplied to make it. Plugs in part of bedroom not working, so not able to use the TV or fan in there. Nice and big bathroom but no shower supplies such as body wash/ soap. Also hot water went out quickly. This could have easily been a 4/5 star experience, but needs time to fix these issues.

Beautiful place in need of some updates

The place was adorably decorated, and it was close to Baylor which we needed. It was not in the best neighborhood. The master bedroom mattress needs replaced as it was sagging and not comfortable. The espresso machine did not work, and we called the shower a sprinkle, because while it was beautiful, it lacked water pressure.

Had a mother/daughter date to Magnolia Farm and such a perfect place to stay that was nearby. Just right for the 2 of us.

Waco visit

It worked for a place to stay, but needs improvement on climate control and front door screen replaced. The climate control debices are very noisey and makes sleep difficult. Otherwise inside done nicely but too crammed with furniture

This little cottage was a great place to stay. Close to everything we had planned. Very quaint house with lots of thoughtful touches. Would stay again.

The heating system is not very efficient. The one in the bedroom goes on and off. This wasn’t good with the cold weather we had. We had no hot water the morning we left, so no showers!! We had an important meeting on our way to San Antonio and we were uncomfortable having not showered!
