Host was out of town, said they called and left a message on check in, I never got it. was delayed checking in after having to wait 2 hours in a parking lot after check in time. Evolve the third party you had to go through for check in (Not VRBO) wasn't helpful in trying to get us into property. They had no way to give us the door code. No where in the listing does it say that there isn't a TV or a radio. Would have been nice to know ahead of time so we could bring books, games. overall, the place was very clean and nice. After traveling in the car for over 4 hours, last thing we wanted or needed was to be delayed another 2 hours to check in.

Family gathering around graduation

Our daughter's graduation ceremony was at Goshen College for her masters from Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center. Since all the family was there, we had a family gathering, including a formal discussion of end-of-life matters. It was a good setting for that.

Wonderful and comfortable home in a beautiful setting. Close to Elkhart & S Bend but seems like a world away. I enjoyed waking up to birds singing and the fresh country air. Would stay again.

Great Christmas Get-Away

We were in town visiting family for Christmas. The location was perfect - only a few miles from them and the house was so roomy. Lots of room, plenty of towels and the farm fresh eggs were a real treat. I LOVED that each light switch had a label on it so we knew exactly which lights to use. The beds were very comfortable. The WIFI worked perfectly although the password listed had an upper-case letter when it was actually lower case to work. There was no TV in the house, but we brought our own, hooked it to the ROkU and and indoor antenna we brought which worked great. We will definitely stay here again when we visit. We originally booked it because we were planning to bring our dog, but we ended up leaving him home with a sitter. I love the option of bringing him along if we needed to.The only thing I would've changed would have been to have a brighter light installed in the downstairs bathroom. The bulbs were very dim. Overall - it was an excellent property and we enjoyed our stay.

Rise and Shine did shine. What a great little gem in rural Elkhart county. The place was so clean, well cared for, and well equipped. The owners go above and beyond to have the small details take care of. Would totally recommend

The property was as described . It was very clean and well stocked, we had everything we needed. The host/neighbors were helpful, responsive, and even went out of their way to give my toddler a close up look at their tractor (which made his day). The location was perfect. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return the next time we are in the area.

BEWARE! Great Home…. Terrible Management Company ( Evolve )

To start, the house is fantastic; Clean , spacious and quiet ( no internet or TV’s , which we loved! But know going in ) the huge upset with this property is the company that manages it, Evolve. After months of communication and evidence of payment, they are still withdrawing funds from my card on file, without my consent and have stopped responding to my emails. BEWARE!

Family Reunion

Loved the location, quaintness of home, simple, calm, peaceful interior. Loved not having a TV. My mom (76) was a little bummed there was no dishwasher….not a real problem for the other 3 of us. Ample linens. Loved all the hooks to hang clothes, coats and towels. Grateful for the washer/dryer and iron (dont know what got into me, I actually used it on my jeans!!!!!!!!!) Enjoyed see the horse and buggies go by! We visited Southgate Farmer’s Market right around corner from house. Loved it, so big with antiques (clean antiques!), crafts, clothing, ice cream, Mexican food counter…..very fun. Also went to Notre Dame——>absolutely gorgeous beyond more words!!!!!! Ate at Biebs & Ash: good hamburgers, but wonderful canned cocktails and gourmet fries! Only thing I spoke to the owner about was the listing price when I looked up the property is not the price I was charged at check out and my 4 day stay cost me almost as much as the Fees that I paid. Just made a recommendation for the price to be more appropriately adjusted….owner is receptive to request and she and I are working on looking at the charges to make sure it was accurate. I will say that I have learned to double check my total before I hit “Book It”. With that said, I am not regretful in ANY way for staying here and I would stay again!

Nice stay in the country

We were in town for a wedding and needed a place where the dog could stay (crated) while we were out. We really enjoyed our stay. We’re from the suburbs so it was a fun change to see horses next door! The inside was nice, especially the comfortable couches. There was a definite sulfur smell to the water; it was fine for showering but we decided to stick with bottled water for drinking.

Great Family Home

We stayed at this house while in the area for a family wedding. Fabulous home. Very clean. We had 4 adults and it was very comfortable. Host were great communicators. No internet and no TV. But it was a nice break for family time.

Great Place in the Country, No Wifi or tv so You had to talk LOL Very Nice Property just wish We would have had more time to spend relaxing there..
