Brooke's Family Trip

So beautiful. Such a nice house with the most terrific view. Sounds of the rushing creek, beautiful fire place on the covered porch. I couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing stay. Accommodations were beyond on point. I finally found my home away from home, and of course I'll be back. I'll never stay anywhere else again. A little slice of heaven!

This is an amazing property! Villa I'Abri is as advertised, clean, comfortable with incredible views. Communication with the host was easy and straightforward as was the check-in/out process. Definitely, the place to stay!

A couple of my buddies and I took a golf trip up to this cabin and it was excellent in every way! This cabin is located exactly one mile from Maggie Valley Country Club which is an excellent choice if you play. The cabin itself was very clean and has an awesome outdoor porch with a fireplace! I would recommend this place to anyone! We will definitely be returning to this cabin for future trips! Thanks for the hospitality!!!

Cozy and Tranquil

Long weekend away from life's daily grind to this, seemingly remote, cabin built into the side of the mountain...yet, within 10 minutes, back to civilization and all the conveniences of a small town. Perfect balance of peace and serenity with dining and shopping...

Cozy and stunning views

We loved our brief stay. Our kids met us and we all agreed it felt like “home”. We enjoyed the fireplace and comfy atmosphere. The property was extremely clean and tidy. All the amenities made our stay relaxing. We enjoy cooking together and played dominos. Great stay.

The cabin was clean and comfortable. The porch and fire pit is where we sat at night. Beautiful views. Only complaint is the very steep driveway and parking area.

Amazing Cabin

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. The cabin offers the most amazing views! Very nice outdoor setting with the fireplace and grill. Inside of cabin is very nicely stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The owner, Kathy, was very accommodating as our trip had to be prolonged due to automobile issues. We look forward to returning in the fall when the leaves are at peak color. Overall, one of the best cabins we have ever rented.

Anniversary Get-A-Way

It was very pleasant and relaxing and very cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed the inside fireplace and the scenery. We kept the sliding glass door opened and the kitchen window opened the entire stay. One morning, it was clear enough to see the sun rise over the mountain from the bed. Just magical!

A Great weekend

Me, my husband and sister and her boyfriend stayed in this cabin for the weekend. We had a really great time the cabin was great. Only complaint would be the very steep driveway and limited parking. Plenty of great shops and restaurants in the area. Over all we had a great time and would definitely come back. I recommend Evolve for your next trip, they are very friendly and respond instantly to what ever you need. Thanks for a Great Weekend!!! Sherri & Shawn Wendy & Mark

Hilltop serenity!

Villa l'Abri was the perfect choice for our two-week stay in Western NC! We needed a place that was modern enough to accommodate two busy people's wifi demands (so we could both work effectively the first week), but rustic enough to let us relax and enjoy our time off during the second week. At the top of a steep hill, and surrounded by multiple streams plunging downhill and providing a peaceful soundtrack to our stay, Villa l'Abri was just the ticket. Beautiful views of the mountains and sunrise, along with mist rolling through the valley below. This is a hidden gem!

Terrible Driveway & Not Elderly Friendly

My family and I stayed at this cabin for 3 days and when we first arrived, we were not prepared for the steep driveway. We came for a car show, and we were met with a gravel steep driveway. We attempted to go up but ended up getting our car stuck and eventually called a tow truck. Every other driveway was paved but this rental. As well as this, the stairs up to the cabin were very steep and since my wife and I are elders, we did not expect this and had a hard time getting up. We are very disappointed as none of this was on the original listing for the cabin. I ended up ruining my car and had a hard time just getting into the cabin.

Hi Philip, we're sorry to hear that the driveway and stairs posed challenges during your stay. After reviewing your feedback with the homeowner, they wanted to share the following details: - We take our listing accuracy seriously, and we use professional photography for the home, so the features you see on the listing are accurately advertised. The listing photos show the driveway and front steps to give guests a clear idea of the layout before booking. - For additional transparency, we send a pre-arrival email detailing the driveway’s steep, gravel surface along with a video guide for navigation. This email was sent prior to your arrival. - The property is situated at 3,500 feet, which contributes to the driveway’s slope, and many guests have successfully navigated it, including elderly visitors. Thank you for letting us know about your experience. We understand this setup may not work for everyone, and we’ll keep your feedback in mind as we continue to improve the guest experience.

Slice of Heaven on Earth

If you have ever thought about renting a property that was high atop a mountain, this is your place! The location is not for the faint of heart and not the easiest to find if using your GPS. The house is located at the very end of Old Still Rd and the driveway to the house is very steep. We did not have any problem getting our truck up the driveway but be forewarned that there is no room at the top to turn anything other than a sports car around, so you may be backing down the driveway when you leave. (I would NOT recommend this locations for anyone riding a motorcycle.) The property is well stocked with just about everything you would need. Bring all your food up in the first trip and you may never have to leave until you go home. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking utensils and appliances you would ever need and there is a Weber Grill on the deck for outdoor cooking. The deck that is located on the side of the house has plenty of comfortable seating and is a great place to have your AM coffee or PM cocktail. The waterfall and stream that flow near by have a very calming effect while looking out over the mountain side. If you play golf, Maggie Valley CC is located at the bottom of Country Club Drive and the course was in excellent condition. When you get acclimated to going up and down the mountain side, everything in Maggie Valley is easily accessible from this location. The bottom line is that this home is in a great location with beautiful views of the mountains. The location has it's challenges but is well worth some inconvenience for the seclusion and serenity that you will get from your stay here. PROS: - Beautiful views of the mountains - Quiet and very peaceful - Well Stocked - WIFI works very well from all locations of the home. - Beds are very comfortable - Waterfall and stream nearby. - Hiking trail (only for those that can climb) - Peaceful CONS: - Driveway is a challenge - Lots of Stairs - Not a place for Motorcycles

Will not book through Evolve again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and comfortable, and everything as advertised. Also the property contact, Kathy, was very helpful with questions we had. What we did not like was the booking agent, Evolve. Their additional fees were high, especially the required property damage coverage we did not request. We love Maggie Valley and visit there several times each year but we will not book a property through Evolve again.

Lovely private cabin with great covered porch!

Very clean and fully equipped cabin next to mountain stream - loved the sound of water as we enjoyed the large covered Pavillion and dinner on the deck overlooking mountains. Clean and comfortable. Nicely equipped kitchen and very responsive host. This was a cut above many places we have rented in the area. Had the extras that made our stay very enjoyable.
