We had a great stay at Walhalla. The cottage is in a fantastic position and suprisingly warm. It’s great that we could share it with our pooch too. The King parrots feeding from our yards was a treat. You need at least two full days to see the village properly. It’s worth noting that we didn’t have access to the second bedroom (locked). We made a booking for two but it is assumed you are a couple and not siblings/friends. Luckily we are a couple as we had to share a double bed .

Thanks for supporting a small business and choosing Sancreed Cottage. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay! (Re - the second bedroom being locked - in our welcome email we explain that it will be locked unless we are advised otherwise. Unfortunately we have had too many people book for 2 and then arrive with 4 people. When we are running on tank water, and need to buy water in during the warmer months another 2 guests makes a difference!)

Tranquil and comfortable

Loved the cottage. Clean, comfortable, well appointed with everything we needed. Fabulous location and really enjoyed the fresh mountain air and breakfast with the birds. Short walk down the hill into the main street.

Feeling revived

Sweet little cottage in a great location with views across the valley. Very comfortable and clean with modern amenities, but also with period features and a wood burner. The accommodation provided a restful stay in this picturesque town.

Cosy, warm and perfectly located.

We had a lovely stay at Sancreed finding it to be super warm and cosy and in a great location that provides fantastic views. All the amenities you need along with some surprise treats. Owners were great to deal with and check in easy. Perhaps a little more attention to cleaning would make the stay even more comfortable. Overall a great stay.

Excellent property, perfect location. We absolutely loved the cottage.The host Brian was so easy to deal with and very informative. The cottage is in a perfect spot to enjoy the stunning town. You could not ask for anything anymore in a property. We will definitely stay here again. Could not rate it highly enough.

Gorgeous cottage

Although the weather was atrocious, our accommodation at Sancreed Cottage more than made up for it. We had a wonderful stay and found it immaculate and well appointed, and the wood fire was lovely keeping us nice and cosy. There didn’t seem to be anything that wasn’t thought of, and the gift of a toy for Murphy the dog was a lovely touch. We will be coming back to this gorgeous cottage in such a beautiful location on the hill.

Walhalla Sancreed

We had the most wonderful experience in this unique cottage. The owners told us to book activities in advance which was such good advice. The cottage was comfortable with everything we needed there. I would recommend Sancreed to anyone. It’s also dog friendly so we were glad to take our furry friend along too.

Perfect

A perfect stay, thanks Brian and partner. The house of more beautiful than the pictures. lovingly restored from an ugly duckling shack in the most perfect position in town. Little extras like biscuits, seed to feed the parrots and chocolate provided and sparklingly clean. Our doggie was welcome and very happy here. Brian was very kind abd accommodating when Covid affected our plans. Walhalla needs its visitors back, come and stay here!

What Pandemic?

Dear Brian and Joanne I booked the sancreed cottage as an escape away from the current Pandemic. There we felt free and at peace! Thank you for the toasty warm arrival with the lamps on to greet us.
