Sleeping 8 - so we are big enough to accommodate two small families or friends staying together with doggos welcome too.

Our dutch front door, fireplace, feature tiles, limed floorboards, ceiling fans, statement lighting, board and batten, shiplap, corrugated iron and timber feature walls, exposed beams and quality appliances including our cool retro inspired SMEG fridge, all creating a magical coastal boho holiday vibe. Our home feels like a warm hug as soon as you walk in the front door.

While we are offering Anchored as a new property, we are not new to hosting and have hosted hundreds of 5 star stays throughout our 12 years hosting experience in Currarong. We have the experience and the property to match to ensure your stay is a 5 star experience and you wont want to leave.

Perfect for staycations and workcations with wifi and multiple work zones throughout. We are here to help you start a new tradition & make some lifelong memories.

The house can easily accommodate two families and has multiple living areas. We sleep 8 and all beds are made up and ready for your arrival. We include bath towels for everyone so just bring yourselves, your cozzie and beach towel!
Our bedding configuration is as follows:
Our master bedroom has a queen bed and an attached private outdoor bath and enclosed outdoor deck area.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed.
Bedroom 3 has a single bed.
Bedroom 4 has a double bed and makes an ideal secondary master bedroom.
The last single bed is located in our snug sunroom between the master bedroom and loungeroom. Although you need to walk through it to access the master suite, it is completely separate to the master. It also makes the perfect daybed and is an awesome spot to curl up with a book.

We are fully equipped with all the technology needed for everyone to enjoy their stay.
The rear yard is fully fenced and private with an outdoor dining and BBQ area as well as a freestanding games room fully decked out with a large flatscreen TV and PS3 and Wii consoles plus heaps of board games. In fact, it’s the perfect place to send the kids while you enjoy all the comforts of the cottage to yourselves.

The cottage has been very recently fully renovated as this has been our family home for the past two years. Lots of love and thought has gone into making it wonderful :). Every room is BRAND NEW including the light and airy kitchen (with SMEG appliances), bespoke and hand crafted bathrooms and all four unique bedrooms.

We sleep 8 with multiple living, entertaining and relaxation areas, indoor and out. In addition to the main bathroom, there is also an additional hot water outdoor shower located off the front deck which is perfect for washing off sand after the beach. Because it’s completely enclosed and private, it’s also perfect for using as the second shower if needed for a large group. Our master bedroom also has it's own unique private freestanding bath and sitting area making it a true parents retreat. Perfect for that holiday vibe!

The cottage is centrally located across from the creek with a short walk to the beach, rockpool, walking trails, our shop (Zac's) and the bowling club.

Before our renovations, Anchored Currarong was a very successful holiday home known as Kite Tails and Sand Pails. In our former life, we have had many returning regular guests and hope to add you to our list who now call Anchored Currarong as their holiday home away from home.

We have spent the past two years living in Anchored Currarong full time while we renovated (with capturing that relaxed holiday vibe firmly in the front of our mind) and we have opened our doors to share her with the world. We have been hosting for over 13 years in Currarong with multiple properties and are locals. We are happy to share our knowledge and help you plan the perfect holiday (or special occasion) complete with many wonderful memories made in our special space.

Please note that there is a fenced off section next door to the cottage which leads to a studio behind the backyard of the cottage. The studio in the back has its own yard and is completely fenced off to the cottage. The studio has one parking spot on the grass beside the cottage and in front of the access passage. Please do not park there when staying and also note that the cottage has two parking spaces in the driveway. There is plenty of additional street parking if needed. Both properties are completely separate to each other but are on the same title so its something we would like you to know :)
