Heaven on Earth!

I had a great stay here during my California trip! The host was friendly and readily available. I had plenty of privacy and felt safe staying here. The outdoor patio area is amazing! Thank you for your hospitality!

A little piece of heaven

This place was incredible. Gorgeous. Private pool and hot tub. Dog friendly. The owners were amazing. I cannot wait to go back. We did not want to leave. It was seriously the best place we have been to and we travel quit a bit. Cannot recommend this oasis enough.

Beautiful property, the rental was lovely. Family enjoyed the hot tub after a day of rafting. Only negative we found was the water slide attached to the pool. My sister & daughter both received scratches from the tile.

A beautiful property situated on peaceful grounds in a rural area that has many good restaurants, bars, and breweries within close driving distance. There's even a good sized casino just minutes away. The rental itself is large, clean, comfortable , and has a full kitchen well stocked with all of the pots, appliances, utensils and seasoning you could probably need. The pool and outdoor spa tub are fantastic and yours to enjoy all to yourself. The owners were at hand while we were there and they were such nice people. We really enjoyed our three days here and miss it already. Mahalo!

A hidden little gem!

My husband and I just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary at a hidden little gem/piece of heaven. Who would have thought that Shingle Springs would offer a romantic getaway so close to home. Our hosts met us when we got there and explained how everything worked and made us feel very welcome. The pool and hot tub were amazing. There's even a slide into the pool. We played cards at the nice table on the patio, layed out and floated in the pool. It was so relaxing and much needed. We invited our hosts up for a cocktail and they surprised us by giving us a nice bottle of red wine and appetizers for our anniversary. We had a very nice visit with them and their dog Repo. It was so comfortable it felt like we had known them for a long time. You really wouldn't know they're on the property because we didn't see them again until we were leaving. The studio was spotless and well organized and even had a little basket of snacks and chocolates on our pillows. Toiletries in the bathroom and even offer slippers for when you get out of the hot tub or shower. You can tell a lot of thought, heart and soul went into the planning of this retreat. We never even turned on the TV. We just unplugged from the routine of daily life and spent quality time together. I believe it was our best anniversary so far. We will definitely go back, but we won't wait until our next anniversary. I will be recommending this place to everyone I know. The only downfall or complaint we had was that we couldn't stay longer. Thank you so much to our amazing and very thoughtful hosts.

This property is great. The pictures and description are accurate. Very relaxing atmosphere and accommodating. Though the host live on the property you will have plenty of privacy. Conveniently located to all the attractions that are in the area. Wine tasting,apple hill,hiking,great breakfast,downtown placerville. I definitely recomend this home away from home.

Paradise in the Counrty

This “studio” is luxurious and roomy. It’s lined with windows that bring the outside in. It is literally paradise in the country. It is filled with all the amenities you would expect at a luxury resort. The pool and slide are gorgeous, close to all things needed from a city but still feels like the country. Wineries, rivers, Gold Rush, etc. The owners live onsite but are separate and help whenever needed. Went for a birthday weekend with 4 Ladies and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience!

Fantastic getaway

Me and my family plus the dog spent three nights at this property. We cannot say enough good things about our stay. The property host ‘Joe’ was very attentive and courteous. The place was clean and welcoming. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed the pool slide. Quiet, private and relaxing. Restaurants and shopping approx 10 minutes away. We will return.

Joe was such a gracious and easy-going host. He was available for any questions we had and very inviting. It was private, even though the owners live on-site. The pool and the hot tub were bonus perks for us - but the home itself delivered everything it promised and more! Everything you need for your home away from home was at the property. They even left our fur babies a welcome package! Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Thanks so much for the hospitality and allowing us to be a part of your beautiful home.

Beautiful place for a staycation

This was an absolutely perfect staycation. The property is just as pictured and the hosts are kind and accommodating. One thing to note is that the hosts live on the property, so if you are looking for complete isolation and privacy, be sure to let them know in advance and I am sure they will let you know if the unit is a good fit for your needs. We didn’t mind them being there and were extremely helpful. An added bonus was the water slide built in the hill. The house is stunning and stocked with extras. Highly recommend!

This property is an oasis of peace. My husband and I loved our time here. The owners have put great thought and intention into creating a warm, welcoming getaway haven. The studio was in the top floor of a split-level home, nestled in the hillside, with with a separate driveway and private entrance to the studio. The room was extremely spacious, with lots of windows for an airy feel. The bed was sooo comfortable (with extra blankets and pillows to ensure a comfy slumber). Miicrowave, 2 burner cooking surface, mini-refrigerator, icemaker - so you CAN cook if you wish, but there are several really good restaurants within a 10-15 min drive! Towels and linens are high quality, and a basket of those often-forgotten toiletry items sits on the bathroom counter to save the day. The homeowners live on the property but they are respectful of guests' privacy, They were so gracious and helpful when we needed to have an important forgotten-at-home item shipped to us at the property. We enjoyed our time here enough that we extended our stay an extra day! We are looking forward to our next visit!

Peaceful Oasis

Whether you want to rejuvenate or just relax after a day of wine tasting, visiting friends or sightseeing, this is the absolute perfect place. Coming from the East Coast, I enjoyed entertaining my daughter and her family around the pool in the afternoon, taking in a little gambling at the casino just down the road and spending quiet mornings with a cup of coffee and wild turkeys that cruise through the place! The studio has everything needed to make me feel at home (I love the ice machine!) and the friendly owners were available via text any time if there was anything else I needed or I had any questions.

Peaceful and Perfect

What a wonderful time to relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of the pool! My grandson came to visit and loved swimming with us. Clean with everything needed to relax and enjoy. We even took a short trip to the casino one night. Our hosts were great.

This was a perfect studio for our trip to celebrate my son's 10th birthday. My 2 boys immediately rated it a 5 starts when they saw the beautiful pool and the pool slide. And they were right; we had a blast. We spent the days fishing at the American river, 20 minutes away, and then would enjoy the late afternoons playing in the pool. The studio was bright and spotless, and very tastefully decorated. The hosts live in the main house and they are very gracious and helpful. They also gave us our space and the way the studio is laid out, allows for privacy, and the pool is really to yourself. There is no freezer but they provide an ice maker machine that was useful. Toaster oven, microwave, fridge and all other kitchen essentials are provided. Internet service was strong and I was able to get some work done. We had a great stay and plan to rent again when we come back to the area!

Couldn't have been better! Had everything we needed for our family of four, beautiful home, thoughtful accommodations (i.e. water filter pitcher, snacks, shampoo and conditioner, etc etc) Can't wait to come back.
