Clean room, lovely view, a bit cold inside this time of the year but the fire and heater helped. Owner is easy to reach when needed.

Wonderful property. We had pretty bad weather on our visit but the views and the cosy fire made the stay very enjoyable. Communication and details were really great. Highly recommend this property as a fabulous place to stay near the National Park where we enjoyed a fabulous hike. The pizza recommendation up the road was awesome as well.

Great cottage with a spectacular view!

Andrei’s house had everything we needed and more! We ate all our meals on the patio overlooking the beautiful lake and mountains. We slept so well as the area is very quiet. Thank you for the perfect stay!

Perfect location for the Tongariro Alpine Crossing

What better way to cap off a long hike than with a refreshing swim from your perfectly located Bach. The place just felt like home and was so well equipped. We hope to be back.

Gorgeous and relaxing

We loved our stay in Omori. Andrew was responsive and helpful. The expansive view of Lake Taupō was wonderful both inside and outside on the deck. We are just sorry we couldn’t stay longer!

Lake Taupo view in Omori

Beautiful location and view of lake. Very peaceful. Well stocked kitchen and comfortable furnishings. Be sure to arrive with provisions as the store is about 20 to 30 min back.

Lovely stay at Obo House

My partner and I recently stayed at Obo House and it was an amazing weekend. We have spoken and we hope our trip to Obo House becomes a regular occurrence. Its relaxed and secluded and we enjoyed being able to look out across the lake and spend our time reading and relaxing and venturing down to the Hanging Rock Café. Really enjoyed our time and can not recommend Obo House enough already planning our return trip.

Exceeding expectations, a blissful stay

This bach is an absolute gem! We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was even better than the photos. The view from the deck was amazing, the perfect spot for a coffee in the morning sun. The space itself was just the right size, and the layout had a great flow to it, making our stay super comfortable. We had an amazing time, every thoughtful touch added to the charm, making our stay so special.

Tidy, I liked this place. Cotton linens on the bed and a good mattress are important to me. I also appreciated the washing machine in the bathroom as it rained the two days we stayed. Nice electric heater in the living room kept the whole place warm.

A mid winter stay

With rain all around us, and hardly a drop falling in Omori. We enjoyed the isolation and had the fire cranking at night. The place was very cozy and we enjoyed wine in front of the fire and a mid winter quick dip in the lake. We are keen to come back and would recommend this place to others Thanks team

Stunning views, lovely property

An excellent stay at a sensible price. Looks right over the lake, 3 minute walk down to the shore. Beautiful place to sit and contemplate. Water is calm, we went kayaking on the lake and it was bliss. Area is quiet, the birds in the trees were marvellous to listen to. Rooms inside are spacious, well kitted out with furniture. Would absolutely stay here again.

The apartment wasn't particularly clean & almost everything inside was tired. Balcony outside furniture had a broken table another table had peeling paint. Inside, it had a musty smell throughout, with old clutter stuffed into wardrobes. Almost all furniture & appliances appeared to be at end of their useful life. Bathroom was dreadful. Gloomy, shower didn't work properly & just unpleasant. Didn't want to spend any time in there. Stayed in many locations across nz & this is easily the worst. Just cannot believe this place has so many outstanding reviews.

Beyond our wildest expectations!!!

This property was beyond amazing !!!! When we walked into this graciously apportioned property, the incredible view from the back porch took our breath away. Comfy beds, plenty on room, a great kitchen and did I mention the VIEW !!!! We have been in NZ for almost 2 months on both islands; this has got to be the nicest property we have stayed at yet. And the hosts are just as great as the view. A property like this in the US would cost 4 or 5 times as much, but the chances of ever getting a booking would be almost zero - that’s how great this bach is. Our only regret is not having a few more days (weeks?) to stay here. This place sets the standard for all the others to catch .

Long weekend of wild weather

Booked for 3 nights and sadly only stayed about 12 hours from arrival. Flood events back in Auckland forced a return home after first night. I am sure that this place would be lovely if the sun was out and not pressured by emergencies elsewhere! Didn't really get to see it on this visit.
