Dulany 302 by Mountain Vacation Lodging is a large and nicely updated condo with a location that is hard to beat. Simply put, this is one of the very best locations in the Steamboat Springs area! The property is right in the heart of the ski area base, surrounded by everything you could want in a mountain resort vacation home. This condo also offers two master suites with large beds and private bathrooms, each ideal for a couple. Noteworthy onsite amenities include 2 large hot tubs and a firepit. With quality finishes, mountain views, great amenities, good size, this condo is a great choice for your visit. Please read on for more details.
The Property: This condo is larger than your average 2 bedroom. When you enter, there is a mud room with a coat closet, storage cubbies, and a bench so you can sit down to remove those ski boots. Head left and you'll find the that the living room, dining room, and kitchen are combined into one large space. The living room has a comfy leather furniture set that will seat your whole group. Tongue and Groove wood ceilings, plush carpeting, upscale tables & lamps combine with the warm gas fireplace, the large HDTV, and windows framing mountain views to create a really nice space. The living room also has a sliding door to the large covered balcony. The dining area has a big table that will seat 6 with room to spare. There's also a buffet table for family style meal service or pantry storage. The kitchen is fully equipped, and then some. Don't be surprised to find some spices, oils, condiments, or other essentials. It features granite tiles and recently upgraded appliances, and everything you need to whip up some delicious meals.
Head back past the entry and in-unit laundry and you'll find the two bedrooms. Both of them are master suites with large beds, private bathrooms and TVs. The first bedroom is really big. It includes a King size bed with matching furniture that includes a dresser as well as a chest, with room to spare for an armchair too. This bedroom also has a sliding glass door that provides direct access to the balcony. The bathroom within this bedroom has a vanity with a beautiful, long granite slab counter, undermounted sink, and custom river pebble backsplash. There's plenty of space for two people's things. A pocket door allows for privacy in the rest of the bathroom, which features a glass enclosed walk in shower. The shower head is nice and high, and the river pebble theme from the vanity is extended to the shower floor. The second bedroom is not quite so huge, but it is still a good size. The Queen bed is plush and has built in shelves for a glass of water and dual wall mounted lights for reading in bed. The bathroom within this second bedroom also features a granite vanity with undermounted sink and river pebble backsplash. Also like the first bathroom, the other half of the bathroom is private from the vanity area, but it is a little larger than the first bathroom. It has a shower / bathtub combo with a built in shelf at the end of the tub.
The Location's biggest benefit: Ski In Ski Out: The term "ski in ski out" varies a lot. So we want to be clear: To Ski Out, you'll actually just walk right to the Gondola or the Christie Peak Express, since they're very slightly uphill from the condo. But the walk is only 100 yards, and you're on a heated pathway, so the walking is very easy. Bonus! The Ski School is only 50 yards away, so close! Beginners or kids in ski school can come home to this condo very easily when they're done with lessons, or if they're having a bad day. When it's time to come home, to Ski In, you really can ski right back to the building. Conditions permitting, of course. The last 50 yards or so are not on a groomed trail, with no snowmaking, so in early or late season, you might walk that last 50 yards to your door. You'd walk a lot farther if you were going up and down the halls of One Steamboat Place or the Sheraton, and you'd pay a lot more too! Once you've skied back to the building, just pop your skis or boards onto the ski valet rack. This ski in ski out access is so easy, you'll definitely be able to come home for lunch, which can save a lot of money. But you might also stop back at the condo to add or shed a layer of clothing, to change goggles, mittens, or maybe just to hydrate or take a break. This location makes your ski vacation what it should be - easy and fun!
The Location's other benefits: This condo is surrounded by everything you could want or need. Right across the street, you'll find a grocery and liquor store, a coffee and breakfast place, two options for lunch or dinner, and a ski and snowboard rental shop where we have a nice discount pre-negotiated for you. This condo is also adjacent to Gondola Square. You don't even have to cross the street. Just walk along the promenade, which wraps all the way around the ski area base. It is heated to be free of snow for easy walking or strolling. You'll find ski rental shops, ski tuning shops, clothing and apparel shops, restaurants, bars, the ticket office, the ski school, the mountain coaster, ice skating, free concerts, and more. That's just in ski season! During spring, summer, or fall, there's so much more. Ski trails turn into grassy meadows, hiking and biking trails. The snow melts and Burgess Creek appears. It flows through the base area and right past the condo. The flows through the base area are at a controlled volume, so the water level is always perfect for dipping your toes. Along the creek, are lots of Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and even a couple of beach areas. Kids will have a blast! The mountain coaster is open in winter and summer, but in summer, you also have lots of other fun family activities, such as mini-golf, a ropes course, tubing, and more. There are art shows, events and festivals, movie nights, free concerts, it's a great place to be! Also, right across the street, you'll find the Burgess Creek trail and the Mt. Werner trail, which are paved path that leads down to Casey's Pond, the Yampa River and the Yampa River Core Trail. From here, you could walk, jog, stroll, or fish your way right into downtown Steamboat, 3 miles away.
Arrival, Access, and Parking: Once you book, we're here to support you. We offer professional concierge services, provide you with arrival instructions and answers to any specific questions you might have. The building has an elevator, so access to this condo is possible without use of the stairs. That said, from the parking area, it's just one and a half flights up. No problem right? Parking is free, reserved for owners and guests of the building, and unassigned, so park anywhere in the lot. Just make sure you display the provided parking permit(s) - this location is so good, others would park here to go ski if they could get away with it! Trailers are not allowed, per HOA guidelines, but if you plan to bring one, there are options for parking them nearby. Contact us for details.

With true ski-in access (conditions permitting), a short and easy walk to the gondola, and dining, rentals, and shops just steps away, the convenience of this location is a major highlight.
The home features two large master suites, comfortable living spaces, and quality finishes throughout, making it a great fit for couples or small groups seeking both comfort and accessibility.
For clarity, our cancellation policy and booking terms are outlined prior to booking. In this case, the guest did request to cancel prior to arrival, but the reservation fell within the agreed-upon cancellation window, and no concerns regarding the home itself were reported during the stay. We always encourage guests to review these details carefully and consider travel insurance for added flexibility.
Overall, this is a well-located, high-quality condo that consistently meets expectations for guests looking for a convenient and enjoyable Steamboat experience.

Great location and accommodations!
The condo was perfect for us. It had a lodge vibe and all the amenities you’d expect in your own home. The location was perfect as we did not rent a car. Access to the gondola (3 minute walk), grocery store, restaurants and bars all convenient. Easy Uber pick up and drop off for going into town. Two large hot tubs were great and other guests fun to chat with as well. We will book this property again next year if available!

Overall loved the location. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen had what we needed. The lighting in the place made it quite dark and dim and the place is a little older so there are lots of odd noises in the place and building to be aware.

Great lodging with premium access and relaxing accommodations
Convenience, comfort, and location. The location is great with a VERY short walk to the lifts and we were able to ski back to the condo. Convenient ski storage at ground level; shopping, ski shops, and restaurants within a block or two walk. We took advantage of the hot tubs a couple of times and then retired to the living room and its fireplace for a beer and a nap. The kitchen was well equipped and for the nights we made dinner ourselves. Would love to stay here when we come back to Steamboat.

The property was excellent with easy access to the bus for our brewery tour. We had a quick bike ride out of town for 65 miles of gravel adventure, we enjoyed the rodeo and bbq that happens every Friday/Saturday night in Steamboat, and the weather was fabulous.

Beautiful and relaxing
The scenery out all the windows was absolutely gorgeous with the Aspen trees golden yellow showing their fall colors. The kitchen was equipped with every utensil needed for making full meals, which we did. The beds are very comfortable and each bedroom had own bath.

A great week in the Boat
Had a great week in Steamboat with the family. The condo was central to everything, an easy 5 min walk to the gondola and local restaurants. The local free Steamboat bus stops right out front and makes trips into town really easy. The condo was perfect and exactly as advertised. Also, the condo hot tub was awesome. The property was as advertised. We had a great stay. Close to the slopes, convenient parking. The property was clean and well stocked with basic amenities. The only issue, also noted in other reviews, is the lack of lighting in the main bedroom. Wish the lamps had brighter bulbs. We had to use phone flashlight to access and see the contents of drawers.

Loved our stay at Dulany 302!
This location can't be beat! It was so nice to be right there by the Gondola. I also didn't realized how close the hot tubs would be to our unit-just down a few stairs. The hot tub area is beautiful, surrounded with trees lit up with Christmas lights, it was a dream. This unit was the perfect setup for two couples since it had two suites. We would love to stay here again in the future.

Wonderful Experience
We were very pleased with our stay. Condo 302 at Dulaney Condos was in a great location, had a beautiful veiw, was exactly as described, and had so many extra things we didn't expect. Lots of board games, cooking utensils, pots, etc to cook anything you have in mind, and a stocked pantry with seasonings, olive oils, and so many other staple items. The let out couch was even super comfy.

This is a 2 bedroom condo in a very well located building: ski-in / ski-out and close to shops, restaurants and activities. There is also access to 2 outside hot tubs . The condo is comfortable but a bit outdated. The property managers are effective and respond quickly.

Wonderful getaway!
We absolutely loved our stay! The condo was clean, well stocked, and comfortable. The location is the best! We could easily walk to anywhere on the mountain we needed to be. 2 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops at the resort. Easy access to walking and biking paths. The hot tub and pool were such an added bonus! Refreshing during the day and a nice warm up before bed. We decided before we checked out this needs to an annual trip for us! Wonderful rental and great communication all top notch!

Great Location - close to Gondola!
Updated with a well supplied kitchen. Views great . Easy access to hot tub. Parking adjacent to building. Elevator broken during our stay so the 3rd (2nd level) was walkable after a day of skiing. No ski storage lockers as indicated by the website. Had to pay for ski storage at the base of the mountain. ($65.00 per person for a weeks storage.) Had not planned on the added cost but chose to honor the no skies in the condos request. Thank you for letting us use your condo will look forward to another visit in the future.

There are no ski lockers at this property, but there is a ski storage area where guests are welcome to store their skis and avoid paying any kind of fees. The ski storage at the property is just as close as any of the paid storage options, so it's just as (or more) convenient.
The elevator has been repaired.

Perfect Ski Getaway with Convenient Amenities
Our stay at this VRBO exceeded all expectations for a perfect ski vacation. Situated remarkably close to the ski lifts, convenience was our main goal when booking and it delivered!
The condo and rooms were quite spaciousness providing ample room for our family to relax. The management company proved to be incredibly accommodating and easy to work with, ensuring a seamless booking process and a comfortable stay throughout.
The well-stocked kitchen and plentiful towels added to the overall convenience and comfort of our stay. The kitchen had all sorts of pots/pans and trays. We made stuffed french toast on our rest day and easy bake cookies for apres ski one day.
I think perhaps the greatest standout feature for us (above all condos we’ve ever stayed in) was the inclusion of extension cords and power strips strategically placed around the condo, a testament to the owner's attention to detail. This thoughtful touch provided ample charging options for our multitude of devices, from boot warmers to smartphones and laptops.
In conclusion, our experience at this VRBO was nothing short of exceptional. From its proximity to the ski lifts to its thoughtful amenities and attentive management, it surpassed all our expectations. We highly recommend this property to anyone seeking the perfect ski getaway. We will definitely be back!

key location, broken sofa
condo is 130 paces away from snow to gondola (kids counted) is basically why it gets 4 stars. condo itself was good, but some things indisrepair. the dishwasher rack was unsteady. no blackout shades for main bedroom, the patio floor to ceiling window leta a lot of light in, and its very hard to put up a sheet to block the light. closet door in main bedroom broken, permanently "open" position. but the the biggest issue was the main sofa -- its a convertablesofa bed. but the sofa bed "frame" if you will, contains the mattress by means of a trampoline sheet underneath -- unfortunaely, many of the springs suspending that sheet were missing - this meant so much sinkage that the bed could not be used by anyone more than 50 pounds, and also, when folded up, the sofa had so much sinkage, that one could not even sit on it as a sofa. this needs to be fixed. the outside was well maintained in terms of keeping ice/snow away from walkways, but, the hot tub was sometimes not heated enough. overall, we would stay again, if the sofa were replaced, and window shades were added.

This property's description accurately details the location and logistics for getting to and from the lifts. We welcome questions if guests would like further information prior to booking.
We offer guests multiple ways to reach us if they have any questions or concerns before, during or after their stay. This guest unfortunately did not contact us at all during their stay. Had they reached out to us, we could have easily taken a look at any maintenance issues and helped resolve them much sooner.
While some of the items this guest has mentioned are personal preference, rather than an actual issue, we appreciate the information regarding the items needing repair and have alerted the owner.
Regarding the curtains in the bedroom, there are baseboard heaters directly below the window, and curtains would be more of a safety issue than blinds.

I would stay here again
I only have two suggestion. The patio table and chairs were dirty when we arrived and my guest and I spent 15-20 minutes wiping them down with Clorox wipes. Secondly, there were no parking passes in the arrival folder and when I called to ask about them. The person I spoke to said “You shouldn’t need them, they’re really doe winter time “. I would have like a little more of a definitive answer than shouldn’t. Luckily we didn’t have a problem no one was towed.

During the summer months, and especially during early summer, the weather in Colorado can be extremely erratic. The patio furniture is cleaned on a regular basis, however, it's possible that storms, wind, pollen, and other debris can settle and create a bit of a film on the furniture between cleans.
The parking lot is not monitored during the summer months, but because of this property's prime location and easy access to the slopes, parking passes are required during the winter.

2022 Spring Break
It was a great unit. Perfect location, easy access to everything important and nice views of the valley. Hot tubs were fantastic after a hard day of skiing.
If available, we will look to stay there in the future.
