Family Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving at the house, plenty of room for a big family. The kitchen was well appointed for cooking. So much to do-pool table, ping pong, cornhole, family games and the hot tub for relaxing. Great Thanksgiving week!

Overall good stay

We had a nice stay overall—the place was clean and matched the description. However, all the propane tanks were empty, so we couldn’t use the barbecue grill, which was disappointing. Some rooms weren’t fully separated by complete walls, so there was less privacy and it got noisy at times. Also, taking out the garbage was a bit of a hassle since we had to drive about 5 minutes to reach the dumpster. With a few improvements, this could be a much more comfortable stay.

Great location and views!!!

Very impressed with the property and views. Short drive to the marina where we kept our boat and jet ski. Only glitch was bugs in loft bed and room. Aside from that all was perfect.

Beautiful, quiet property

A few friends and I met at this Possum Kingdom house to relax for a few days, cook out, and listen to music. It went as planned. The house is huge, more secluded than a lot of properties out there, and stocked with pretty much everything you need and want for a getaway, including a pool table and other games, a gas grill, and two refrigerators (one for food, one for beer). I had a little trouble with the code to unlock the front door on arrival, but the owners were responsive and helped me. Over the course of the weekend, we were treated to wildlife sightings, like Barbary sheep, roadrunners, and hawks. And we had some clear nights, so sitting on the deck and looking at the stars was a real treat for us city folk. One suggestion would be to add darker curtains in the living room to eliminate the glare on the TV during the day. I know we shouldn't have been watching TV when the view out the window was so gorgeous, but I don't get the Letterman TV channel at home and I love me some Dave. Highly recommended rental.

Spacious property with amazing views

We were visiting with another family (total 7 people including 3 kids). There was plenty of room for everyone to stretch out comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked with silverware and appliances. Just bring your food and you should be all set! The owners are very thoughtful and have put in lots of games inside the home and the garage has been retrofitted as a separate game area. The kids had a blast! The house is clean. The front yard is expansive and dreamy with miles of sunflower fields. We spotted deer and lots of birds (including a hummingbird in the backyard). The backyard faces a cliff with a river in the background. Very relaxing to be in the midst of all this beauty. Highly recommended!

PK Vacay

My husband and I stayed at this home two nights over Labor Day weekend with four other couples. The home has a ton of character, and we would definitely stay here again. One wing of the house has three bedrooms. (These bedrooms are all connected with only curtains as doors. This was not an issue for us, but it might be for some.) There are two kitchen type areas and having the extra refrigerator was nice. The home was well stocked, and we had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy and the AC was cold (always a plus) The pool table and boom box were a huge hit with our group! We also enjoyed sitting out on the back porch watching the rain. Unfortunately we only saw one deer :( The house is on several acres. We were wishing we had thought about bringing our side by side because there were people riding them in the neighborhood. It was nice to have the Bluff Creek Marina so close to the house, and it is only a short boat ride to Hell's Gate, which is where we spent the weekend. HOWEVER, the boat launch is on a very steep cliff! We ended up paying someone at the boat repair shop to pull our boat out of the water. The launch ramp was wet from the rain, and people's vehicles were slipping and sliding. If you don't have a heavy duty truck, you might have to do this as well. The marina had snacks, cute gifts, ice, and cold drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic)! The employees at the marina were amazingly friendly!

Everything You Could Ask For!!

The location up on the top of the cliff is stunning. Even though you cannot access the water from the top where the house is located -the view is priceless and so peaceful. There is no one around you at all, except the Barbary sheep that come to visit all the time! We came with a group of 3 large families for a local baseball tournament, and this house was the perfect relaxation spot. Groceries are a challenge for the area because it is remote so bring the food you need if possible. But other than food and drinks, the house has everything you could possibly need. The owners have everything labeled to make it easy to find things and have put a great deal of thought into what is stocked. The house and everything in it looks brand new! Some of our party commented that it surely was not a rental because it was super clean and had a high end feel to every part of the house. The house has the pool table, ping pong, corn hole, satellite TV, and other games. And the split floor plan provides a nice separate area of privacy for 3 families. There is the marina near by and other community owned recreational resources but we didn’t get to use them due to our schedule. And then there is the owners - Lisa and her husband. Lisa was our point of contact and was so nice and responsive. She sent an email prior to our arrival giving additional helpful info. And we communicated multiple times during the stay as we were a little needy. She was such a gracious host and wanted to make sure our stay was a great experience. It was!! The only downside to our trip was a lost canopy that we left out that the wind got. We were able to retrieve it but it went to the dumpster. Don’t leave anything out back as the wind can pick up unexpectedly in the cliffs. This property is better than the photos can show. Great experience all around Make sure you don’t miss a sunset during your stay!!

We had the best experience at this house! The pictures are 100% accurate, it’s just as gorgeous inside. The layout is a little different but it didn’t stop our group from enjoying this beautiful home. The bunkbed room doesn’t have its own bathroom so it had to share a bathroom with two other rooms but again, our group loved it. The host was very responsive. The thermostat is controlled by the host so just text them and they will adjust it. We only had to text once and they kept it comfortable the duration of our stay. Again, beautiful home and super clean.

Third Stay; Love it!

Large group stayed 2 nights this time. Watched the meteor shower!! Magnificent! Rented a boat with a captain, took the kids tubing. Love this place and hope to keep coming back!! It has it all.

Great Home and Amazing Views!!

We had a group of 14 friends that get together every five years or so and picked the perfect location. The house had everything we needed and more. Very clean! The homeowners were great to work with and very accommodating. If you enjoy the lake, golf, cornhole or just want to relax, we would highly recommend this one.

Perfect Family Time!

Amazing view, gorgeous sunsets. House is beautiful and spacious. Loved the layout with lots of privacy. Hosts are thoughtful stocking the house with everything you might need. Location is perfect just minutes away from Bluff Creek Marina. We were able to rent a boat slip for $50 a day. We had a wonderful relaxing time. We will be back!

Friends and Family Fun!

We spent Easter weekend here and it was even more fun and relaxation than we imagined. The kids were entertained at the house with ping pong and pool tournaments, corn hole and the hot tub. Egg hunt and room to gather 'round for the Story of Easter was a plus. Renting a boat one day and kayaking the next made for a memorable holiday. The house is so well appointed, organized, and clean; making it pleasant for everyone (Gigi included!!). Plenty of room and every kitchen amenity made meal prep fun. The charcoal grill was a surprise, and just what we wanted. Firepit after the sensational sunset .... bliss. Thank you for having this house as an option for rent. We intend to visit it again!

Great for 2-3 families

The house was good for what we needed. If you are playing at Rocker B it is a great alternative than staying in Mineral Wells or on-site. If you are wanting a weekend at PK - you are not on the lake but very close to all amenities. Property was clean and ready upon arrival, information from owners was very helpful and informative.
