This property was well stocked with everything we needed for our one week stay. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked well. The added bonus was the use of the shed with all of the beach items inside ( chairs, bikes, floats, umbrellas).

Cute house. Poorly maintained. All the floors are extremely out of level and there are trip hazards everywhere. The beds are tilted to the point of making sleeping uncomfortable. Kitchen isn’t set up well at all. Didn’t even know there was a microwave till day3 when we found it behind the refrigerator. TVs were not used friendly and the thermostat was hidden behind the TV. Over all not happy with the experience

Our first time in Cape Charles and loved it! The house was perfect. It had everything we needed and was in a great location. The house was clean and beautiful! We definitely will be back!

Great family group stay

Our group, including multiple adults and young kids, had a great stay! The property was clean, comfortable, and super well equipped, from the kitchen to the shed out back. We really enjoyed how bright and breezy it felt, especially after a day out at the beach. The location was also a plus, as our toddlers could easily cruise on their balance bikes to the lovely park down the street. Property management was super responsive, which was awesome.

We had a wonderful week at Fun in the Sun! The house was exactly as pictured, and we loved being able to bring our doggie along!! We always appreciate a pet friendly stay in Cape Charles. This house is as spacious, bright and breezy, making for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the gear to make meals at home. Shed includes beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie board, bikes, etc. the house also includes tons of fun games and books. All appliances in great shape making for easy clean-up with laundry and dishes. Heads up the back yard is not fenced in (I didn’t read the listing very well just pointing out for dog owners needing a fence). Mattresses are on the firm side which was different for us, but we all slept very well! We needed a few extra supplies during our week long stay and property management was amazingly kind and prompt in responding, answered all of our questions and dropped off extra detergent for us which was very appreciated! 10/10 stay in this darling pink house!!!

Check in process was easy and property manager very responsive. It is an old historic house, so doors stick, windows leak warm air, and ceilings are cracked. But overall, spacious house with a good location and large kitchen.

Beautiful historic home for a family getaway

Lovely spot for two families (two couples, three kids total) to spend a few days exploring Cape Charles. Fantastic communication with rental agency and a well-appointed, gorgeous old home, would absolutely stay here again. One of the adult bedrooms is connected to the kids’ room, however you can come and go through a cute little winding staircase that attaches to the kitchen so you don’t have to go through the kids’ room to enter and exit… but, would be an issue for someone with motility challenges! We thought it was fun. The house is in a nice location on a quiet, historic street… definitely recommend renting a golf cart for getting to and from the beach as it’s just under a mile. Property is clean and well-maintained, only minor issue is the downstairs bathroom doorknob needs to be secured. Cute touches like the owners’ paintings of local places and the string lights out back make it feel very special!

Decent short term rental

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The scape worked for what we needed but wasn’t fully and properly cleaned. Property was very obviously not fully vacuumed upon our arrival. The house also seemed to be in some disrepair, shower head handle was loose, some doors missing knobs/loose, door frames shifted (leaving gaps when doors closed). In addition it seemed to be quite dangerous that all the glass on windows and doors was single pane and not tempered.

This was our second time at “the pink house” and we were very happy with our stay. The home is clean and fun, the AC works well, and it’s plenty big for our family of four plus our pup. The rental company is quick to respond to any issues, and they don’t require a lot of the crazy check out lists that other homes have. We have been coming to CC for 6 years now, and this rental is our favorite!

Comfy old house

The library was the perfect size for the baby's pack n play. The mattresses were AMAZING! Rental houses and their ****** mattresses have become the bane of my existence so I was pleasantly surprised to sleep on the memory foam mattresses at Fun in the Sun. THANK YOU OWNERS for putting some extra money into decent mattresses. Overall this house was really comfortable, decorated beautifully and I hope we will be back. If I had to pick on thing to improve, the kitchen is dark at night and could use more lighting.

Peaceful stay in a beautiful town

It was only a couple blocks from the park where we enjoyed the concert on Saturday night. The back yard was a great place to get morning sun and we love hanging out on the front porch in the evenings. We had access to bikes and cornhole, which was very convenient. It was also pet friendly, so it was a great location for our family. We had a wonderful time.

Fun in the Sun

This was a charming home, and very clean. The neighborhood was friendly and quiet. The beds were comfortable. Be aware that the TV is not connected to cable or dish, but is a Smart TV. We would happily stay here again.

Love the Charm

This house is nicely appointed and was very clean. The beds and linens were very comfortable! A couple things: the tv didn’t work for us and would be nice to have a curtain for the outside shower. We had a great time and will definitely be back again to stay at this adorable house! Thank you!

Too short

623 Monroe Street was nice and just as described on the website. We were pleased to be able to rent for a partial week. Sadly, several things at Cape Charles were closed for various reasons, but that is certainly not the property owners' fault.

Wonderful Stay!

We loved our trip to Cape Charles. I came with my mom and two sons. The house was perfect for all ages. Everything was very clean and so cute. We would definitely stay here again.
