We had a fabulous stay in Ohio Amish country. The facility had all we needed and more. The hosts were very responsive and flexible to work with. Loved the sanctuary The Sleepy Owls Nest gave us.

PEACE AND QUIET!!!!

This is a wonderful cottage way out in the country. We stayed here for our visit to the Ohio State Reformatory Shawshank Redemption tour. We had two couples staying and we all highly recommend this place. It's amazingly quiet and peaceful. We set up croquet in the front yard and had a great time.

Very nice, quiet little home. Renters should note that the description is a little misleading. It says “no cable tv” but really should say there is no tv. We interpreted the listed as not having cable but since there was internet we planned on watching a family movie on Netflix. We were quite surprised to have no tv at all. It was not a big deal for us since our stay was short but renters should be aware. Other than that our stay was fine. Beds were not the most comfortable but not bad. The home seems quite old and has all of the charm and faults of old homes

Ashland weekend

We came to watch our daughter compete at GMAC Indoor Track Championships! It was the perfect place for us! Quick ride from Ashland. She was able to come stay the evening and hang out but return to her dorm. Everything we could need was there and it was so cozy! It’s a super peaceful place! I’m certain we will back!

Quiet retreat

The cabin was a quiet retreat for the family. It doesn’t have a TV and the wifi was spotty but had plenty of games to keep us entertained. Checkin and out was easy. Great stay and we would consider staying again if in the area.

Home away from home!

We rented this house because my daughter was in a golf tournament in Ashland, and we wanted our fubabies with us. The house was beautiful..so airy and comfortable. Our hostess Laurel provided the necessities and made sure our stay was wonderful. We absolutely loved the house and the beautiful, scenic countryside. We definitely plan on staying there again.

A Cozy Cottage

We loved our stay at your cozy cottage in the country. Laurel was a pleasure to speak to and answered all our questions when we first arrived. We all enjoyed the fireplace on those cold Ohio nights. We had a lovey time with family for Thanksgiving and so appreciate the opportunity to stay in your quiet Shiloh retreat. We look forward to staying with you again on our next trip up to visit.

So peaceful! Country walks were relaxing. Property owner very sweet! Warm weather came fast and patio needed some attention from the winter weather and Laurel swept it, did some painting and added a beautiful plant!

Peaceful Sanctuary

This property is beautiful, very clean and in the middle of the most beautiful, green and peaceful area we have ever seen. The house is equipped with everything you need. We connected with our granddaughter by working jigsaw puzzles and talking. Mot having a tv was a great thing and not missed. This home never disappoints. We have stayed here twice and look forward to staying here again.

Peaceful country setting

We stayed for 4 nights. It’s a cozy cabin in the country. Very peaceful and relaxing. Easy to get to and not far from town if you need things. Kitchen and rooms are well stocked with things like pots and pans and extra blankets. We did have an issue arise with the water, a fitting on the pump broke. The owners were right on it and went well above and beyond trying to make things right and accommodating for us. We had two adults and 4 kids and the house fit us perfect.
