Come cozy up in this charming cottage located in the Hillside Beach area, just over 1 hour North of Winnipeg. This 1000 Sq ft year round house sits on a 1/2 acre treed in lot with ample privacy and breathtaking views. This 3 bedroom 1 bathroom home is comfortably set up and perfect for family holidays, romantic getaways or small group gatherings. Enjoy the fresh air while taking a short walk to the long sandy Hillside Beach, hiking the trails, fishing, snow shoeing and so much more!

we had a nice family time, the cottage beds were comfortable, BBQ worked well, a private setting with lots of space outdoors for kids and adults to play and enjoy nature.

Beautiful cottage in friendly neighborhood

Check-in was quick and easy. The property was clean and comfortable. Had a nice yard to play sports in. Very friendly neighbors.

"The Haven"

Our stay was very pleasant, quiet, accessible to other sites close by, spacious, clean and a good selection of needed supplies for everyday living. We got to pick some chokecherries for some winter jelly, a bonus! Thank you.

More than we expected

We’ve rented many cottages in the area. This rental was unique because it had so many things included like bedding, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, nice dishes and appliances, good quality furniture and super easy checking out standards. It even had a Nintendo Wii for the kids! I had way less to pack and it made coming home w 2 small children so much easier. To me, this is so important. I would highly recommend this home away from home!

Not quite as advertised

There was no wifi. There was one air conditioning unit in the master bedroom. The living room ceiling fan we could not turn on. Not all the ceiling lights had bulbs. The washing machine could not be used because the septic field was almost full.

Cute cabin stay

This is a nice and quaint cabin for families and friends. The open concept living area was good for preparing meals and hanging out; the woodburning fireplace was nice for the chilly nights. The master bedroom is nice with lots of natural light, the other 2 bedrooms a bit gloomy. The wrap around deck is fantastic as well as the yard space for playing lawn games! Check-in was easy and I was able to get in touch with the host quickly with questions. While the beach is in walking distance (about 20 minutes), it connects to a rocky part, so you would have to walk even further to get to the sand. With all of our gear, we chose to drive instead. The only cons were: the property was advertised to have wifi but did not, and the barbercue was in dire need of repair or replacement.

Return to Hillside

Having relocated out of province, it had been 25 years since we had been to the Hillside beach area. We loved our time at Hillside Haven! The cabin was clean and comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. All the beds were so comfortable! We had to check on the brand of the king size pillows so we could get some for out selves. The weather cooperated and so the deck surrounding the living space was well used. Thanks so much for making our return so pleasant.

Great place to relax

We had a great time here. The cabin was nice and clean. The yard is beautiful and the big deck is great. When the bugs were out the screened in gazebo allowed us to stay outside comfortably. Easy and quick drive to the beach, and close to a really nice playground for the kids.
