It's the little missing things that bother
My family and I stayed at the villa during mid-september and although we enjoyed our times at the villa, it's the little missing things that bothered us the most. I'll explain.
Location:
Before our trip, we chose this villa based on the proximity of the Walt Disney World. Afterall, the map said that it was only 10 to 15 miles away. There was a grocery store, a pharmacy, a gas station and some restaurants really close. What we didn't know was how much trafic there is on route 192, which is the only way to get to highway 4, which leads to Disney, Universal, the airport, etc. Close in distance but the comute can be quite annoying, especially in the morning and the evening.
Resort security:
There are security guards at the front gate which make the site feels secure.
Resort amenities:
Nothing bad to say here. There is a lot of freebies included at the clubhouse: pools, spa, waterslide, lazy river, miniature golf course, arcade game (which are free to play), sports court (vollyball, basketball, corn hole) and a fitness room. There is also a sports bar and a restaurant. They won't let us bring our own food or drink but we didn't mind ordering from the bar.
Villa location:
Within the resort, the villa is really nicely located. There are no neighbour behind the pool which was perfedt. The neighbour on both sides can feel close, especially if they're trowing a party... like they did.
Villa:
A lot of space for everyone even if the house is at max capacity which is close to 18 or 20 people. Even if this seems to be a brand new construction, a lot of thing in the house were broken (electrical outlet, walls, etc.), not well made (bumps in the rug) or not well maintained. Owners should look into that.
Villa amenities:
This is where things gets a little bit dissapointing. The villa comes with linen in all the beds but they feel really cheap, as you can see through them. There is a shower towels for everybody but no pool towels. There are tablewear and glasswear (yes the can opener was still broken) which are to be cleaned and stored before leaving but nothing to wash nor dry them. There were no cleaning products. There were nothing to mop or clean the floors. Having flown to Orlando, we had to buy a lot of things that were left behind and should have been provided. Owners should really do something about that. And I can confirm that trash management is a real issue.
Overall:
A great stay, a great resort, a good house but owners should improve on it.
