Lambton Shores Beach House

Who needs to go to the Caribbean when you have paradise right here! Steps from the beach (see photo with circle to beach access) with a deck out back and fire pit! 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms. We also have 2 sofa beds (1 double, 1 twin in the living room). Kitchen with island and full laundry room with brand new washer / dryer. This is a rare gem! Family friendly, great for girl trips or a place to work remotely! Due to city bylaws we can accommodate up to 10 adults + multiple children under 12. (Outdoor cameras to verify). This is a small beach community. Around the corner is a Herb Farm and within a short drive are breweries, golf courses, Ipperwash Beach, Pinery Provincial Park, hiking trails, etc. Grand Bend is about 20-35 minutes away. Cross-border shopping (Target, Khol's, JC Penny, Meijers etc.) is 30 minutes away. Never short of things to do if you want to explore beyond the community beach! There is also a Tim Hortons, LCBO and Foodland 6 minutes away. Pets must be well trained. It’s a very pet friendly community. Come enjoy my happy place!

Perfect accomodations. Did not like the walk down or up the hill to get to the beach. Golf cart is absolutely necessary. Even my 5 grandsons loved the pink deco :). No issues. Thanks

Had a great time! The beach is beautiful right across the street down a very steep slope. The water is shallow for a long stretch which is great for kids.

Family weekend fun

Booked this large house for comfort and our family get together. Great space, backyard and beach across the road. Could have spent more time but the kids had to get back to their busy lives.

Small beach getaway

The host was very nice answering a lot of my questions beforehand. We were a group of 8 adults and one child. My family had travelled from a different province to come visit us for a week in the summer so we decided to rent a cottage. Check in was easy and she even let us check in a couple hours early which was nice. The cottage was “clean” but it definitely needed a deep clean done to it. There were still other peoples items under the beds, and a lot of dust. The vacuum was FULL to the brim when we arrived, so when we needed to use it over the course of the week we had to dump it, that was a little off putting. The main issue we had (which I never contacted the host about because I wasn’t sure what she would be able to do about it) was that when we arrived the small fridge freezer was jam packed FULL. We had just done a $600 Costco trip, and bought a lot of frozen meats, etc to feed our large family for the week, and we had nowhere to put any of it. In the past when I’ve rented places like this, the fridge and freezer are generally empty in order to be used by the guests. That part was definitely frustrating. Also the beach access is on a giant hill, which was never mentioned to me in the description of the cottage. Seeing as we have elderly parents, this caused a bit of an issue because it was quite a steep hill to go down (and then back up) just to get to the beach. Everyone else there has golf karts to ride up and down this path. Overall it was an okay stay.

A true gem & must stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cottage. It is situated in a perfect community with friendly neighbours and fellow visitors. Just a brief walk to an incredibly serene private beach; couldn’t resist daily walks on this natural gem. Our family highly recommends this place for anyone looking to host a family reunion or private party. The open concept main floor makes for great entertaining space.

We are friends who decided to purchase a beach house together in 2021 to enjoy with family and friends. We renovated this beautiful home to give it a 'beach house' vibe. We love spending time here and particularly enjoy the Lake Huron sunsets. It's an amazing community and we are proud of our vacation home. We are willing to share it for only a couple weeks throughout the year- so be sure to book ASAP!
