Great place to spend Labor Day Weekend for boating, swimming, and fishing. The house was spacious and plenty of room for our family. The view of the lake was awesome!

Truly enjoyed our stay with our family and friends. The beach area was the perfect spot to fish off the dock and beach our boat and jet skis. The large fenced in yard was perfect for our dog. He enjoyed the beach just as much as the kids. House was clean and accommodating for the 9 of us. Plenty of room to spread out to eat and enjoy the sunsets on the back porch. Definitely recommend and would come again.

Wonderful Lakefront Getaway with a Fantastic Host!We enjoyed a wonderful weekend on the lake, and being able to bring our large dog was a requirement. The peaceful setting and location were perfect for our plans.The host was absolutely fantastic!Responsive, thoughtful, and accommodating! With rain in the forecast, we planned to cook rather than drive 20 minutes to restaurants. When we needed additional kitchen equipment, she graciously brought over a crockpot ahead of stay!A few tips for future guests: Like many rentals, the cookware has seen better days. Bring nonstick foil, cooking spray, or a few kitchen essentials for larger planned meals. Silverware was limited, check with the host if cooking for a larger group. The kitchen could use some refreshed cookware or expanded options for larger families. The home is older and could use some TLC, but it suited our needs well.Being lakefront in Florida means sharing nature with our unofficial state bird—the mosquito! Bring protection for yourself and your pups. The sandy beach is lovely, but sand follows you everywhere! Our powder pilotfish applicator was a lifesaver. Bring games or cards for family time indoors.We also highly recommend visiting Bok Tower Gardens while in the area. (Can take dogs, see site) Such a unique and beautiful place to explore.Overall, a great getaway with all our family and a genuinely wonderful host. We appreciated her hospitality and enjoyed our stay!

Beautiful Sunsets

We needed a vacation location close to our home so we could travel back and forth to feed our daughters show animals. This home fit perfectly for us, and allowed us to bring our pups with us. There are a few neighbors close, but it still feels very private which we enjoy.

Paradise Cove

We had an amazing time. The house is lovely. We didn't want for anything. The view of the cove and lake are breathtaking. We had so much fun fishing, canoeing, kayaking, sitting on the beach, and watching the sunsets. We definitely recommend this as a getaway. Looking forward to booking again and bringing our adult kids.

Great experience

This was a very nice rental property on a beautiful lake. We enjoyed our stay. Renting a pontoon boat a couple of days, definitely a plus. Nice fenced back your for our furry family members. Rebecca our host, was exceptionally helpful. Overall, very relaxing vacation experience. Although we try to experience different places, we would highly consider booking this property again.

Had a great time

check in was a breeze and we had everything we needed/expected in the house. The house was cleaned and well equipped. Loved the screened in porch as well as the water being right there. our 5 year old loved playing in the water and my niece and nephew enjoyed the kayaks the outside shower was great to get the sand off before entering the house. We especially loved the early morning visits from the neighborhood alligator. We would definitely stay here again.

Tranquil and relaxing

The Lake House is a wonderful location to retreat from a typically hectic 50 hour work week for some rest and relaxation. The home is older, but extremely clean and furnished beautifully. The rooms are large and the kitchen is well furnished. Having a private beach and dock is amazing. I recommend the Crooked Bass for a delicious meal. We did travel to Lake Wales to tour Bok Gardens which is not far away. I would highly recommend The Lake House for a quiet getaway or a family gathering. Loved it!

Thanksgiving 2021

This property was exactly what we were looking for. We rented it to have our children and grandchildren under one roof for Thanksgiving. Everyone enjoyed fishing off the dock. Our grandchildren (2 & 4) loved playing in the sand and in the water. The property was very clean and presents just as it does in the listing. The owners were easy to reach with questions. The perfect getaway spot. Definitely would stay again.
