Surf and Sand at Terra Mar

Sparkling, Salt Water Heated Pool, Walk to the Beach, Weber Grill.

This family friendly home is located on a small island midway between the pristine sands of Pompano Beach a mile north and the sandy beach of Lauderdale by the Sea a mile to the south. The sparkling salt water pool is surrounded by a privacy fence and beautiful landscaping. The large two bedroom home has two full baths, an open great room, full kitchen and air conditioned lanai. The master has a king bed, second bedroom a twin and a queen bed and the sofa in the great room that opens to queen size.
The dining room seats six but a slider to the air conditioned lanai also has a table for four. The bedrooms each have HDTV's and the living area has a Big Screen HDTV and Xfinity secure internet. The full kitchen has all the appliances such as microwave, toaster and blender. Enjoy the pool deck area with many chaises as well as a table to dine poolside. The weber gas grill is ready for steaks or shrimp skewers. The LED pool light changes colors and gives a truly dramatic atmosphere during evening hours around the pool. The garage area has been turned into a large game room with table tennis, darts and comfy seating as well as washer and dryer for your use. The Publix supermarket, drug store and adult beverage shop is just a five minute drive. The location of this home is perfect to take in all that south Florida has to offer.

This house was perfect for our family. Easy to walk to the beach, close to good restaurants, well-stocked kitchen and it was so nice to have beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler and other water toys. The pool was also really nice! We would definitely stay here again in the future!

We stayed for 3 nights on a short notice trip. The hosts were very kind and accommodative. Great location. The short walk to the beach was a plus. Excellent communication, and the property was well maintained and provisioned. If we were to return, we would definitely consider staying at Surf and Sand at Terra Mar again. Wonderful Spring Break

Great vacation in quiet Neighborhood

Nice home in nice neighborhood

This is a nice home in a nice quiet safe neighborhood. This is what I was looking for - so quiet no earplugs needed. Loved seeing neighbors out walking and very friendly. Communication was fantastic so responsive and helpful. Very clear instructions on finding the home and entry.

Great house

This house had everything we needed. The pool was clean. Beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware, coffee cups, and glasses. The hosts Jan & Tom were outstanding and communicated very well. We were going to rent this house next February, unfortunately it was available. Great house!

Private beach access!

We enjoyed the house. The only thing that was not very good is the access to the beach. The private beach cross the main road was not accessible (it shows on the private beach on VRBO but we did not have the entrance key). Why the photos of the private beach are on the VRBO if you didn't have access???

Family Time

We enjoyed our time in Terra Mar. super close to the beach, restaurants, and grocery store. We especially enjoyed floating in the pool after the beach!

Great vacation

The house was perfectly located for our beach trip. The house had many fun activities and provided chairs and an umbrella for us to use at the beach. It really helped the little one stay cool for a fun day at the beach. Def recommend staying here!

Wonderful Place to Stay

My husband and I along with my son, DIL and 11 month old Grandson, stayed here for a visit with family. This home was in a great location and the hospitality was like no other. Grandson loved the pool and watching us play ping pong!

Wonderful vacations

Perfect place for a family vacation, amazing place with all conditions both in the house and its surroundings, very quiet neighborhood, close to the beach, and the center with many options within reach. Magnificent communication with the owners, excellent cleanliness and everything necessary to make you feel like you took care of your home to go on vacation, they met all our expectations, they really meet everything they offer on the page. This was a great rental!

This home is very gorgeous! The pool was very nice. The garage was nice to hang out in and the Florida room was very comfortable as well. This was a very pleasant trip and the hosts were very quick to communicate if we needed anything. I would 100% recommend this rental to friends or family.

Great spot, as described

Very clean and spacious home in a quiet intercoastal neighbourhood. Family of 5 and a grandmother that stayed and enjoyed it very much. Beach is walkable with the wagon provided and publix is also walkable if needed. Only thing id recommend is to swap out the double bed in the second bedroom with bunk beds to really maximize potential of this rental. Would definitely stay again

Great location and quiet neighborhood

Perfect for morning (or evening walks). My wife and I loved walking down to the beach, Beachcomber or nearby properties to eat. Also near enough to stores and other bars, and activities to make it a short drive. We made good use of most of the property and it was pleasant just to eat, and hang at pool. We suggest heated option from Oct to April. It's about 85 degrees, just cool enough for my wife, just warm enough for me. Wifi, TV's , appliances all worked well. Communication with property managers was clear and concise.

Wonderful retreat in the middle of everything

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable team at Jan's and Tom's house for 1 1/2 weeks. A wonderful peaceful place after coming back from variety of activities the area has to offer, ranging from various nearby beaches, over the everglade tours or a football match at the Dolphin's stadium. Pompano beach or Lauderdale-by-the-sea have great options for a steak, Taco's or good fish menues. The house has everthing you need to feel comfortable and the pool is great for a morning swim or refreshing dive in the afternoon. Communication with Jan and Tom was great and umcomplicated. We did not really have too much to discuss, which speaks for itselfs. As everything was working properly in the house and we did not experience any issues at all. Would always come back if we plan another vacation at Florida east coast!

Peace and quiet

Property is located in the quiet, walkable Terra Mar area. We loved the welcome goody basket and personal message greeting us at arrival. The pool was excellent for a cool off and just to chat and relax with a drink. In the mornings, 2 of us headed out for beach walks (windy!) and coffee. After dinner, we would all stroll the neighborhood; residents are friendly. Grocery and restaurants weren’t close enough for a quick walk but were easily assessable via a super quick drive or delivery. (Loved a French bistro we found a bit inland; mmm, fresh croissants). This was just the relaxing trip I needed with my friends. Thanks Jan and Tom!
