Welcome to Cedar Creek, a luxurious and unique slope-front custom-built vacation home, with the finest Ski-in/Ski-out access on the Winterset ski trail, at the all-new Timberline Mountain resort. Comfortable for work and for play for all ages, Cedar Creek offers 7 bedrooms and 8.5 baths, and 2 additional built-in bunks adjacent to the pool table area. All linens provided from professional linen service. Dual-zone gas heat and central A/C. Electronic amenities include broadband WiFi and flat screen TV’s in living spaces and all 7 bedrooms. Both living room TV's are smart-streaming Samsung Crystal 4K UHDs, with free Samsung TV Plus channel and ability to access your Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, or other subscription streaming services. Convenient theater room TV connected to cable and equipped with DVD player, movie collection, and convenient HDMI port for use with your gaming systems. Every bedroom TV is connected to basic cable TV. There is plenty of room to spread out with 2 living room areas, each equipped with a gas fireplace, plus a theater/TV room. The spacious kitchen, bar, and dining area will make mealtime a pleasure and with 2 refrigerators and 2 dishwashers, storage and clean-up are a snap. Gather on the outside deck for charcoal grilling, outdoor eating, relaxing in the 7-person hot tub, viewing gorgeous sunsets, or stargazing under the brilliant night sky. Enjoy the flat grassy outdoor area with picnic table, chairs, swinging glider, and a perfect cornhole pitch. No matter when you plan to be our guest, you’ll never be bored as you enjoy all that the Canaan Valley has to offer, featuring the under-new-ownership Timberline Mountain Resort, Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls State Parks, Dolly Sods, and the Canaan Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Enjoy downhill and cross-country skiing, tubing and sledding parks, ice skating; golfing, hiking, biking, and horseback riding, fishing, canoeing, and kayaking, breweries and distilleries, and just pure R&R. Shop, visit the art galleries and restaurants, or enjoy live music in Davis and Thomas. Please no smoking, no pets or service animals. Four or all wheel drive is strongly recommended for winter guests.

Family Reunion at Cedar Creek

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time at Cedar Creek. There were a couple of hiccups but overall our stay was great. On the 2nd day we noticed the air-conditioner for the main floor and basement floor was not working. We also tripped a breaker for the kitchen when we were cooking dinner. My brother and his wife noticed a stain on their bottom sheet right near the pillows. They ended up sleeping on the bedspread that night and then washed the sheets in the morning. The stain did not come out so they put that end of the sheet down by their feet. Then the smoke alarm in one of the upstairs bedrooms kept beeping like the battery needed to be changed. I emailed Best of Canaan but did not receive a reply. Finally even though it was after hours I called. I received a call back immediately. Maintenance came out, changed the filter on the air conditioner, fixed the breaker and smoke alarm. He was very pleasant. As was the lady who had returned my call. She was very apologetic regarding the stained sheets and thanks to her we were good to go after Maintainence left. The only negative was there were no window treatments in the dining area. Due to the big windows allowing lots of sunlight in it wasn't ideal for games or sitting down to a meal. Also, many of plastic chairs on the deck were not safe as they had cracks in them.

Perfect getaway for an outdoors experience

Went with a bachelor party. House fit 13 of us with ease, plenty of bathrooms and spaces for sleeping. The area was perfect for outdoors excursions. Highly recommend checking out NRocks and BOA for whitewater rafting.

Reviewer Comments: Our stay at Cedar Creek was beyond amazing!The house is incredibly spacious, spread out over three floors with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance and tool we needed—plus two dishwashers and two sinks, which were a huge bonus!The beds were super comfortable, the bathrooms were plentiful 😀, and the furniture was perfect for relaxing, watching TV, or just hanging out and chatting.The only minor downside was the lack of cabinet space for dry goods, and the WiFi could definitely use a boost—it was pretty unreliable, so a stronger modem or booster would be helpful.That said, this is truly one of the best homes we’ve ever rented. We WILL return!

Ideal layout for a large group so no one is on top of each other, TRUE ski in ski out right off Winterset, every bedroom has its own bathroom so no one has to share, 2 of every major appliance, downstairs game room so kids can hang out, play pool etc. it’s literally perfect! Only negative was the internet speed. TV list signal a couple times while watching NFL playoffs But I used my hot spot on my phone and it that worked great for surfing web.

When we arrived, the house we originally booked was having a maintenance issue. The team quickly got us situated in this house. We loved the deck, the two enormous couches, the fact that all the bedrooms had a bathroom. I was very impressed that they were able to get us into a comparable property right away -- we had four families needing space. The location suited us perfectly for outdoor excursions -- which were nearby! We enjoyed Dolly Sods, the resort, Blackwater Falls, and a horseback riding excursion. We grilled out most nights and appreciated the equipped kitchen! West Virginia is Almost Heaven and we will definitely be back.

This home has been one of our mainstays because the number of bedrooms and a large kitchen dining area. The home is clean and updated. The deck has a picnic table as well as many chairs to allow for other seating options while eating meals. The deck is a great place to gather in the evening and enjoy the cool night air. Overall a nice place to stay if you have a large group.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It’s a great house. Perfect for 7 or 8 golfers. We have probably rented this house 8-10 times over the past 6 or 7 years. However, recent price increases have been fairly dramatic. We decided to not to rent again this coming Aug/Sept. Also, one criticism I would offer: you really need a couple of umbrellas or other shade protect on the back deck. It can get really hot and sunny out there.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Well appointed, plenty of space to chill. Every bedroom as a full bath and hot tub was spacious. Kitchen was fine, oven looks old however and no pantry (baker's rack was sufficient but was overflowing). Plenty of pots/pans and 2 dishwashers did come in handy. Great ski-in/ski-out with ski mud room and undercover patio as you come off the slopes.
