The cleaning standard on this occasion fell short of what we expect. The items reported on the evening of arrival, including the linen cupboard, rubbish left under the beds, marks on the walls and the cot, should all have been dealt with at turnover. Housekeeping was offered for the following morning, which was declined as the home had already been tidied by the guests, and a partial refund was subsequently provided. This has been addressed directly with the housekeeping team responsible for the property, and a deep clean has been requested.

We are disappointed to read this review, as it does not accurately reflect the circumstances of your arrival. Check-in is from 3:00pm as clearly outlined in our booking terms. While on rare occasions there can be minor delays due to circumstances outside of our control, we do not accept that the property was “not ready” until 5:30pm in the manner suggested. We communicated with you regarding access, and there was no refusal of entry. In relation to amenities and supplies, we are very clear in our listing about what is and is not provided. As stated in our terms, we do not guarantee consumables beyond the standard starter provisions. Guests are expected to bring or purchase additional items as needed for the duration of their stay. This is standard practice in holiday rentals. The comment regarding the oven is also concerning. Our properties are professionally cleaned and inspected between each stay. Had this been reported during your stay, we would have addressed it promptly. As outlined in our rental agreement, issues must be raised at the time of occurrence to allow us the opportunity to rectify them. We cannot resolve matters that are only mentioned after departure. We stand by the quality and presentation of the property and our management processes. If expectations differ from the short-term holiday rental model we operate under, alternative accommodation providers may be better suited for future bookings.
