The house was large and wonderful for a getaway weekend. Plenty of beds, and bathrooms. The gas stove was a little tricky to use and there was pictures of a boat ramp and the listing is stated as a lake waterfront, so I thought we had access to the actual lake. A little disappointed in that since we brought a bunch of water activities. Also the owners were circling the area 10-15 minutes before our checkout time and just staring at us as we loaded up. A little off putting to us. Overall was a nice place, just needs some clarification on no lake accesses.

The view to the lake is stunning. The main floor with the kitchen, the living room, the deck, and the dining room was absolutely perfect. We loved watching the deer and the bunnies. The third bedroom with the twin beds didn't have the queen sofa bed that was in the listing. The hot tub worked well, but the fireplace was out of order. There is no air conditioning, but with the windows open we were able to keep it pretty cool. The parking situation was very strange. You can only use part of the driveway, and we got a note from the host saying we'd been reported as parking in a back driveway, but we hadn't. We had two cars and had to park one behind the other, which just made planning a little bit trickier.

Great stay!

The serenity house was perfect for our stay in Florence! Close to the dunes and lake. Della was helpful our first day when we checked in. The house had everything we needed.

Excellent family vacation home

We had a fabulous time at Serenity House! This is our 3rd time staying and we were even happier this time! So much space for everyone! Lots of parking and we come down for the dunes and what a nice place to come home to after a long day of riding!

Nice stay

House was nice property was nice. The neighbor came to the house twice because we had a car parked by the garage to unload and asked us to move it so we did then the husband came back and harrased us. Other than that had a great stay

Thanksgiving trip

This was a great property for our family of ten. Large kitchen, living and dining. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. Close to shopping, beach, clamming and crabbing.

Relaxing getaway

Spacious kitchen/living area where everyone could hang out while still being able to find private time either going upstairs or down stairs. Hot Tub was used daily with a beautiful snippet of a view with the lake. Not muc commotion from neighbors. Really is just rhe getaway we were looki g for.

Wonderful house pictures do not do it justice

If you are looking for a house with open concept and fantastic views then this is your place. Everything was well presented just as you were staying in a hotel. Lake view you saw from all windows. So close to the Dunes, Florence and the beach can’t ask for a better location. 5 stars

Great location, needs improvement

The location is without a doubt peaceful and the house is well kept. The address number is wrong as it looks like it got re-numbered. The beds are on broken frames and not comfortable. Only one kitchen garage bag and kitchen appliances should be look at for upgrades. Again peaceful location but needs some TLC.

There was a bit of confusion at arrival as the house number on the mailbox did not match what we were given, and we didn’t immediately figure out the shared driveway situation. We had planned to make pizza the fist night so it was quite a surprise to find out that the oven was not working. Some of the furniture has seen better days including one of of the upstairs beds. Given all that it is a very nice house, much bigger than the photos show. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. And deer and rabbits visit daily.

Clean, quite, NO lake access

Overall a very nice house and easy to find. Very peaceful. Beds and furniture were different than when we booked. My daughter was too tall for the beds.The listing made it seem like we would have access to the lake. NO Lake Access from the back. Need to drive to the park and pay to park. Great Communication with the agency. If you need help at all quick response & maintenance showed up on his day off for us. Oh and lots of deer.

Beautiful and comfortable

I can't say enough about this house. It had 2 flights of stairs but was worth it for the bedroom space upstairs, middle floor had an open floor plan with HUGE kitchen, dining room, living room and deck with a beautiful view. Basement is set up for a family with young children. Garage has a ping pong table and opens up to the back yard. It is very nice. Short walk to the lake. We didn't have time but they also had 2 kayaks. LOVED the place.

Family trip

Nice large home, comfortable for our family gathering. Nice location with nice view, plenty of hot water and space, ping pong table, large kitchen, efficient appliences, plenty of towels, and great balcony space/seating. Could use a little TLC. For instance, the bunk bed didn't look or sound stable so as a result we put the mattresses on the floor, the bedroom chair had a broken leg and was unusable, the hot tub would not stay warm for long, the dinning room table only seats 6, and we slipped and fell a few times using the path to the lake.

Gorgeous home and setting - no lake access

Big, beautiful home, gorgeous setting on the trees with a sliver of the lake in view. Very comfortable for three couples, though two had to share a bathroom. Listing was misleading in a couple of ways: three full bathrooms were listed, there are 2.5, Listing show pictures of a hot tub (and several reviews mentioned the hot tub, however it was not functional. Lastly, there is no lake access nearby. It looks like there is a path to the lake, but the neighbor’s property line crosses over the path, though the path leads to brambles. All of that said, the house was lovely.

Beautiful area, but home needs some love

We stayed for 3 nights. Pros: Location- quiet area, lots of privacy & beautiful views; home had lots of space-we didn't feel like we were on top of each other; big kitchen; plenty of supplies like paper towelsCons: We didn't use the hot tub because it was dirty (which was one of the reasons we chose this VRBO); the oven door was still broken (I had read a prior review that it was broken-apparently they hadn't fixed it yet); gas fireplace didn't work; mattresses were not very comfortable; living room furniture was worn & not as comfortable as it probably was when new; our bedroom floor was obviously not swept; our bathroom shower was missing a shower curtain liner-we had to go buy one. I wish the listing specified that the primary suite of the home is unavailable to renters. They have a sign in the house that asks you to treat the home/act as if you lived there. I wish they maintained it as if they lived there. Overall, I would not book here again.

Family trip

Very nice overall. Neighbor to the south not pleasant. Confronted us with parking in his second driveway before we even had a chance to unload. Has the path to walk down to the lake which is overgrown and understandable but on his property line and does not allow access. Irrigation line by the garage door has a broken sprinkler head so it leaks all over the lower patio. The washing machine seems to have a slight leak after doing a few loads. Did not have enough Dishwashing detergent Some of the cookware needs to be updated and larger variety of kitchen Ware. A little unclear on how we were supposed to leave the house when done. Not Complaining just commenting
