My four friends and I enjoyed the quiet location and the nice backyard. The living room has comfortable furniture nicely arranged for conversation. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes , cookware, and utensils. You should bring your own spices and cooking oil, The beds were comfortable.

House is in a great location. Not right next to the Lake though. Towels were musty and stunk, had to be washed before they could be used. The house had some wear and tear but was not as clean as it should have been. It smelled like the garbage hadn’t been taken out for quite some time when we arrived. Not worth the price.

Great weekend getaway

We had a great weekend getaway. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and the house was very clean. Would definitely go back to this location again.

Wonderful house, nice location

We loved our stay at this property, the house was VERY clean and spacious, with all of the necessary details to accommodate our stay. Comfortable beds, cozy atmosphere, wonderful out-of-the-way location but close enough to things within driving distance. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful home by lake and dunes

Gorgeous home, kitchen has everything you need and more. The neighborhood was wonderful. We took walks daily. Huge yard with fire pit. Perfect place for rest & relaxation.

Family reunion in Florence

This property was perfect for our family reunion. There were 7 adults staying from around the country and 6 who live in Florence that came for meals and activities. The house is lovely and comfortable, and the very large patio with a fire pit and grill allowed us to eat meals outside and have fun visiting around the fire.

Family Reunion

Lovely for family gathering. Fantastic outside. Quick trip to Honeyman Park and lake where we were most of the time. The time we were at the property the kids loved playing poker and badminton which we brought.

Good location for recreation. Check in was easy, appreciated having a local contact in case we needed assistance with wifi or air conditioning etc. Nice kitchen appliances and lots of counter space to accommodate group meal preparations. We didn't find any foil, saran wrap, or baggies. The only condiments we found were salt, pepper, and coffee. Appreciated the backyard and quietness. We will stay here again.

Very nice House near Woahink Lake

The house is very nice-new, open, bright, and a lot of space for 4-6 people and 2 dogs. We loved the large yard. Our dogs also enjoyed the yard. The price is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Thanks for a fantastic stay. Will come back

Great location! Clean, friendly host, private, safe, and well stocked. The only thing we missed with young children was night lights! Otherwise, it's a great find and close to the dunes! We'll be back for sure.

Huckleberry House feels like a home away from home!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Huckleberry House. The house is beautiful and equipped with everything you could ever need. The neighborhood is so peaceful. We felt so comfortable there. We definitely will book here again next time we come to the area. The beaches and ocean and forest are so close. The house suited us well as we were here for our daughter’s wedding. We were able to host our in-laws for a bbq and everyone had a good time.

Quiet and enjoyable property

This property was clean, quiet and we found the listing accurate as well. About the only criticism would be the busy season maintenance challenges such as dead batteries in most of the remotes, burnt out lights, no laundry detergent, etc. We have been renting Florence homes on Vrbo since 2010 and overall this was one of the better kept properties; we would certainly stay here again.

The location of this home is in a very beautiful forested area. Quiet, peaceful and wildlife all around. Although the stay was pretty average, I would definitely point out that you should plan to bring all amenities with you. When we arrived the house was okay but didn't seem freshly cleaned. I cleaned all the kitchen counter tops and found sticky residue on a lot of areas. There was no dish soap, 1 bottle of have soap in 1 of the 3 bathrooms, no laundry detergent (they ask you to start a load veggie you leave), no paper towels and no toilet paper. We did reach out to the company but they conveniently close at 4pm and check-in isn't until 4pm. So after an hour of waiting to hear back we went to the store and purchased all these items ourselves. We did leave behind extra hand soap bottles, toilet paper and paper towels when we left. Another thing to note is that wildlife gets into the garbage every single night and drags garbage throughout the backyard. With it occurring every night I'm not sure why a solution hasn't been put in place yet. We did hear back 4 hrs after contacting the company and they offered to have someone come by in the morning but since we already purchased everything we told them we were ok at that point. They also did come by right away and clean up the majority of the garbage that was strewn across the backyard upon our arrival. Overall, the stay was ok but there are definitely areas for improvement.

Hello Kathi, we do strive to make sure our guests have a starter of everything they need and I do apologize that that was not the case here. And the garbage situation was because the bears seem to like the garbage a lot and they had broken the latch on the bear proof can, those have since been replaced. We do hope that you will come back to visit and give us another shot and we will make sure that we have made improvements.

Gorgeous House

We loved staying in the Huckleberry House for ten days. It was perfect-spacious, clean, had lush bedding, and a lovely yard. It had a "wow" factor when we walked in. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was soft/plush. The kitchen was well stocked for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you wanted to make some meals at "home". Everything was high end. We liked using the fire pit in the backyard and looked up at the bright stars in the dark night sky. The bathtub was so soothing to be in, and the water so hot and nice to soak in. There were soft throw blankets to be cozy with on the couch. We felt like royalty staying there and would stay again in a heartbeat. We highly recommend this place to anyone, especially families. It was perfect and all we had hoped for!
