Great family weekend

We loved the old world charm of both houses. Lots of space for us and 5 married kids and their kids. Not too far from many different activities and we even got to see a parade. Staff was prompt to reply with any requests or issues.

Both houses were beautiful, cozy and comfortable.

We rented Bee's Knees, 2 side by side homes. They were so beautiful and decorated so nicely. The location was perfect. Comfortable beds and great kitchen made our stay really nice. The few minor issues we had were promptly taken care of for us.

Perfect stay

A great venue for an extended family get together. Plenty of sleeping and gathering space for our family reunion of 14 people ages 10 through 80+. The pool, hot tub, and game room were great for the kids (and adults), and the screened in porch was a favorite spot for grandparents.

Loved it!

Our family used both houses and loved our stay. The host was incredibly responsive - quick and helpful - before we arrived AND during our stay. We had adults, kids, and infants, and the house was perfect for everyone. The pool, game room, and sun room were especially big hits with our family!

Wonderful place for families to spend time together!

What a wonderful place for our families to meet and spend time together! The houses were immaculate, beautifully and thoughtfully decorated, and had modern updates while keeping the old charm. The amenities, like the pool and game room, kept all our kids entertained. Location was great for convenience to local eats. Our hosts were great with communication and even provided little extras. This property met and exceeded all our expectations!

Bee’s Knees Weekend

We rented for a Bach weekend and we would absolutely rent again! The hosts were great with communication and had the cutest gifts for us upon arrival. The houses are beautiful and we were so happy with how big the pool was for a large group. Parking was not a problem at all for 6 cars in the driveways (3). Overall, definitely worth it and not far from wineries with the shuttles (set up beforehand)

We spent 4th of July weekend here with extended family and the house was amazing to accommodate a large group. The pool and game room made entertaining very fun. The owners were very responsive. There are some general maintenance things that should be fixed before the next guests stay at this home. Specifically, the fridge in Mill Haus was unable to get very cool. The other thing we encountered was a terrible smell in the upstairs bedroom, which we later found 3 large dead bats in a bat trap under a drawer. Given the significant price we paid for the home (holiday premium), we had hoped the owners would offer some sort of refund for the inconvenience which they did not.

Family gathering

The set up of the 2 homes is perfect! The hosts thought of everything, from kitchen utensils to the pool table in the game room! They were quick to respond to our questions. The pool was an hit and did not disappoint! Our guests ranged in age 3-68 and the homes were perfect. Enough room for all. The location is perfect as well. We could walk downtown for brunch or ice cream, or even to sit by the river. We’ll be back! Thank you for allowing us to stay in you homes!

Wonderful Stay!

We (there were 10) had a wonderful stay at the Bees Knees. The houses were absolutely beautiful and very spacious. The extra touches such as the wine and charcuterie boards were very much appreciated. The owners were great to work with. We arrived by train and asked for a spot to store our luggage and they were extremely accommodating. They even moved all of our bags into the house when it started to rain. They were extremely responsive. We made a request about the pool and within 30 minutes someone was there to help us out. Our group loved our time there and would definitely like to enjoy these spaces again.

So much fun!

We had a group of 15 (6 adults, 9 kids) that stayed at the Missouri Haus. To say we had a blast is an understatement! Between the pool and the game room, we always had something to do. The houses were so beautiful and well cared for. It was lovely to see the history of the home preserved, while also having modern amenities. The screened-in porch was such a great bonus to have for us adults while the kids hung out in the pool. The list goes on and on. Nat and Tyann were such great hosts. They were very informative and great with communication through the entirety of our trip. Any questions I had during our stay were answered quickly with a text or phone call. I felt like they genuinely cared about our experience during our stay and wanted it to be the best! This home really is all that you see online and more. We loved our stay and made so many memories. We would 100% go back and stay again. You won’t regret it!

The perfect home for our wedding weekend

We feel incredibly lucky that we found Bee's Knees for our wedding weekend! I honestly felt like I had looked at every vacation home within five hours of St. Louis while trying to find the right place for our immediate family, and Bee's Knees was the only property that checked every box. We needed a home within easy driving distance of St. Louis that could comfortably accommodate 12 adults, welcome pets, be beautifully decorated, and still feel special enough for such an important weekend. Bee's Knees met all those needs and then exceeded them. The pool and hot tub were an especially wonderful bonus and made the stay feel like a true getaway. The home itself is simply beautiful. We loved the decor and all the vintage elements, which fit so perfectly with the aesthetic and feeling of our wedding that it really felt like the house was "us." I looked at so many other properties, and none had the same combination of style, warmth, and personality. It was also one of the most affordable options we found, which made us feel even luckier to have discovered it. We also loved the location. Washington is more rural than other locations we considered, but there was so much to do nearby, especially with all the wineries, farms, and other attractions. At the same time, having everyday conveniences like Walmart and Target nearby made the location incredibly practical. We were also so impressed by how professional and thoughtful the experience was from start to finish. Even though Bee's Knees is family-owned, all of the communication leading up to our stay and throughout our time at the house was incredibly organized, responsive, and professional. It made everything feel easy and took one less thing off our list during an already busy weekend. Most importantly, Bee's Knees gave us a beautiful place to gather with our family and make memories during such a meaningful weekend. We would absolutely love to return someday and relive a little bit of our wedding weekend here. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect home for the occasion. Thank you!

Two lovely turn-of-the-century bricks with modern comforts (AC! Pool! Contemporary kitchens!) in a delightful small town on the Missouri River. Don't miss the bookstore, the Mosaic Cafe, and the many parks and playgrounds in this leafy green spot near country wineries...

Family Reunion

We had an awesome time at the Missouri Haus. Grandparents, kids and spouses, and 6 grandkids, a total of 17, descended upon the two houses onSaturday . Everything was perfect. The houses were comfortably furnished. Them bedrooms spacious and beds comfy. The house stayed cool in the incredible heat but we used the pool to cool off and play together. The bonus Game room was our go-to after dinner . We played pool, shuffleboard, cards, and games. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and barbecue grill and had all the necessary tools and kitchen gadgets we needed The location proved to be convenient too. We walked to the coffee shops and used the library often. A great little meat market called Williams Brothers turned out to be one of our favorite places. Angelina’s Italian deli was delightful. We will definitely book again next year. We all had a wonderful and memorable week. Thanks, Nate and Tyann for the great welcome treats. We certainly enjoyed them! Very thoughtful! Linda Brown.
