Beautiful home with spectacular views. We had three couples visiting some former co workers living in the UP. Each bedroom is ensuite which was great. There is not a bad bedroom/bathroom in the house. Plenty of room to spread out, so no one was crowded. We hosted two dinners there and seated eight people comfortably. The kitchen is easy to work in and was very well stocked. The beach is gorgeous, all sand. We definitely recommend this property and hope to return next year!

The location is awesome, the sandy beach was wonderful and we spent a lot of time there. The house is basically clean, it needs a little deep cleaning, especially ceiling fans, oven and the corners. The showers were a little low for most of us, the glass block entry to the one shower needs to be revised, it's a bit difficult to step into. We liked the ping pong, had lots of fun out in the garage playing. It was quite warm while we were there, I really missed having air conditioning! It did cool down nice at night thankfully. All in all, it is a great place, I would recommend it, just wanted to point out what we felt could use some attention.

Gorgeous Beachfront Cottage

Clean and beautiful place. Wonderful spot right on Lake Huron beach. Lots of eagles and freighters. We had a great stay.

Great place!

Our stay was wonderful! It is a great space filled with relaxing views of the beach. The beach was very private and we enjoyed the opportunity to use the kayaks. It is a very peaceful property and enjoyed hearing the waves at night as well as the loons in the morning! Would definitely stay here again!

Dunham vacation

We enjoyed our stay very much, the beach house was very clean and spacious. Lots of room for everyone. Had lots of fun at the beach during the day, kayaking, swimming playing games. At night enjoyed playing games with the grandkids. Took some day trips to Mackinaw which was nice. Husband and son and grandson went on a fishing trip guide which they enjoyed very much. This was a great week.

Amazing

We had 2 families and grandma on a trip to the UP. This home is amazing. Plenty of room, blankets, amenities... and the Private beach is something special. Have a fire on the beach while the kids play. There is a sand bar that keeps it somewhat shallow, so it always felt safe.Communication was great. We would 100% stay here again if the opportunity arose.

Great House Spectacular Spot

I've stayed in quite a few different rental houses, and I can say that this one is absolutely top notch, right down to the quite nice kitchenware. It was spotless when we arrived. The layout was comfortable for three generations (including three families). Perhaps most remarkable of all was the spot, which is simply stunning. Finally, the hosts were great communicators, from before our arrival to our time of departure. Highly recommended!

Our family of ten included two aging grandparents, four adults in our 40s, and four kids ages 7-11. We had so much room to spread out and the kids absolutely loved “kayaking” in the tidal pool. We were only ten minutes from the ferry to take us to Drummond Island, and we loved the peace and solitude the property offered. Just a note to anyone bringing children who might be planning on letting them sleep in the loft: the loft is above the garage which is separate from the main house. We didn’t realize this and we were apprehensive. If they had been younger, we probably would not have been okay with them sleeping there. However, at their ages they were ok. We did end up hanging black garbage bags on the skylights in the loft because it stayed so bright even into the night, and if you have younger kids you know how that can be when they’re already fighting bedtime! The property had ample towels, dishes, blankets, beach towels, and more. Overall, it was a wonderful stay!

Amazing Beach

We enjoyed our weeklong stay in the rental. We had multiple families with children and the fit and function of the house worked well for us. The ping-pong table in the garage was a nice surprise. The beach is phenomenal! It is very sandy and huge. The water is shallow with a sandy bottom. Perfect for smaller children. There is also a fire pit with chairs on the beach. Highly recommended.

The house was amazing! The space was great! We absolutely loved the beach and lived on it most days. The views were very ocean-y and serene! The house was equipped with anything we needed and more. There were so many places for the kids to play or for someone to sit and read with a view! We have stayed in many places in Cedarville and took and chance with this rental that was a little further from our usual, but we found it to be so relaxing and fun we didn’t venture out as much as we usually do. It’s about 15 minutes from Cedarville to shop and eat or 10 minutes from DeTour to play pickleball. It was an absolute joy of a week and can’t wait to come back!!

Another Wonderful Week

This was our 2nd summer spending a week at SandSwept. Ages 70 to 12. Like last year, all was as we wanted it. Swimming was part of our daily routine. Quiet, clean, well supplied, well placed, and within driving distance of SO many things. Not a thing was missing. Dig back to last years review. It couldn't have been better either year.

Wonderful Quiet Family Vacation

This property is beautiful. It has a loft above the garage where the two older kids played for hours! The garage is set up with a ping pong table and is very spacious. The two year old just ran around in circles kicking a ball :). The beach is amazing! Soft sand and you can walk for quite a distance. This is a quiet vacation in the sense that most of our time was spent at the house or on the beach. We had a wonderful time and communication with the owner was EXCELLENT! Very response to questions we had.

A little slice of Michigan Heaven

We truly enjoyed our stay. We are have stayed at many Michigan beach homes and this one has been our favorite so far. The beach is perfect. Both the kids and adults loved floating in the water, playing in the sand, and splashing in the little stream that flows into the lake. The interior of the house was very clean and spacious and the homes layout was ideal for our group. Our kids (4,7, and 8 years old) had space to run around and loved the spacious area in the garage and the loft above it.this property had a large kitchen/dining room area and worked well for family meals. The deck/ gazebo, and beach fire pit were well used and we enjoyed adventuring out on the kayaks.We found ourselves cancelling our plans to explore the local area because we enjoyed this space so much. We loved our time so much we booked a week for next summer before we even left.

North Shore of L. Huron

As we told anyone that asked where we were going, this place is "Across the Bridge, and to the right." In our circle, it's not a well known destination, but this is a real gem. Our summer lake experience has several 'wants' and this VRBO checked all of our boxes. All 3 generations had plenty of opportunity for lake watching, freighter spotting, swimming, kayaking, sand sculpture, games of all sorts, physical (ping pong, corn hole, etc.) as well as board and card, reading, birding, snoozing, star gazing, cooking and eating, checking out local places, and general goofing. Very well appointed, stocked, and clean. Things went so well we didn't need to contact the owners, but felt that they were handy in case. 5 Stars all around.

Beautiful location - hard to find at night

The rental was beautiful and very spacious. It was just my husband and 8 year old son so we had plenty of room. Everything you could possibly need is there. Get groceries on way in because the nearest Meijer (which is your best bet) is about 40 minutes away. It was very peaceful while we were there. I loved the quiet. We had lots of family time. :) lots of walks on the beach with my little guy. Couldn’t have asked for more.

The PERFECT getaway!

The views cannot be beat! The house is immaculate. Quiet little getaway. Thank you for all the attention to detail - it made our stay a breeze. We traveled all the way from Florida, but we are already hoping to make it back!

Perfect!

Couldn't ask for much more in a rental property. Family trip to the UP for a week. Great location, property, amenities; close enough to be a 'base-camp' for further expeditions into the other parts of the UP, but still 'remote' enough to be on your own and not bothered by lots of neighbors/noise so you can do your own thing. Tons of space for a larger group and a massive beach area to enjoy. Property owners were great with communication and super friendly. Definitely a do-over.
