Récemment rénové! Maison toute l'année au bord du lac au bord de l'eau

Midcoast Maine - région de Camden / Rockland. Belle maison au bord du lac toute l'année avec grande terrasse et barbecue à gaz. Entièrement meublé. 2 chambres. La chambre principale a un lit queen size. Cuisine entièrement équipée et toutes les serviettes et les draps sont fournis. Chaloupe disponible, flotteur pour la baignade et la pêche. Emplacement très calme sur chemin privé.

Cette maison au bord du lac est sur South Pond à Warren, Maine. South Pond est un "étang" de 554 acres. Le camp Dobbins est situé au bord de l'eau avec une vue magnifique et le coucher du soleil! Il y a une rampe de bateau à proximité pour ceux qui souhaitent apporter leurs propres bateaux. Vous êtes parfaitement situé sur la Mid Coast, à seulement 15 minutes en voiture de la région de Camden / Rockland.

Plages en bord de mer et activités à proximité. Les activités saisonnières comprennent la chasse, la pêche, le patinage, le ski, la luge. Station de ski à Camden.

I stayed for a week at Camp Dobbins. Very charming place with wonderful hosts. Bass fishing was great on South Pond, especially for early September. Darryl and Vicki are very friendly and respectful of guest privacy. The neighboring houses are rather close, yet I had no issue with privacy. Highly recommended!

Wonderful property and area.

We liked that we could kayak right off the dock. The area was great for the areas we wanted to visit while in Maine. The small house was perfect for our use and had everything we needed. The owners were friendly and helped with any questions we had about area.

A home away from home

Our stay was just so incredible at Camp Dobbins. My fiance and I wanted a getaway from city life and we got so much more than that. It was really a home away from home where we got to cook, relax, and travel around to see the sights of Maine. Highly recommend!

Perfect for us! The owners were attentive to our needs but respected our privacy. Everything we needed was there. The fishing from the dock was great! Nice location and everything was nearby. Camden day trips, sailing, shopping, and sightseeing all just a few minutes away. Definitely recommend!

Anniversary Trip and Getaway

Hosts were great to work with. Cabin was clean and homey. Its location was great for making day trips to several different places. Only negative we experienced was the noise from next door neighbor’s place - a lot of visitors and a few loud drunks. Hosts can’t prevent that from happening though.

Owners very nice and dropped in to say hello and make sure we were good.

The house is cozy with an awesome view of the lake. Very quiet and just amazing. Some day i will come again in the summer with my water craft. The property has a dock and there is a ramp to the lake on site. I love it.

Vicki and Darryl have equipped their lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need. I was very comfortable there. It was the perfect place to get some solitude from the conference activities I was involved with. And the morning mist over the lake was sublime. Thank you Daryll and Vicki!

Beautiful cottage on the lake

Expect a pleasant stay at this lakeside cottage. Well equipped and picturesque views overlooking the tranquil lake. Very quiet getaway. Central Maine location provided easy access to many points of interest throughout the state. Single bathroom was a struggle for four adults, especially due to its location. Central AC would have been a plus for the hot days of summer, but the extra floor fans made it bearable until the heatwave subsided. We would stay here again.

Hi Jeff, Thank you for your visit, we enjoyed having you. I’m sure it was hard with two adult daughters and only one bathroom! You were here at the end of our very hot spell. As for central air, that’s a hard call. There has never been a need for it in Maine, especially on the lake where we get such a nice breeze. But our weather is changing, even our winters are getting warmer!

A wonderful week

Camp Dobbins is delightful. Right on South Pond, the swimming, paddling, and just watching the light change over the water from the deck were incredible. The house is comfy and rustic and had everything we needed. Vicki and Darryl are wonderful hosts. And a very sweet neighborhood cat came and hung out with us throughout the week. He was not listed as an amenity but he should be. We will be back.

Several weeks stay

Wonderful hosts. This comfortable cottage on the water had everything we needed for a comfortable extended stay. The location is quaint, the view gorgeous! Our host was easy to communicate with. Greeted us upon arrival and provided a short tour and explanation of the home, amenities and local area. Parking is one car only, we had two cars and managed the short walk for the second car with no issues. Even on a rainy day! Thanks again for sharing this gem with us. I will certainly recommend to friends and family.

Brown Tail Moth Haven

So much to like here, but our stay was pretty much ruined by the brown tail moth infestation in the nearby trees. In addition to causing intense itching, their presence prevented me from enjoying the lovely deck. Friends chose not to visit because of them. Had the owners informed us of such, and that they had not had trees sprayed, we would not have booked this property.

Hi Mary. We did enjoy having you visit. But as we discussed, you had the rash when you came, you showed it to me. We have had no one else come down with the rash all year, so there was nothing to tell you in advance. We did spray and pressure wash the deck and all the furniture when you left, just in case the hairs came while you were here. We’re very sorry you were not able to enjoy your vacation, that’s what we want for all our guests. As an update to this review, we are now well into September and have had guests every week, all summer long. All have enjoyed the deck and the wonderful sunsets, and none of them have gotten a Brown Tail Moth rash.

This place was misrepresented. The dock is not as pictured on the site. Instead, the steps leading to the water have deteriorated and the dock has been replaced with a wooden ramp set at a dangerous tilt leading to a floating platform that lacks a ladder, making it dangerous to get to the water and difficult to get out of it. The outdoor deck was shaded by trees and had potential, but too often the peace and quiet was disturbed by the next-door neighbor Renee who sat outside talking very loudly for hours at a time. Unpleasant to be subjected to this. On several days during our stay this neighbor hosted groups of children who yelled and shrieked for hours as they played on floating toys. Too close, too loud. We mentioned this to the owner (who lives next door on the other side) and the response was “Oh, everyone complains about her. She doesn’t listen to me. Maybe you could go and speak to her.” Really? Suggesting that a renter on vacation confront a neighbor? The owners are aware that it’s not a quiet situation.The place is unsuitable for more than one couple because the only bathroom is outside one of the bedrooms. The second bedroom lacks a window for fresh air. The decor is cluttered with many fake flower arrangements and figurines, leaving few surfaces for a guest’s use. This community may be nice for residents (when the loud neighbor is at work) but it’s not good for renters who want peace and quiet and safe access to water that was advertised as a feature.

Very enjoyable.

We were first here in 2012. Since then, we had tried different places and can honestly say this is the finest all around by far....fishing, view, clean, hosts are great and accomodating. We are glad we came back this year and hope to be back next year.

Perfect summer lake house!

The house is exceptionally clean and very well stocked. The large deck overlooking the pond is perfect for relaxing and outdoor dining. Beds were extremely comfortable. We brought our boat and tied up at their private dock, enjoyed sunset cruising and some fishing. Darryl and Vicki were very cordial and informative about the area. Overall great experience!

Great experience

The location is awesome. It is so close to the water, it almost seemed like we were staying on a boat. The bed was very comfortable. The rest of the house had everything we needed. There is a great variety of books in the house for people that want to sit lakeside and read. I was a little intimidated by the one way camp road and tight parking, but I did find good places for turning around a vehicle, even a four door F150.
