Centrally located "Bargara Beach Cottage"

Come and stay in one of Bargaras’ original beach cottages. Built in the 1950s, the cottage has recently been lovingly restored to its former charm. The cottage is perfectly situated and only 400m to the Bargara Beach Hotel, shops and cafes; 500m to the main beach; 400m to supermarkets and other amenities; 200m to the Bowls Club and across the road from the Bargara Golf Course! The house is fully set up to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable . Pets welcome!

Bargara is a small seaside town located in the Bundaberg Region, Queensland Australia. It is a 15 minute drive from central Bundaberg, a 20 minute drive from the Bundaberg Regional Airport and 4 1/2 hours drive from Brisbane. The region is best known for its sugar cane harvesting, fresh produce “fruit bowl”, Bundaberg Rum distillery and tours, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks and the world-famous Mon Repos turtle rookery (nesting and hatching between December to March). Being situated at the southern part of the Great Barrier Reef there are also day tours available to the unique coral cay islands of Lady Musgrave and Lady Elliot.

Bargara Beach Cottage has all the amenities you will need to make your stay comfortable. There is a large deck and grassed area in the front and back of the house with a Weber BBQ and sitting areas to relax. The kitchen has all the mod cons with electric stove top, wall mounted oven, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. The cottage sleeps 6 and has 3 bedrooms with comfortable bedding (1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Singles), a study, comfortable lounge room and dining area, which seats 8, fully equipped laundry and bathroom. The house is suitable for families and couples.

You have access to the entire house! Beach toys, board games, books, Netflix, WIFI etc are all included. We are also very happy to provide assistance with local knowledge. Does not include a lockable garage.

Great spot for a family with plenty of room and a well appointed kitchen. The back deck was nice in the afternoon for a drink or chilling out in the evening. Walking distance to shops, restaurants, takeaways and coffee, which is perfect if you want to have a cheeky beer at lunch and not have worry about who is driving home!

Pet Friendly stays

A great place to take the fur babies for a couple of days. Fully fenced large yard is ideal. House is very comfortable and very well equipped - better equipped than any other place I have stayed. Location is not waterfront but is very convenient for all activities.

Bargara Beach Cottage

Jan has done a wonderful job in decorating the property, it is modern and tasteful with amenities that made it feel like a home away from home. Plenty of space for everyone to find a corner to relax.

A short Interlude

My husband and I came up to see the turtles but unfortunately there was a cyclone out to sea and the turtle experience was cancelled. The three bedroom cottage was very accessible to Bargara village. It has everything we needed for a perfect, comfotable stay.

We stayed 3 nights but wished we had longer. The home was beautifully presented and a home away from home with every need fully catered. It is very conveniently located so everything was easily accessible on foot. Our active dog enjoyed the spacious yard. Highly recommended!

Bargara stay

Location was amazing! Check in was a little difficult as incorrect code was given but easy communication with owner allowed to get correct code. The house was very clean and spacious. Beautiful outdoor areas front and back to sit, listen to music and have a drink. Yard was perfect for dogs. Only inconvenience was the gardener arriving during our stay and needed access to the yard. Will definitely stay here again!

Our week at Bargara Beach Cottage was wonderful. Everything was thought of and it was like a home away from home. The position was wonderful in relation to shops and eateries. The place was spotlessly clean inside & out. One thing that often gets missed is the windows but not here, it makes all the difference letting in light & just making everything seem brighter. It was stocked with enough toilet paper, dishwashing tabs, laundry powder, salt & pepper for the entire 10 night stay. Even had a 1litre long life milk to start off with. It was styled beautifully, especially loved the cosy dining & lounge room & the outdoor seating area (also immaculate). Massive selection of glassware, dinnerware etc The yard was perfect for our dog. Enjoyed walking along Bargara esplanade & coffee at Ricks every morning. The bowls club was a favourite for well priced meals & drinks & Kacys was yum. All within easy walking distance.

The cottage was lovely, particular the outside area. A couple of times the rain gods visited us but it was okay as there was the outside area which was great for us as we could still play with our Labrador and not get wet.
