Suite 115 - 1BR King Apartment | 1 Bed, 1 Bath

The old motor lodge re-invented! We recently took two hotel rooms and combined into one nice kitchenette suite. All new bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, lock system and furniture. Still has the old radiators and wall mounted AC units that we just couldn't find a way around, but they work great! An excellent base camp to enjoy the Black Hills and Badlands. Owners are avid hikers and mountain bikers who have lived in the area their entire lives. Happy to help get you pointed in the right direction.

The Sojourn Vacation Rentals and Flats offers modern, fully furnished flats in Rapid City, SD. Rooms include a kitchen with a full refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and dishwasher. They also include a living space and private bedroom. There is a patio available for guest’s relaxation and enjoyment.

The Sojourn is conveniently located for travelers looking to visit Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Sturgis, and more. This property is nonsmoking and no pets.

The kitchenettes are perfect for the vacationer or longer term out of town employee who needs some local housing. Located on Mt. Rushmore Road. 1.5 miles to downtown Rapid City, 26 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Local hiking and biking trail heads as close as .5 miles from property. Great selection of restaurants and stores in walking distance. .75 miles from Rapid City Regional Hospital.

We use the KeyCafe automated check in system so you can arrive anytime after 3pm.  The booking code and instructions will be sent via txt and email on the day of arrival.  Of course, we are happy to assist!  If we aren't on the property when you arrive we are near by.

We were in the area for medical tests and it was nicer to stay here than be in a motel. We could ficx some meals but also walk to nearby restaurants.

It was the perfect place for us to see all the National Parks around the area. We appreciated the kitchenette and full size refrigerator to pack lunches and have breakfast. Check in and out so easy! Would recommend!

Clean and great location for everything Black Hills related. Bed pillows could use some work, had to go to Target and buy a pillow to get some rest. Other than that, worked out well.

Tub did not drain well at all leaving you standing in dirty water. AC did not cool the bedroom at all leaving it too hot to sleep comfortably. Fix those two issues and 5 star all the way.Rated communication with management low as I did not have to communicate with management.

Our room at The Sojourn was perfect. It was clear that the bones of the place are an old motel, but the updates that have been done are great and we never once felt like we were staying in an outdated lodging. The kitchen is bare-bones, but it's more than sufficient for making a meal or two if you're staying for a week or less (we stayed for three nights). The bed was extremely comfortable, though I will say the pillows are a bit tiny, but that is a real nitpick. At the end of the day, if you're traveling to this part of the country, you're doing so to get outside and enjoy nature, not to enjoy your hotel room. As long as you're not expecting peak luxury, The Sojourn is perfect for recovering and and relaxing after some hard hikes.

Excellent value Perfect location

Central location to all of the sites we wanted to visit.- perfect for our launching point for the days adventures. Secure & safe location in the city. Property managers friendly, from the area and open to helping us. This was a "home away from home" - able to cook & even use outside grill for meals. Very reasonable.

Rapid City reset

We enjoyed our stay at the Sojourn in Rapid City. The location was about a mile away from The Monument where our event was held. Easy to get to and close to other attractions, right on the road to Mt. Rushmore. Clean, newly renovated with plenty of space. Only downside was we had to purchase a small portable fan because the A/C was in the other room. The fan helped push the cool air into the bedroom. Would definitely stay here again!

Nice

Excellent overall stay. The only downside was that the physical address to the location was difficult to find. And final directions on how to get the key is not sent until the morning of arrival. Since we were traveling and did not have internet this created a problem. Otherwise, the place was very clean and included everything we needed. We would stay again and encourage others to do so as well.
