We only allow dogs in our pet friendly rooms. One dog is free, but the second is an additional $25 one time. Please let us know if you are bringing a second dog.

The old motor lodge re-invented! We recently took two hotel rooms and combined into one nice kitchenette suite. All new bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, lock system and furniture. Still has the old radiators and wall mounted AC units that we just couldn't find a way around, but they work great! An excellent base camp to enjoy the Black Hills and Badlands. Owners are avid hikers and mountain bikers who have lived in the area their entire lives. Happy to help get you pointed in the right direction.

The Sojourn Vacation Rentals and Flats offers modern, fully furnished flats in Rapid City, SD. Rooms include a kitchen with a full refrigerator, microwave, cooktop and dishwasher. They also include a living space and private bedroom. There is a patio available for guest’s relaxation and enjoyment.

The Sojourn is conveniently located for travelers looking to visit Mt. Rushmore, the Black Hills, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, Sturgis, and more. This property is nonsmoking.

The kitchenettes are perfect for the vacationer or longer term out of town employee who needs some local housing. Located on Mt. Rushmore Road. 1.5 miles to downtown Rapid City, 26 miles to Mt. Rushmore. Local hiking and biking trail heads as close as .5 miles from property. Great selection of restaurants and stores in walking distance. .75 miles from Rapid City Regional Hospital.

This unit can accomodate one dog - the type of dog that doesn't mind being in an apartment!

Great place family vacation

We were very happy with the room my only suggestion to have a oscillating fan for the bedroom. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends/family to stay.

The overall property was very good. Good location to visit all the sights with access to many places to eat. Only complaint was that the AC did not cool enough in the bedroom for are liking.

Awesome place to stay! Close to so many things, we wish we’d planned for additional nights. Communication with the owner was excellent, personable and easy to follow. The room was clean and cozy with lots of little things that made it extra great. We’ll defiantly stop here again!

Just what we needed

This VRBO was exactly what we needed. Pet friendly and centrally located. We loved that there was a kitchenette and living room area along with the bedroom area. We enjoyed being able to walk to local businesses for our meals as well as the close proximity to hiking, the grocery store, etc. The VRBO is fully stocked with everything you need for the weekend. Towels, soap, kitchen utinsels, etc. We would definitely stay again.

Nice Choice in Rapid City

We really enjoyed the unit and our time in Rapid City. A couple of suggestions: (i) A toaster would be nice. A rental option such as the Sojourn appears to comtemplate affording users the option to eat breakfast “in” and a toaster would enhance the experience. (ii) Appreciated the AC in the living room / kitchen but man is it loud! Despite approaching 100 degrees F outside, sleeping was comfortable. (Iiii) Sofa ia a quite saggy. As the only other sitting option is a bar stool, my poor back didn’t like the sitting choices. Overall, we enjoyed your facility and would stay again and recommend to friends.
