We had a blast on our trip! This place has wonderful amenities, a beautiful yard, fantastic dock, and is peaceful. Everything was clean and we had plenty of room inside and outside. I highly recommend you adding this to your must stay list!

We had a little challenge with finding the location, but once we got in, we had an excellent experience. The kitchen was fully stocked. The bathrooms were spacious. The porch was amazing, as were the views of the lake. The boathouse and dock were a huge hit with our grandsons (and the entire family). They swam, fished, and kayaked all day and evening. We highly recommend the location for a great lakeside experience.

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was perfect for us. We loved hanging in the boathouse and kayaking on the lake. Very peaceful and quiet.No road noise. Cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed.

Great place for some weekend fishing

Very clean, my family and our Great Dane had a blast fishing and kayaking before our boys went back to school.

Great Weekend for the Family

We booked last minute for a quick getaway from the city. It was everything we needed! The property has everything an outdoorsy family needs! We fished most of the day Saturday. I taught my younger son how to use the kayak, which was a memorable experience! The sunset on the lake was magical! We will definitely consider coming back for a longer time! The dirt roads leading to the lake were a surprise, but it was worth it!

Summer getaway

Great cottage with so many fun activities. Boathouse and pier were big hit allowing fishing and kayaking. Lots of perch & kids enjoyed.

Relaxing

Nice & secluded. Amazing view and very relaxing, especially fishing on the dock. Recommend bringing all your food & drinks with you on day one, because once you're there, you don't want to leave.

Great Thanksgiving Getaway

My boys and I had a great time at this lakeside cabin over Thanksgiving. It was very restful and beautiful. The sunsets on the lake were incredible. Unfortunately the fish weren’t biting but we went kayaking a few times, had a couple bonfires and just enjoyed time together.

Amazing, Relaxing, and memorable

This property was amazing!!! We had such an amazing time our 7year old did not wanna leave. The location and views were stunning. We could sit on that front porch and have our coffee every morning and never get tired of the view. Can’t wait to book again in a few months!!!!

A Great Place to Relax and Ed is a Fantastic Host!

There was a bit of a mix up on our end but Ed was so helpful and so kind in getting us straightened out!The house itself was clean and well-maintained and the property is a great spot for relaxing!The boat house in particular was a big hit with the kids with all of the windows looking out onto the water!We'll have to come back at a sunnier time so we can enjoy the kayaks!

Everything about our stay was perfect! The house and the grounds are better than described and the communication with the host couldn’t be easier. An ideal location for a meet in the middle rendezvous between Houston and Dallas.

A Jewel on Houston County Lake

The spot on the lake is serene and peaceful. The house is comfortable and is stocked with all you need to enjoy your stay. This VRBO is a home away from home, perfect for relaxing, fishing off the pier, kayaking, all around “down” time with family.

Lakehouse

The house and property were very nice! It was very quiet and peaceful out there. The house was clean and well maintained. It was really nice being able to have kayaks to use also!
