Old style beach shack perfect for lazy summer days, 8 min walk to cafes/beach in quiet street. It has 2 bedrooms, sleeping 5 people (1xQueen, 1xSngl, 1xDbl bunk). There is a 2nd bathroom/laundry outside. There's wifi, high def TV with Chromecast, board games, books & push bikes. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans & utensils, coffee pot and juicer. No dishwasher. There are fans (no a/c) in all rooms, plus seabreazes. The house has stairs and is not suitable for disabled or infirm people. Pets allowed in the yard, not on any furniture or in the bathrooms.

Host communication was great, property is homely but could do with some basic TLC/maintenance (for example the front gate or shower screen) that would make the stay easier/trouble free

A back door that could only be unlocked from outside. Severe fire hazard. Shower doors that fell off when you tried to shower. Bikes and helmets in garage rusted as well as the electric door, having to cross your fingers it would open and shut. Never in all the stays I've had on the Coast have I been asked to sweep or vacuum the house on leaving. Needs a serious clean and repair inside and out. Would not recommend to anyone and definitely won't be back. Photos on line don't show exactly what the place looks like, they are old photos.. Comes down to you get what you pay for.

Quaint Beach Shack

Our stay was very comfortable, the Shack was as described, well located, quite and had all we needed. Our host provided lots of information, making entry and our stay at the property very easy. I would be happy to recommend this property for a stay at Moffat Beach.

A quaint beach shack that suited our purposes perfectly. Great location, quite and welcoming. The property is older, however this did not distract from the enjoyment of our stay. The wifi is excellent allowing us to work from home, which was important. Our host provided all the necessary information to ensure our stat was comfortable. We would recommend the Moffat Beach Shack to those looking for a pet friendly stay.

An excellent old style beach holiday house. Secure parking w remote controlled door. Sea breezes 24/7. Ppl w mobility issues , or young kids would need a car to get to the beach / shops. It was quiet w all amenities. A few sticky doors n drawers but nothing of major concern. Communication w the manager (Martin)was excellent.

Perfect little beach shack

We had a great stay at ‘the beach shack’. The house was exactly as described and check in was simple with Martin being an excellent host. It is surprisingly large and the beds were comfortable. The house had all the little extras to make a stay simple and seamless ( toiletries, basic pantry items and some bikes). Location was fantastic and the pricing was very fair. Would definitely recommend!

Location, location

The location to the beach is amazing. The house was old and in need of a decent clean. The deck out the back is not safe for a young family. We couldn’t use the carport as it wouldn’t open. House has all you need but could do with some work. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it.

Terrific location. The house is comfortable & has everything you need but nothing fancy. Martin was a great host. If on a budget & in need of a getaway this is a great option. Dog friendly which was a winner too.

Comfortable Family Accommodation

The accommodation was perfect for our family including two young children. It was handy having the extra living space outside for additional family who travelled with us. The location is great and within walking distance to Moffat beach and an easy drive to the nearest shopping center. Martin was a great host and very responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

We enjoyed the area and access to beach and sitting on deck and the house grew on us, 

However
.. a number of safety issues need to be addressed
. There was no gate across the steps going from deck down to ground below
 the shower doors were unsafe with no runners along the bottom of the shower , door could easily pulled off top runners,even with just closing shower door normally, especially a child could easily pull shower door off 
 bathroom and 2nd bedroom door had no bottom tracks either so the doors had nothing to run along and could be pushed inwards and then come back and hit someone. There should be reflective tape on the step down as u come out front door. ,possibly even on the two steps down from garage
these are all basic safety issues . Pets are ONLY welcome if they are LEFTOUTSIDE but it doesn’t say that in original promo. Most people have inside pets when travelling. The house is clean but not COVID clean as stated, in information sent
.wooden blinds slats are all covered in dust 
 Otherwise a pleasant stay, wonderful bakery just down Buccleugh Street..I assume owner lives in house when not ket out

Nice beach cottage in quiet neighborhood near beach

Well appointed beach cottage near beach and restaurants/cafes. Kitchen has all appliances desired, though no dishwasher. Two bedrooms in house sleep five easily. Sleep-out is a bit more rustic, great for teens/young adults. Two old bikes were much appreciated. Lovely small front and large back deck/patio. Detailed instructions and communications from owner.

I love the beach but love a place to stay that has basic needs and places to eat and drink. My place is pet friendly and sleeps 7. I provide free wifi 25mbps which is enough for my wife and I to work from home and use streaming content services.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

My house is in a quiet street, 2 blocks back and about a 7 minute stroll down to the bars and cafes that front Moffat Beach. It's a basic beach shack, I get it professionally cleaned. You will have a kitchen that is well stocked with utensils and all the basic needs except a/c and dishwasher. There's plenty of seabreezes.
