The guest house was well stocked and lovely for our getaway weekend. It kept us warm during the chilly winter, and there was even a couple of great board games to wind the night down with. The view was exceptional in the morning, even in the winter! Al was a lovely host and checled in on us to make sure we had a comfortable stay with absolutely no problems. Very attentive host that cares for his guests. Would definitely come back during the summer!!

We had a great stay at Al's place. An easy drive to New London and Mystic. Very comfortable and stocked with lots of extras. We will definitely book again if we come back to this area!

The guest house was lovely. The furnishings comfortable and while it wasn’t a full kitchen, it was quite a functional kitchen. The views were spectacular! The host was gracious and very helpful. Located near New London and near Casinos which had great restaurants. If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful retreat spot, this is the place for you!

Beautiful location

We had a great time. Very nice location with lots to do withing 30 minutes. Did the casinos and mystic and do not miss out on Pauls Pasta restaurant.

Beautiful location

We loved our trip. The cottage is beautifully done and the views incredible. We appreciated the hospitality extended by our host (and Nico the dog!) and enjoyed exploring the nearby woodland. Our kids are already asking if we can go back and visit again.

Wonderful family stay!

We were in town for a volleyball tournament for our daughter and had an amazing stay. It was so easy. Al is a wonderful proprietor. The refrigerator is stocked with basics so you don't have to bring everything. The setting is stunning and the pool was fun :) Highly recommend!

Al was a fantastic host and the accommodations were just as described. Off the beaten path but still close to restaurants. We had planned on staying in Mystic but are glad we chose Al’s beautiful guest house.

Wonderful location giving the most relaxed experience. Host Al very friendly and helpful. Bedding and bathroom clean in the main. Kitchen had not been cleaned at all with grease and food debris evident. Multiple cobwebs particularly behind the 2 bedside cabinets. Property is looking tired now and needs some investment and a new cleaner!

What a wonderful time. Al the owner was such a nice kind man. You can tell he takes pride in his property . We totally enjoyed floating in the pool . Coffee in the morning on back deck. The views are spectacular. The house is clean and comfy . Its in a secluded area but close to main roads. Great lil getaway

Beautiful views - Very nice owners on property

This place is the owner's guest house and it is pet friendly. It is a beautiful property with a pool and terrific views of nature. The owners are super nice and live in the main house on the property. Everything was super clean and we enjoyed our long weekend there.

Relaxing and Beautiful

The guest house was cozy and well stocked. We had a great and relaxing stay. We didn't have great weather to enjoy it, but the deck and outdoor space were lovely, and the view was amazing. The host was very helpful and attentive.

I have stayed here before. Loved the private one-bedroom guest house with balcony overlooking the Connecticut countryside. Beautiful walking trails just down the road. Friendly resident dog on-site. A unique, private, relaxing place to stay.

lovely small house

This rental was decorated well and in beautiful condition. The owners live on-site in a gorgeous home. The beautiful view and pool are added features of this rental.. Everything I needed was there along with a gas grill to barbecue on.I am handicapped and didn't realize there was no close parking and there were stairs to go down to get to the home away from home but the owner helped me both times to carry in and out what I needed.

Home Rehab

Our floors were being refinished so we needed a place to stay for a week with our dog. The cottage was perfect for our needs, with plenty of space to walk our dog.

Quiet get away

Al was very polite and informative on the location. The detached house on the property is very nice and secluded. Being the property was on well water Al went a step above to make sure that he had supplied seperate drinking water which was nice. The property was very clean and tidy. Although we didnt get a chance to go in the pool due to weather it seemed like one of the best views to swim with. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet getaway thats about 10-20 minutes away from casino/aquarium fun!
