Amazing views

Very cozy and comfortable house. Has everything you would need. Spectacular deck with grille and comfortable chairs, countertop. Everything as described even better. Location is perfect for weekend getaway. House is amazing and equipped.

This property is a wonderful oasis. A sweet cabin in the woods. A bit rustic but with all the comforts needed. Very private and remote. Beautiful views and with an added bonus of a swimming pool! Gorgeous mountain views across the valley. The grounds on this property are beautifully kept.Al was a fantastic host and thought of everything we could need. He even brought us a pizza when we lost power for a little while right around dinner time. Very thoughtful and generous. Highly recommend this property. We would definitely book again when traveling to Connecticut in the future.

Home away from home with one major key asset: Allan, the host is a gem ; extremely welcoming, discreet, hands-on, friendly - very smart so will adapt to the guests. keeps the place a perfect spot to spend few days with family or friends away from the action of the city but very close by car. You are right in the middle of nature (great if you love it), with a wonderful view, an amazingly private large pool (never seen on any rentals before) and a comfortable guesthouse with all the basics you need. this is a no brainer. Thank you Allan for welcoming us and being such a great individual!

We had a great stay at Al's place. An easy drive to New London and Mystic. Very comfortable and stocked with lots of extras. We will definitely book again if we come back to this area!

Beautiful location

We had a great time. Very nice location with lots to do withing 30 minutes. Did the casinos and mystic and do not miss out on Pauls Pasta restaurant.

The guest house was well stocked and lovely for our getaway weekend. It kept us warm during the chilly winter, and there was even a couple of great board games to wind the night down with. The view was exceptional in the morning, even in the winter! Al was a lovely host and checled in on us to make sure we had a comfortable stay with absolutely no problems. Very attentive host that cares for his guests. Would definitely come back during the summer!!

Beautiful location

We loved our trip. The cottage is beautifully done and the views incredible. We appreciated the hospitality extended by our host (and Nico the dog!) and enjoyed exploring the nearby woodland. Our kids are already asking if we can go back and visit again.

Absolutely wonderful

Al was a fantastic host and the accommodations were just as described. Off the beaten path but still close to restaurants. We had planned on staying in Mystic but are glad we chose Al’s beautiful guest house.

Beautiful views - Very nice owners on property

This place is the owner's guest house and it is pet friendly. It is a beautiful property with a pool and terrific views of nature. The owners are super nice and live in the main house on the property. Everything was super clean and we enjoyed our long weekend there.

Relaxing and Beautiful

The guest house was cozy and well stocked. We had a great and relaxing stay. We didn't have great weather to enjoy it, but the deck and outdoor space were lovely, and the view was amazing. The host was very helpful and attentive.

Beauty and Comfort

The guest house was lovely. The furnishings comfortable and while it wasn’t a full kitchen, it was quite a functional kitchen. The views were spectacular! The host was gracious and very helpful. Located near New London and near Casinos which had great restaurants. If you are looking for a peaceful and beautiful retreat spot, this is the place for you!

Private guest house in a beautiful setting

I have stayed here before. Loved the private one-bedroom guest house with balcony overlooking the Connecticut countryside. Beautiful walking trails just down the road. Friendly resident dog on-site. A unique, private, relaxing place to stay.

Wonderful family stay!

We were in town for a volleyball tournament for our daughter and had an amazing stay. It was so easy. Al is a wonderful proprietor. The refrigerator is stocked with basics so you don't have to bring everything. The setting is stunning and the pool was fun :) Highly recommend!

We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. Everything was as represented, or better. Our host was helpful, thoughtful and very accommodating. We recommend this property to anyone wanting a true New England experience.

Home Rehab

Our floors were being refinished so we needed a place to stay for a week with our dog. The cottage was perfect for our needs, with plenty of space to walk our dog.

Had a great time! Would definitely come back. Beautiful, peaceful setting and Al was a wonderful host. We got to enjoy the pool and view and a great meal at Hell’s Kitchen at Foxwoods Casino only a half hour away. The remodeled stable/barn cottage is fabulous!

Great place - would definitely go back!

I am a single mom with an autistic child (9) and Al went out of his way to make us both feel so comfortable. To top it off - his place was beautiful! Great views very clean - very accommodating! Thank you so much!
