If you're coming to the hill country to really get away from the city life and soak up some country quiet, then the Guesthaus at Whitetail Oaks may be the Fredericksburg rental you've been looking for! This simple but spacious cabin is located about 15 minutes northwest of downtown Fredericksburg and is nestled on about 20 acres near the historic Cherry Springs community. Guests enjoy a comfortable king size bed, corner whirlpool tub for two in the bath, an electric ambience fireplace, mini-kitchen and a great view from the porch rockers. Perhaps the Guesthaus' most unusual feature, however, is the outdoor shower plus private hot tub. Now that's something you won't find every day! You will find a TV and Blue-ray player but no cable reception...remember, this is why you headed to the country! Bring along some DVD's however and enjoy a lazy morning sleeping in. For country peace with city comforts, the Guesthaus at Whitetail Oaks is hard to beat! NO PETS

Peaceful Stay- Amazing Star Gazing

The house and location were amazing. The stars at night were absolutely beautiful, and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the fireplace and the cozy ambiance it created. The hot tub was clean and such a blessing to enjoy. While the location is a little outside of town, the drive was beautiful and well worth the peace and quiet it offered. The only small challenge we experienced was that there were several cats (around 4–5) frequently on the front porch and occasionally trying to come inside. One did make it in briefly, and we had to guide it back out. Aside from that, our stay was wonderful and very relaxing

The Guesthouse is a great place to take a break from the busy everyday life. Great place to sit back and relax and just slowdown to enjoy the wildlife and peaceful countryside of the Texas hill country. Take a short drive into town for great restaurants and local shopping. Everything is set up perfect for an enjoyable relaxing stay. Can’t wait to go back.

Perfect Getaway

We really enjoyed the piece we had away from the city. Since there wasn't any distractions, me and my husband really got to enjoy each other. The scenery is exactly what we needed.

Enjoyed our stay

We have stayed at the Whitetail Oaks - Guesthaus - many times over the years. We have also stayed at some of their other cabins! Our favorite part is that the cabins are away from all the hustle and bustle of town but close enough to go into town anytime we like. I do recommend the Whitetail Oaks cabins if you like wildlife and peace and quiet :)

Perfect and peaceful

We tremendously enjoyed our stay! Very quiet and peaceful location with everything you need and not far from town/ either Fredericksburg or Llano. We enjoyed the birds , cats and occasional racoon visits. There was a fire ban so we couldn’t use the fire pit but we brought a portable stove and cooked a few mornings and nights. We plan to come back! Highly recommend place to stay!

Secluded Couples Getaway

Perfect cabin for couples to disconnect from the world and enjoy a romantic getaway. A king size bed, fireplace, hot tub, outdoor shower, and deer that come hang out in the front yard made this a great spot to stay and relax. Highly recommend (just know there is no WiFi - so be prepared to truly disconnect from the world).

Secluded and very comfortable

This property was about 20 mins out of town. Very gorgeous property, clean cabin and well maintained rock roads leading up to the property. Huge indoor tub with a shower wand as well as an outdoor shower and hot tub. Very comfortable king size bed and reclining loveseat. We enjoyed the property and plan to return.

Secluded Retreat

Our stay was wonderful. Enjoyed the comfy furniture, fireplace, hot tub, fire pit, rockers, and more. Great place to relax but not far from town either. While there was no stove to cook on in the kitchen, we did fine with outdoor cooking. However, we would have liked more cooking pans, utensils (esp knives!), a toaster and other items that would make meals a little easier. Overall great stay and great outdoor features. We loved the gazebo.

Disconnected from Society

If you are looking to disconnect from society, this is the place to go. It was so nice to be away from the business of the city life. Definitely coming back. I have a property near the beach, 307 oak lake jackson, and I'm willing to barter stays. Let me know if interested.

Wedding Anniversary

We love the seclusion. We were able to relax and recharge. We love the jacuzzi and the fire pit. The tub in the bathroom was a perfect fit for me, not so much for my husband. The shower being outside was a little weird, but not a big deal at all. Over all we would definitely come back again. Being able to see all the stars at night was also a big plus. They also have bird food on the property so you can feed the birds. I enjoyed feedind the birds.

Great place to unplug and relax!

We had an amazing and relaxing three nights here. The outdoor shower was great! We had a bit of a problem with the hot tub but the owner was there in 10 minutes to resolve the issue. No WiFi and the cell service is just good enough for email and texting. We brought DVDs but the cabin was equipped with about 20 of them. Games too! The fire pit was an extra bonus. We went into Fredericksburg a few times and it was only about a 15-20 minute drive. Overall, great place!

Terrible bed

My wife and I spent our 15th anniversary here, everything was great
 except the bed. It was loud and rickety. Every movement sounded like you were in the hull of an old wooden ship. Considering this was an anniversary trip for 2 (away from our 5 kids) the bed feeling like it would fall apart at any moment was such disappointment. There were so many other options for cabins, I wish we would have chosen another. If they get a new bed, this place would be great. We get such little time away, alone
 this really put a damper on our trip.

Did not stay

Mixup on app with dates and was unable to cancel do to holiday and no answer from anyone. Still charged even though we did not stay. Contacted and made every possible effort to resolve this issue with no help. The date is even right on here but was wrong on the reservation Absolute Charm was horrible to deal with! The girl we dealt with had 0 charm and was very rude!
