We enjoyed the beautiful home. However, we had to wash our own bedding. The sheets and blankets were dirty. The washing machine did not work well. We had to rewash the same load a couple of times. And make sure we were watching it because it would stop randomly.

Another one for the books…

We enjoyed our daughter’s birthday weekend at this beautiful cabin. It’s the perfect cabin for multiple families with enough space and games to keep the kids occupied. Thank you for allowing us to rent the home for the weekend.

We had a great time overall, with a few exceptions. The A/C didn’t work properly, and although Scott was fantastic about trying to fix it by sending someone to check the unit, the house was simply too big for it to cool efficiently—especially the bedrooms in the basement. The first night was pretty uncomfortable, and it took about 15 hours for the house to cool down. Even then, the basement bedrooms stayed warm. Once the upstairs finally cooled off and the sun went down, things were much more enjoyable. We also noticed that the neighbors were not very friendly, which put a bit of a damper on our stay. On the bright side, we did get to see elk from the back patio, which was a wonderful experience.

Beautiful house...but

The house was beautiful, but there are things that aren't in the description of the property. Extremely limited parking for the amount of people was a problem. The house was freezing cold and took 12 hours to get the heat up to a comfortable range. I left a note of several things that needed to be repaired or added to accommodate a large group. As a VRBO host myself, you don't always know something is broken if no one tells you. The house was lovely, but the extra fees would keep me from rebooking.

Beautiful, but needs some attention!

This is a beautiful home that provided adequate space and sleeping arrangements for our family reunion. We quickly settled in, only to find that the wifi didn't work, meaning no movies for the planned family movie night, or access to internet for those who needed to finish up work. We could not locate the router to reset the internet, but after reaching out to the property mgr., received a message the following a.m. informing us where to locate the router, accompanied with "Unfortunately the internet in Payson goes down a lot. Sorry." That was the first major hiccup, quickly followed by the fact that the oven did not work. The book of instructions for the property states that the gas oven takes some time to preheat. Another call to the mgr. indicated it could take up to 45 min. After multiple attempts, still nothing. That threw a major kink into feeding our family of 17. We were put in direct contact with the actual owner who was very polite and apologetic. Seems if you know this is an issue however, then make that clear up front in the property description or take the necessary steps to repair/replace. We also reported a leak under the kitchen sink and later found loose boards on a portion of the deck. The game room downstairs is awesome, as is the fire pit. Overall, a good stay, just not quite what we anticipated. The extra fees are a deterrent. Those directly responsible for managing/cleaning this property should be more aware of these things & alert the owners.

Unfortunately, the internet in Payson can be unreliable at times. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused and appreciate your patience. We were pleased to find it was back up and running by the morning- We regret that the oven was not functioning during your stay. Despite troubleshooting over the phone, we were unable to resolve the issue. We contacted several technicians, but none were available to service our location- Consequently, we ordered a new oven, but due to its size and our remote location, it couldn't be replaced during your stay. We understand how this impacted your meal preparations and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience- Throughout your stay, we did maintain open communication and treated the entire party to ice cream at the local dairy as a gesture of our apologies for the inconveniences you facedWe appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve and help this homeowner provide guests with the 5-star service they are known for. We hope to host you again soon!
