Okere Lakehouse Retreat is a stunning architectural holiday home, with breathtaking lake views inside and out and native bush and birdlife all around.

Modern, spacious and private, the house accommodates up to 14 guests.

The lake is a short walk from the house, via a private tree lined walkway (2 minute stroll). There’s even a dock for mooring your boat/jet ski. Explore lake Rotoiti on the kayaks provided or take the water taxi to the local hot pools.

Rotorua is only 20 minutes away

Okere Oasis offers privacy and space and is well suited for both small and large groups.

This expansive home is split over three levels, offering 4 spacious bedrooms and 4.5 modern bathrooms, comfortably sleeping up to 14 guests (maximum 10 adults recommended).

The mezzanine sitting room and open plan kitchen, dining and living areas are all cleverly designed to capture the breathtaking lake vista. These areas open on to a wraparound deck, complete with BBQ and outdoor furniture, just perfect for alfresco dining.

The master bedroom on the top floor is generously sized and contains a kitchenette, office desk and ensuite bathroom with corner spa bath. Also on this level is a mezzanine floor with two fold out sofa beds and the most majestic lake views.

On the main living level there are two king bedrooms, each with ensuite, and both opening out on to the elevated lake facing deck. On the lower level is an oversized open plan room with 4 single beds, a ping pong table and bifold doors which lead out to a patio and grass area. There's also a designer bathroom complete with freestanding bathtub on this lower level.

A custom built staircase will lead you from the house to the lake via a short native bush track. Down here you’ll find a grassy reserve on the waters edge. So bring the boat or jet ski, or use the kayaks provided to explore and adventure on Lake Rotoiti. A must do in the area is the Manupirua Hot Spring Pools in the middle of the lake - - accessed only by boat or water taxi.

For those needing to stay connected we have WIFI, Alexa, and multiple large screen smart TV’s. The kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances and there's even a basketball hoop in the front yard. For warmth in winter we have a wood burning fireplace in the living room, two heat pumps, several portable heaters, and extra blankets.

Okere Falls is home to several nature walks and waterfalls, white water rafting, Rotorua Zip Lines and the ever popular Okere Falls Cafe and Store. The redwood forest (home to some of the worlds best mountain biking trails) is only 15 minutes away, and Rotorua city is an easy 20 minute drive.

Guests have exclusive use of the entire property.

The property is located in the small lakeside suburb of Okere Falls. Home to nature walks and waterfalls, white water rafting, paddleboarding with glowworms, Rotorua Zip Lines and the popular Okere Falls Store and Cafe. Take a short stroll to the waterfalls and then stop off at the Okere Store for food and drinks afterwards.

An easy 20 minute drive will have you in the heart of Rototua City, where there's an abundance of attractions, from geothermal wonderlands and hot pools, to luge rides and world class mountain biking trails. See our guide book for recommendations on must do activities.

There is plenty of off-street parking at the property, including room for a boat and trailer.
The nearest boat ramp is Otaramarae, just 2 minutes away. Boats can be moored at the property's private jetty.

The house configuration is as follows:

Top floor:
- King bed in the master bedroom. Ensuite off master bedroom.
- 2x sofa beds in the open mezannine area (note this area can't be closed off- please refer to listing photos).

Middle floor:
- 2x King bedrooms, each with their own ensuites
- Kitchen, dining, living, main entry, wraparound deck

Lower floor:
- 4x single beds
- Ping pong table

We have a strict no party policy here. Quiet hours are from 10pm-7am.
