Athenree Haven is located in the quaint village of Athenree on the far reaches of Tauranga Harbour, Western Bay of Plenty. Our brand new self- contained studio is the perfect, peaceful centrally located spot for a relaxing or energising getaway.
The comfortable studio consists of a 3 separate spaces: living/kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom finished in a simple, stylish, natural interior.
Directly outside the bedroom and living area is a spacious, private outdoor living area with a tropical garden vibe.
Stroll on foot to the beautiful harbour’s edge to kayak, swim, fish or simply enjoy spying the fantastic bird life plus schools of fish and stingrays swimming about. Or soak in the mineral hot pools also within walking distance of your stay.
Just a few minutes’ drive away is beautiful Waihi Beach with 9 kilometers of glorious surf beach to enjoy and explore. Pop on your walking shoes and head over to stunning Orokawa Bay or scamper up ‘The Trig’ and be rewarded with breathtaking views. Waihi Beach village has everything you may need: cafes, shops and a Sunday market. Nearby historic Waihi and the Karangahake Gorge offer bush walks, gold mine, a cycle trail and a steam train.
