Casa Tierra est un lieu historique unique en son genre, situé à 4 pâtés de maisons de la Plaza de Santa Fe et à 1 pâté de maisons de Canyon Road, une scène d'art. Cette casita 2 chambres / 2 salles de bain est nichée dans le fleuve Santa Fe; la promenade de 6 minutes au centre de la ville est le long des trottoirs ombragés et de l'eau qui coule en saison.

Cet authentique adobe est dans les anciennes façons de peuples indigènes mudded main. Il est cette surface de terre rare et belle appliqué à la main qui donne à la maison son nom, Casa Tierra - Maison de la Terre. Casa Tierra est l'un des six tout-adobe, les maisons restantes aujourd'hui à Santa Fe tout mudded.

En entrant Casa Tierra, vous êtes accueillis par une grande chambre avec de hauts plafonds viga-poutres, planchers chevrons en briques, cheminée, et le musée d'art de qualité et d'antiquités. Le salon ouvre sur un granit surmonté cuisine avec cinq plaques de cuisson. Les deux chambres offrent un roi ou deux lits jumeaux possibilité de couchage et chacun a sa propre salle de bain carrelée Talavera joyeusement. Handmade portes, meubles, sculptures et boiseries dans toute offre un cadre rustique ambiance du Vieux Monde.
Casa Tierra ouvre sur quatre secteurs privé et invitant assis sous les arbres de cèdre et de cyprès vénérables - parfait pour communiant avec des amis ou simplement se détendre et profiter du temps seul. Ceci est vraiment une oasis par la rivière Santa Fe.

We have stayed at this property several times. We love it. Close to everything; super walkable area. Oasis by the River never disappoints. We have shared the home with another couple (ample sharing space) and my husband and I have rented it by ourselves. The kitchen has pretty much anything you need to fix a meal or reheat leftovers (or unbox take out).Noel, Maggie and Paul are outstanding hosts.

This VRBO was in a great location. Easy to walk to town, Canyon Road, and along the Santa Fe River. Very quiet neighborhood. The back yard was a nice way to sit outside and relax after a busy day. This was the ideal spot to stay in Santa Fe, as it was in walking distance to the arts area and many restaurants. Tucked away, it was very quiet. Everything was tastefully decorated and immaculately maintained. The two bedrooms each had their own bathroom, which was perfect for me and my bff. We did have a spot of trouble figuring out the door lock, but the host was immediately responsive and we easily resolved the issue (which involved closing the door vigorously as you exited). We would definitely stay here again and likely will in the near future.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Oasis by the Santa Fe River. The home is a stunning example of traditional pueblo-style architecture, filled with unique and thoughtful details. Great place to stay! We loved the casita! Loved the decor, ambiance, privacy in a quiet neighborhood, and the location. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. The patio was very nice for morning coffee. We had a very sweet bunny rabbit come through the patio 2 mornings in a row. He hopped right by our table. We had visits from hummingbirds too. We easily walked up Canyon Road from the casita. We rented a car so we drove to all the restaurants, etc. Don't miss the Farmer's Market, It was great! There was live music in the plaza one evening. We enjoyed food at The Shed, The Pantry, and Coyote on the Rooftop. One evening we spent at Tumbleroot Brewery out on the back patio listening to live music. We ate dinner from the food truck which was surprisingly good. One day we drove up the High Road to Taos, then took the Low Road back to Santa Fe just to see the scenery. We stopped at Sugar Nymphs Bistro in Penasco on the way to Taos. They had the best scones ever! The food was good! We had a great stay in Santa Fe and loved the casita. It was warm and cozy--full of character, antiques, and the New Mexican vibe. We would come back.

The owner, NOËL BENNETT, has lived most of her life in the Southwest. After graduating from Stanford University, she lived with the Navajo for eight years and authored nine books on Navajo weaving, history and culture. She continues to write and paint from her studios in Santa Fe and in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

While living in Santa Fe for ten years, in the heat of the summer NOEL would walk her Komondor dog along the Santa Fe river. Always the shady paths and trickling water were refreshing and revitalizing---a stark reminder that water in the Great Southwest is sacred.
One day she noticed that the two hand-mudded adobe homes along the river--a home and guest home that had always fascinated her--were for sale! There was no doubt that the location was unbeatable. Once inside, she found the earthiness, solar absorption, and quietness of the authentic adobe to be also irresistible. Since then she and her husband, "SIR DOKTOR" RUSSELL BETTS (International Environmentalist) have worked to remodel the homes to bring them into today's living standards--ever mindful of maintaining their original ambiance.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

But there is more! What struck NOËL especially was how clearly the homes manifested Frank Lloyd Wright's architectural style. First there is his signature honey-comb 120 degree angles so reflecting the way humans most comfortably function within architectural spaces. Second, there is his hallmark "continuous space" in which architecture is wielded to blur the line between humans and nature. Having herself grown up in California in a Frank Lloyd Wright designed home, plus having lived with the Navajo for eight years, plus having previously lived in a double-walled adobe, the unique combination of styles and materials ("Imagine! A 'Frank Lloyd Wright Adobe!') immediately felt like home.
Over the years, NOËL has pieced together the fascinating history of these homes. Specifically they were HAND-built in the 1950s by Harry Pierson, an Economic Anthropologist/Columbia University Professor and co-author of "Trade and Market in the Early Empires."
But fact finding continues: They have yet to find out how much of a hand Frank Lloyd Wright--or more likely one of his Taliesin West apprentices--might have played in creating the dual sense of coziness and expansiveness inherent in this oasis along the Santa Fe River.
