Relaxing place to spend a holiday

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kiwi’s cottage feels new and cozy. The owners had everything you would need to enjoy your stay. Beds were comfy and showers were modern. Nice deck for relaxing. Great tv situation and nice fireplace. One of the best homes we have enjoyed with Sanctuary.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Kiwi's Cottage was in immaculate shape. A beautifully redone 2-bedroom, 2-bath cottage with a nice back deck and fire pit. Only a 10-minute walk from downtown Carmel and all the stores and restaurants. We recommend this rental cottage to everyone.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Best home rental we have ever had. One month in Carmel. Home was recently updated with great attention to detail. Super clean (not always the case in rentals). Great location. Every during Monterey car week was quiet location. Sanctuary Rentals were super helpful and attentive. Highly recommend!

Mixed review

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were several issues with our stay at Kiwi's cottage. We had trouble getting in when we first arrived. It took almost an hour before we got in. The cottage is on Carpenter street and we have a service animal. It was very dangerous walking on carpenter and crossing the street. We would have appreciated knowing that this was a busy thoroughfare. Second, we called about the washing machine-it was full of black mold and the laundry room smelled. We called and you all sent a service person who sprayed it, but it still had mold and smelled awful during our entire stay. When we first moved in, the patio was a mess, full of bird poop (all over furniture) and the gas for the grill was rusted and dirty. You sent someone over to clean the area and he said you all would need to get someone else to clean the patio. He did provide us with a new gas tank, however, the area was dirty and we never used it. Next, we couldn't seem to regulate the heat. It was very cold in the house and complicated to change the thermostat. Most days, it was in the 60s in the house. The driveway needs to be redone/repaved. It's full of cracks and very uneven and dangerous. We were worried we would fall. Last, we called several times to complain that they were putting on a new roof next door and started work before 8 in the morning. Nothing was done and there was hammering and loud noise for the remaining ten days of our stay. We also tried to get mail delivered to the address you provided us, and it was difficult. We had to have mail resent and no one in the office in town, seemed to know how to help us.
