Notre charmant chalet se trouve tranquillement niché au milieu d'une forêt de genévriers, de pins et de chênes, entouré de somptueux jardins vivaces dans un quartier charmant. À votre arrivée, vous vous retrouverez rapidement à vous installer et à vous détendre dans notre beau salon avec ses plafonds voûtés, sa belle cheminée en calcaire blanc, à regarder votre émission ou film préféré sur notre téléviseur plasma HD 46 pouces et lecteur DVD Blue Ray. Une fois que vous êtes installé, amusez-vous à socialiser dans notre cuisine gastronomique équipée d'un Viking Grill et de tout ce dont un chef a besoin pour préparer un fabuleux repas pour ses invités. Enfin, avant de vous retirer pour la soirée, profitez de la cheminée privée dans la chambre principale et de la compagnie d'un être cher dans cette chambre incroyablement confortable.

Notre charmant chalet est à quelques pas de l'avenue Ocean où vous trouverez de nombreux magasins, galeries d'art et restaurants de renommée mondiale. En vous promenant sur Ocean Avenue, vous vous trouverez au pied de Carmel Beach. Ici, vous trouverez une belle plage de sable blanc, où vous pourrez pique-niquer ou simplement vous blottir sous une couverture confortable et regarder le coucher du soleil.

Non seulement notre chalet est situé au centre, nous sommes également à quelques minutes en voiture de Carmel Valley, Pebble Beach ou 17 Mile Dr., Monterey Bay Aquarium et Cannery Row ou dirigez-vous vers le sud et profitez de la magnifique côte de Big Sur le long de la route 1.

Terri was a pleasant guest during her month-long stay at La Vita Dolce. Communication was easy throughout the reservation, and neighbors commented on how quiet and respectful she was during her time at the cottage. She also left behind a thoughtful gift for us, which was very much appreciated. We would be happy to host Terri again in the future.

Everything was wonderful. Loved the house. Only thing lacking was the accuracy of the map. We all thought it was closer to Ocean, not at least 6 blocks away. It made it difficult for my sister and husband who are in their 80s to walk to town.My husband and I would definitely stay again. We loved it!!! Very comfortable beds and furnishings.

Perfect Carmel by the Sea Hideaway!!!!

I stayed at LaVita Dolce for 6 weeks in late 2013. The home is well equipped and in perfect condition. The owner has paid attention to every detail. I have stayed at many VRBO homes during my travels but I will say this this is by far my favorite. Pack your bags and get ready for your Carmel adventures, you have found the perfect place!

House was well stocked with essentials. 10-15 min walk to Ocean.Bit of a challenge walking back up the hills. Did lose 3 lbs from the exercise so it was worth it. Quiet street, great neighbors John and Diane, great to have some one to lean on if you have a problem. Access to the garage is also a plus. Parking any where in Carmel can be a challenge

Quintessential charming and beautifully decorated Carmel cottage in a lovely peaceful setting

We’ve been married 41 years and this is the perfect romantic setting - like an Italian villette. Beautiful amenities, lots of sun exposure plus ample bright task lighting. The home is close to gorgeous walking paths, close to Ocean Avenue shopping and restaurants, Carmel Valley retail plus Monterey. Very quiet and so safe, lovely neighbors too. We were in the home for a month, working side by side, and really lived in it, cooking as well as basking on the front patio on warmest days. John and Karen really care about their guests - evident from the attention to the lovely decor to being responsive to our routine questions.

Overall this property is excellent. Wood floors throughout make cleaning easy, living room seating fairly comfortable, beds were very comfortable, bathrooms updated/excellent and access to downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea or Highway 1 is easy. Quiet neighborhood and very friendly and helpful next door neighbor! Minor items -- would like to see newer coffee maker, mirrors in two of the bathrooms were small for the ladies, I am 81 years old so the walk downtown and the return walk was a bit of a workout, but this is an issue not applicable to most people. Just comes with age. The property host was excellent. Quick response to questions and could not have been a better host.

This is a lovely and comfortable Carmel cottage. Great light and outdoor seating areas and all the amenities. The hosts are super responsive and we would definitely stay again.

Excellent location in Carmel

Our home was in a great location in Carmel allowing us to park our car and walk everywhere. My son and I even walked to Pebble Beach everyday for the US Open. John was wonderful to work with throughout the entire process. John’s home has three very nice bedrooms and a great kitchen if you like to eat in. During our stay we had family and friends stay with and everyone felt completely comfortable. We will certainly return as Carmel is our favorite place on earth.

Gorgeous!

Beautiful home, fully equipped. It is located a five blocks from the center of Carmel, so you can walk to the beach while admiring all the nice neighborhood. It is like a fairy tail. five stars for sure!

QUIET LOCATION IN CARMEL

My wife and I had been renting another vacation residence in Carmel during the month of July for the past several years and this year we wanted to extend our stay through the month of August. The only vacation rental that was available for August and fit our needs for the entire month of August was “La Vita Dolce,” hereinafter referred to as the house. The photos of the house on VRBO reflect an accurate and current view. The house is equipped with every conceivable accessory you would want in a vacation rental. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood and is a walkable distance to downtown Carmel. The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet as well as an ensuite master bathroom which has a large walk-in shower, two sinks, and a separate water closet. The master bedroom also has a large TV on the wall. The two other bedrooms have access to a full bathroom with one sink, toilet, and shower/bath combination as well as a half bath. Both of these bathrooms are down the hall from bedrooms two and three. We used the king size bed and the queen bed and they were both very comfortable. The bedroom (3rd. bedroom) with the full-size bed was not used, however, it did have a very nice large closet. The laundry area has a newer full-size front load washer and dryer conveniently located off the hallway. The family room has a very comfortable couch as well as two oversized leather type chairs to view the nice large TV or just relax by the fireplace. There are two sets of wood french doors off the family room and dining area that lead to a patio that has a gas barbecue for grilling. The kitchen is well equipped for just about any type of cooking event. The appliances include a fully-integrated, Miele Slimline dishwasher, Viking gas stove/oven, GE side by side refrigerator and a Panasonic microwave oven. There is also a nice size pull-out type pantry. There is a detached garage for your parking convenience, however, it will not accommodate large SUV’s which is what we were driving. You can park in the driveway or also in front of the house. As a bonus, there were passes for two to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. These passes can be used on multiple occasions. John and Karen, the owners of “La Vita Dolce,” were extremely helpful when a few minor issues came up during our stay. I don’t think there is too much else to add other than we can highly recommend “La Vita Dolce.” We have already booked for a portion of next summer.

Paradise away from Home!

Was a get away trip to visit my Friend who was staying here and found this cottage house to be a charming beautiful place to stay at. I can say the pictures do not do justice for this home, just can't capture it a photo! Very spacious and beautifully decorated. Location was perfect from the beach, to the wonderful town and all the places around! I highly recommend this as a get away to anyone.

We stayed in John and Karen's property during a home remodel, which took longer than expected to complete. They were very accommodating and responsive to our needs, and we found their house to be very comfortable, nicely appointed, and conveniently located. We highly recommend staying at this property.
